Nail spicules

Don't know how on earth a person gets such such thick nails and I had such a hard time pulling those nails out today. "wow, that's a huge piece of nail coming off."Sadist me.Geez, I should have taken those pics of nail spicules! Damn..now I gotta wait for the next 'victim' to come along.

The other stuffs I always enjoy debriding neuropathic ulcers till they bleed and yet patients are still happily sitting on the chair due to lack of sensation on feet.

Got a mail from an ex-pt of mine from Perth saying that they are doing fine..bah bah. As you see, my car licence is registered with their home address. Because each state of Australia carries their own licence card, unless I decided to covert to New south wales, I just stick the one from Perth. Than again, I do not have a permanent home in Perth, so the follks were nice to help me out on that.

"Oz telecom sux" -that's tomorrow.

Car park fight

Ok, it's not really a fight. Rather while I was coming out of the parking slot, there was a car(the Magna) on my left signalling while waiting for me come out. The Nissan petrol on my right was waiting for me to get out of the slot obviously. The drama started once I get out of the slot, the Nissan went right into my slot. Leaving the poor Magna signalling and waiting for nothing. Magna was beeping loudly and I bet the driver in the car must be cursing and swearing at that Nissan driver for being stealing the lot.
So I did not witness any physical fight at all. Such a shame.HEE.

Go the Sydney Swans! Sigh* West Coast Eagles could have won by just another kick though.

CCB accountant (Beng-yish blog)

Feel like a chao ah huay today. The reason is because I am so piss with that KNNCCB accountant. I hope he better write a good piece of itemised details that has been charged on my fees. KNN tell me over the phone that:" I charged 150 an hour."
WTF? I've done most of the work, u made mistakes on my net income avenue, and bloody charge me like AU$1350. You mean you took 10 hours plus to do my tax return. I don't believe it. I'm paying you to check through my work and not the other way around. More importantly, I am *ucking piss that I could have end up paying more tax if I don't check it through.
Long term managment plan:

Complaint to be made to: (if the letter is not justisfied)
1) tax agent board
2) Insitute of Charactered Accountant
3) Office of fair trading

If he ever made me pay those fees, I would hope he will crush and burn into pieces.
He's not being honest with his fees in the first place when I asked for estimate quote. Please lor uncle, if you think u charge 150/hr , I would still go for your service? No you stupid moron.

Let's just say would you pay for a rotten orange for a high price?
He needs a lesson on customer service.

Ever since I come to Oz, I've developed a liking to watch the rugby game.YEAAAAH.
This Saturday,it's between the Sydney Swans and the team from my old home town (perth), West Coast Eagles.
Well, some people said rugby is like a game for animals only. Where got...there are soo many muscular yummy dudes tackling each other for the ball.

I started a new job today at a local hospital...will try to sneak a few pics up next week.

My Dr friend

There are probably hundreds of blogs out there written by various medical professionals. Very unfortunate on my pal, his blog was being discovered by one of his patients and thus, leading to an inquiry by the local health bureau.
That's not the point.
Firstly, what does the definition of blog means? In fact, it's pretty much up to a blogger to decide whether he or she wants is to be frictional with true or untrue substance in it. In other words, the contents in the blog may not be fully evidenced as to what is presented in real life. That's why disclaimers are used by some bloggers because you never know some ultra sensitive nut cases will take your entry for real.
Blog gives me the personal space I needed and to write whatever that's on my mind. I can't totally agree that it is 100% factual to what I've written. Therefore, as for my friend's case, working in a professional is hard enough, all he needs is some private space to vent out his frustrations (come on, we all get angry for a reason!??). Then again, his nutcase ex patient choses to admit that my friend was writing all about him. Seriously, there are probably millions of blogs around the world about bitching about friends, colleagues, systems, workforce......and the list goes on.

Such situations can be quite tacky to handle especially when healthcare regulations/ ethnics may be involved. Whatever it is, I believe the organisations should at least support the staff and try their best to resolve the matter in the most possible way. Sigh* Unfortunately, when customer service seems to be the top priorty, those local organisations would prefer to wipe the ass of nutcases than protecting the staffs.

Castles fantasy

I've never seen a castle in my life. Mainly from the pictures of travel books. The old heritage structure of the buildings fascinates me. Any movies (Lord of the ring, Troy) which involves the scenes on castles would definitely keep my eyes open. It would be lovely to have a wedding reception in a castle and doing the ballroom dancing with the beloved husband after that.I would have a diamond tiara on a 60s hairdo, wearing a white modern victoria era wedding gown (plus fake long eye lashes).

I am dreaming......

I cannot get pregnant because... ...

Day 1: Start of Roaccutane 10mg
Deadline: Till 16th Oct, dose will then increase to 20mg daily.

Seen a dermatologist yesterday and he diagnosed with me with cystic acne (most serious form). *sob* He added on that it was indeed very unfortunate. *holding back my tears*
Every 1 in 5 patients (particularly the females of course) asked me "what has happened to your face??"
Obviously it acne on my face *duh*. Can't be fungal right? If not I'll be scatching myself like a monkey.

**** ****
Most of my clients are elderly folks. There was this couple, in particular, came in one day where they have recently celebrate their 50th anniversary.

During treatment: (names have been changed)

ME:" Mr Barney, your skin on ya feet is really fragile or thin."

MRS Barney looks on hubby:" oh, that's why you can't take joke isn't it because you got such thin skin."

ME: *giggles softly*

MR Barney: *trying to stay cool and calm - or rather, ignoring his wifey's comment.

Job review

After working for a year in Australia, life may not looks greener here as compared to Singapore. Most people would think that I am having a fun time here working and playing. Not exactly true though. Firstly, I got a aussie permanent residency because I wanted to stay here and gained much experiences if possible from various health care settings. Most podiatrists are working as a sub contractor to the clinics which means pods will pay their own tax and superannuations. Therefore each time when I got my pay, I have to 'dump' some money to the taxation office. For instance, let's just say that I am earning $1800 per week, the taxation will absorb $580. Isn't that abit too much?? If you don't pay tax regularly, you will end up paying a lump sum at the end of financial year. My outgoing expenses are mainly involved the rent, flights, car insurance/petrol, assortment of bills, continuing education and family commitment.

In general,
whatever you earn = expenses spent = no gain of $ in your bank.

My 'little' bro is going uni next year and my dad apparently thinks I am rich working here.
So his tuition fees will be on me..no choice. *SOB* If only I open a clinic, that would be a different story.

Ever since coming to Sydney, I haven't even spend a single cent on facial and hair cut. I am beginning to feel real 'ugly'.

Getting into retailed mood

My 100 bucks+ for today go to:

Glasson glitter tops x2 = $15
Belt: $15
Scarf and bag= $12
Shoes = $35
Singlets= $19
Skirt for a friend=$10

It's just one of those days where you feel like spending money to be happy.
More retail tomorrow... ...
Checklist:
1) Long beaded necklaces
2) Tree of Life top
3) mini Cardi

Maybe yes, I am a shopaholic. Besides staying so far from the city, I really don't know where should I go or spend my weekends.
I cooked Madras curry chicken today because I've got so much free time to prepare and cook.
Hopefully, I'll be playing basketball next wed with my former patient and team.

*****
My bro asked me if I have prepared enough $ for his school fees next year. He was asking like 4k a semester. There are like 6 semesters in total.Sigh* Now I know why I can never feel rich in my bank.

Back from Christchurch, NZ

Went over to Christchurch last Wednesday for a mega foot conference. Picked up Marlene early morning at her place so that she can drive my car and sent me off to the airport. Sydney's traffic is shocking. Freaking cars everywhere on the road by the time it got to 7am. I can't afford to take a chance to book for a cab. Just in case I get to meet some kind of super lousy 'middle-eastern look' drivers who don't even know how to get to the airport at all. What's worst, that stupid dude charged me 100bucks for the cab fare *middle finger*.

Back on Christchurch, the whole place looks like a big English town. Most of the time I spent on walking everywhere there. I guess I found another place perfect for retirement ;p while the first choice would be still Perth. There wasn't many malls to go to (which is a good thing) and basically I would just venture in places like Botanic garden, Museum, arts centre, soveniur shops and a shop full of used clothings. Oh I bought quite a nice wool chequered skirt with pleats for only 14 bucks plus Made in Edinburg somemore.Sounds quite boring? Well, most of the nights I was resting early. No mates to go for a drink anyway ;( The hotel which I stayed at provides daily breakfast. The hosts are very lovely people. Even got me a bag of breakfast goodies just before I leave for an early flight at 6am the next day.

At the conference itself, the most appealing part would be the trade exhibition. All sorts of sports brands, medical suppliers, and shoes companies were there to present their lastest products. On the other hands, most delegates were whipping off many samples (like the foot creams/lotions) and shove it into their carriers as they browsed through those stalls. Hopefully in the next conference , there will be more case study presentations rather than research ones. At least abit of fair mixed, so that people like me who can never like research will not be having too many cups of coffees in order to stay awake throughout the whole talk.

*sigh* I am suffering from acne now. Quite demoralising. Even patients asked me what has happened to my face. I can't wait to see a dermatologist in 2 weeks' time. Apparenlty, I just got to know that manuka honey may help to deal with the problem.
