What a beautiful lovely day.
I think a lot yesterday night while trying to fall asleep. I was thinking about my future in podiatry. Should I pursue my interest (diabetes/pedal ulceration) and start to write a CV to the hospital? In fact, I wanted to do that very much. However, as far as to my understanding, the hospitals here usually employs "senior" pods.(means they have 2 years or more experience). Vice versa, I would say I have dealt with countless of diabetes wounds, surgical wounds, removal of drainage since my days as a nursing students. From my point of view, hospital is the best place to start for learning and gaining as much experiences as I could. Maybe I should give it a go. Who cares if they fail on me...at least I've tried....

Yippee! I'm finally got registered and now I work legally as a Podiatrist.AH HEM* I stayed at home yesterday "nursing" my sore neck and shoulders (like putting hot pack up to 6 times a day) Today I feel so much better, less sore at least. When I put myself on the heat pack for the 6th time....I kept thinking why these aches and soreness keep buggering me?? And I never felt so depressed and frustrated...On the other hand, I felt better when i began to think of people who are far off worse than me, stricken with horrible diseases or illnesses.

Anyway, did my grocery this morning so that i can avoid the crowds at the supermarket tomorrow. Caught a movie called LOVE ACTUALLY. Rate: 7.5/10 One particular scene showed an actor and actress who are supposed to be sex partners in a 'porn' movie. Engaging in a sex role wasn't that easy for them.In fact, being a professional actor, he demonstrated his concern for his colleague and provide assurance in order for the acting to proceed smoothly. To cut the story short, it was a happy ending for both of them.
One thing I've learnt from here is sex is not everything. Some may think it is a need but it is what THEY THINK is a need. Love is not made up of sex. There is soo many 'ingredients' in a love. Obviously, 2 important factors would be the committents and efforts between partners . With the basic building block of trust, it is then the couple may proceeds to the intimacy level.
Suffering from mental block at the moment.....will write more tomorrow.

Merry Christmas to all and myself.
Just came back from an invitation of BBQ organised by my ex-paitent and his wife. The food was fantastic with Barbi lamb, bacon mashed potatoes, crayfish salad, grilled hotdogs and lovely cupcakes for sweets. Sheesh* hide that tummy!
This also gave me the opportunity to meet his other family members and even though i feel a little weird at times coz i don't really know anyone there.
So, i tell myself to be cool and things will be fine.

It's 2 am now....i reckon I'll sleep like a log tomorrow or pig *onik*
Guess tomorrow's program will include change of vaccum bag, making jelly, and probably go for an evening jog (rather not die in the midist of soaring heat weather).

Friday I'll be watching the Lord of the ring! Whee! tickets are booked. Gonna watch with Annathrax.

Received from a SMS from my favourite g.fs in singapore. They are having a whale of good time in Zouk club. Wish i was there...perhaps it will not be soo bored here after all.

I must admit I have been slacking a little on my blog. :P
So I have passed my final exams and right now, just waiting to get registered to the podiatry before applying for a service provider number with health insurance commission.
Current plans:
1) Awaiting for my Permanent Residency response.Wish they can process that faster.DUH*
2) Doing my 2nd degree in Nursing conversion program which will start in March 04.
This allows the diploma holders to convert into nursing degrees within 1 semester of studying. So why not?
3) Went for a job interviewed in this private practice in West Perth. The boss will be away for a holi i guess and he needs a locum to be there. Details are yet to be finalised until i get my registration done.

Other than that, spending most of my time reading pod stuffs, hanging around at the malls to avoid the drastic heat weather, going to beach, Go karting for charity last Sun, and last but not least, selling stuffs on e-bay.

And also, I've been saving every $2 gold coin i have for my digital camera.
Hope Santa is reading this blog.........

Summary of my Melbourne trip:
Finally I got to meet my so=called virtual pal, VN. Initally, I was rather worried about the awkardness as i'll be staying at her place too. Nevertheless, I had a great time in Melbourne and we chatted heaps like old pals till wee hours in the morning. Her mom is a great cook too. Then again, not sure when will be able to meet again coz she'll be working as a dentist in Mt Isa, Queensland. I can't stop thinking how cute her dog , Baci (a jack russell) is.

Day 1 and 2:
Suffered from headaches +neck stiffness which almost "killed" me.So I put myself on panadol and felt better after that.
Took trams in the city. Walk around a far bit since her apartment is in the city itself. Went to Bridge Road where all the factory outlets are and bought a Witchery top for 10 buck with original price slashed from $139. And followed by 2 more tops from Esprit outlet for $10 each.

Day 3 and 4:
Went to Chinatown and city again. Brought Baton West around the city and take pictures.BatonWest orignates from this website (www.virtualtourist.com) and it supposed to travel west and passed it on to other travellers who are members of this website. It was good fun ..heh..
Went to Queen Victoria market. Suppose to close at 5pm (i think) but the shops start to pack up for closure 2 hours in advance! NOt happy shopper! Wanted to get this pair of sandals but the man refused to give me a discount so in the end never get anything.

Day 5: Went to High Point Shopping Mall.It has everything under one roof. But we didn't get to stay for long and so, went back to City again.bought a surfer shorts for $7 bucks. Can't imagine the store in Perth is still selling the original price!

Day 6: Booked a tour to Great Ocean Road to see 12 apostles and London Bridge.Altogether the tour group consists of 12 girls and 1 male driver. He must be in luck that day. It was a great girlie outing.Met 5 Chinese American girls from Boston, 2 Queenslanders, one from Sydney, One English girl in total. Yakking so much on stuffs like the hollywood news, English serials, latest gossips about Justin Timberlake ...non stop.Gets real noisy towards the end of trip.It was sensational in general. We also exchanged E-mails too :)

Day 7: Went to Bendigo (miners town) with VN for her job interview there. Journey took about 2 hours of train from Melbourne City, The town is certainly a big one to walk around. We took about more than half an hour to reach the hospital (where the interview is).The map itself looks soo..close to the train station.Anyhow, everything was cool at the end. Also had a look at the Bendigo World war museum which is an eye-opener.In fact, i think i can spend the whole hour in the museum looking at the artefacts and reading stories of WWI.
Both of us fell asleep on the train on our way back......zzzz

Day 8: took a few pics with Baci. And get ready to head back to Perth. :D

Yippee! Finally I've reached the end of the road of studying!! WOOHOOOOOOO!!
So right after Osce exam last Wed, the fellow mates and myself got smashed at the pubs and in fact, I've been start drowning myself with alcohol from 3pm all the way till 1am.
Oh no, alcohol makes me feel fat the next day. Then again, it was an all good fun and get pissed session. Mark also had a dinner function room booked at Currie Hall Opposite University of Western Australia. All of us indeed enjoy an excellent feast of barbie food like hotdogs, bake potatoes, casear, greek salad and roast chicken. AMC and CK +his wifey were there too. AMC is actually kinda a "happening" mother. She danced as if no one is watching and went down to the pub and chill out with us.Absolutely fantastic!
We got our Tshirts made!!
The motto is:
POD SQUAD 2003
sounds cool hey...just like the detectives/Foot police.

G, one of my nursing friend, called me up in the arvo. And in the midist of our conversation, i actually revealed that I wanted to continue another semester of degree in Nursing. I hate it when he said it's just a waste of time and he felt that it doesn't make any difference! Freak himself and why did he do that in the first place? Doesn't mean I don't practice anymore I can't go for the degree. Ultimately, I would return to Singapore and plus a nursing degree is sure come in handy. Plus, if the timing is right to study, why not? Then again, who can gurantee that in near future that I don't return to nursing workforce and handling Intravenous tubes to bottles of medications.
I always feel that having a diploma is like 3/4 done towards an award degree and I should continue it.

I think he's probably jealous of me. Tee HEE! :P

Saturday, November 15, 2003

Almost forgot that it is my parent's anniversary today.
I mean probably this anniversary would be a very special one where both of them could get together without my brother and myself around at home.
One exam down and one more to go on Wed. And few days later, i'll be going to Melbourne for a week and I;ll be living with Eviltooth's house!! yay* Oh can;t wait to see Baci the little Jack Ruscko..

Last Sunday was my cousin's wedding (on mom's side). In fact, this is such a good opportunity to catch up with fellow cousins from Malaysia as well. Then again, what a waste that I'm in Perth.I mean, I would love to talk and get to know them better. Malaysians cousins seldom comes to singapore unless they really have to...usually bounded by work and studying. The usual gathering happens only during the Chinese new Year. Apparently, mom's 2 elder brothers and their families all sat on the same table during wedding dinner and having fun yakking sessions. Sometimes, there should be more gathering like this! Like my 3rd uncle's family from Malaysia hardly seen the first Uncle's family (singapore) at all......
I do respect family values and cultures. Not saying I'm a mommy's or daddy's girl.
Dad once said:" Even if the whole world has tumbled or fallen onto my head, family is the one who will always be there supporting you.
Obviously, one of the criteria in terms of selection of my future partner (if it exists) must know how to love me and family.

Why Australian Channels doesn't have any NBA or WWF (world wrestling federation) on TV? I'm getting sick looking at footy news, rugby news and perth glory.....geez, it seems that only these games are "alive". Boring *hit.

Too much of foot theory almost got me killed......

Friday, November 07, 2003

Tis good is Friday! And the first paper falls on next Saturday.Wish time could hurry up a little! The learning is still a continous and yet monotonous mode. The weather warms up like a ball of heat which has just attacked your house. And of course, that makes studying more difficult and now I'm having the fan on 24/7.
Not a good time to blog now.....my brains appeared to be a little fried by the studying and weather.
Meanwhile, sagittal facilitation model continues..

Thursday, November 06, 2003

I'm not sure why I always end up updating my blogs during exam period.
Right now, taking a break from reading Root theory....i suppose that is a "sure" question to be out as quoted by CR. CR....definitely a big fan of ROOT and his instincts on foot function is certainly well commendable. I always find it amusing how he told us about urguing his theory with some American podiatrists (look, there is the east and west sides too) and 'should baby be thrown out of bathwater' is still ringing at my ears.
what do i remember at the moment?
STJ 20 deg inversion 10deg eversion
Has 2 axes: transverse 42 degrees; sagittal plane 16 degrees.
Normal ROM of joints should not be painful, crepitus, restricted.
Difference between clonic(jerky)/tonic spasms
Symmetry of range of motion *** this is something which makes me wonder........
Root et al only concluded that there may be variances in the direction of axis of joints or shapes of the bones in the joint.

In CKC, when calc everts, the talar adducts and plantarflexes. The talar moves in presence with internal rotation of tibia.Proximal end of tibia moves forward with knee slightly flexed position....

Next, MTJ........

Poor Quokkas are getting club down by the rangers as stated on the news today. Maybe it is for the benefit of the public and quokka population. However, where is the sense of humanity for these animals? What have they done wrong in the first place and to think that the rangers are looking to euthanise quokkas in a more humane manner via carbon dioxide poisoning???

Neck stiffness is still on the go.Seen the physio yesterday with a student. I reckon that clinical supervisor is soon to be giving up on me. The neck treatment has been constantly ongoing for 2 months. I'm compliance, watch the time I've spend on sitting/studying, using my hot packs, doing exercises. And my cervical and thoracic spines are stiffen like a washboard. That's Not what I said. Seriously, i think my neck needs some vigorous deep massage which was done by another physio last year. Well, gonna make another appointment then...... meanwhile mugging continues...

I'm beginning to enjoy that Tv Show "queer guys for straight guy" on every Monday night. In this show has demostrated how these 5 fantastic gay dudes modified this chosen straight guy with each of their individual qualities like lifestyle, culture, food/wine, fashion and home decor... It is amazing to see the final effect on this straight guy and ultimately improving his "quality of life?" I love that guy who in charge of fashion....."shopping is my cardio".
Definitely this show is better than Ricky Lake or Jerry Springer.

Okay, AMC has e-mailed a list of 30 over conditions to be tested on OSCE.Arrrgghh!gosh* need to buck up!!! the list looked horrific too!

Back to show, can't wait for the Law and Order on Thursday.

Monday, November 03, 2003

Taking a break from studying. My cervical and shoulder stiffness are killing me! Geez, no doubt I have been doing my SELF SNAGS (forgot the actual name of the cervical exercises)faithfully as instructed by the physio plus hot packs 3 times a day.Additionally,i keep watch on the time I've spent sitting on the chair and not exceeding more than 30 mins and my posture.......is so hard to avoid in that Slouch position.
Then again, for the sake of my patients and future career as a pod I must study hard but smart.

Nike says :" Just do it".

Sunday! Lovely day for any outdoor activities. And why am i doing at home hibernating? Oh well, i just need to finish reading my Paeds notes so that will be the objective for today. 17 days more to go before the final paper arrives. Whee!

After exams, there are so much stuffs waiting for me to do.Firstly I want to learn how to do HTML-ing, have to get B to see a podiatrist in the public hospital because he doesn't have any private insurance cover, find a job, sort out my permanent residency, clear the junks in my room, going to beach for power walks and most importantly, dad may be coming for a short travel.

Thanks to Sissy ( my dear med friend)....and now i'm falling in love with this Canon A80 digi cam. Hmmm....that would be nice if I am able to illustrate my own pod dermato atlas someday...something to think about....

Halloween just passed and unlike last year, kids came knocking on my doors for lollies. And in reply, I'll ask trick or treat.
Yesterday was the last day of uni. Oooo what a feeling! So C has arranged a picnic at the uni and it was good almost all the classmates turn up.
Never know where did i get the courage to leave home and come over to Perth to study Podiatry. Prior coming to WA, there are a number of my friends was generally wonder what on earth am i doing another 3 years of studying. Besides, i've already got my nursing qualification and I could simply just go for another year of conversion (from diploma -degree) nursing degree. Learning is an ongoing process and one should never stop in regardless of any ages.
Right now, my main priority is to get over the exams first.
In fact, I would really like to start off to work in public hospitals...diabetes and foot ulcerations are always my favourite topics.

Thursday, October 30, 2003

Had my mega research presentation (this took one whole year to complete) yesterday at University of Western Australia. Even though I'm not the arranged speaker from the group, I have the obligation to answer the questions from the audience. And that certainly increased the tension level. Anyway, straight after the presentation, didn't get a chance to mingle with the surgeons and the private practitioners..which is such a waste. Coz' there may be a good job opportunity employment.*lol* J has reserved a table for dinner with my group mates and their partners at Matilda bay. Except me being without the...partner. :<

So, the main highlight of the blog is this bitch supervisor at a clinic.Named her B then.Who cares if her name starts with A. As her general knowledge and skill levels is beyong the level which one can imagine. Due to such factors, i try my best to avoid having her patients or rather, i prefer the other supervisors around. She was nasty enough to write some BAD comments on my evaluation forms. And yet, she wasn't the one assessing me face to face and neither did she reinforce on what areas of improvement that i should focus on.She may sound like one of the Angels with the most beautiful smile and sexy dress sense. Angel in disguise indeed.
Well, this is not gonna take me down by saying that I'm lack of initiative, too laidback or motivation.
She will have her "payback time"....not now..someday...sooner or later.
Anyway, I've feedback to the head of department and surprisingly, there are some issues going around the clinic with other students. So she has reassured me on that.

Who knows, she might find a necrotic toe in her car.

Tuesday, October 28, 2003

Woohoo! 3 more days to go in the uni and at last! freed from uni life!!!!!!
Then again, the road of chao mugging is full of turmoil and traumatized notes around too. There will be 2 major papers which sum up the 3 years of studying.
This is not the best blog i;m writing now.....will continue later...
feeling a wave of stress coming towards me now.

Sunday, October 19, 2003

Spending most of my morning and early afternoon digging out notes from year 1 semester one.I gotta get prepared for my final lap of my study.EEKS!To think that I;ve got one more month to go and stuff everything into my poor little brain.
Getting start to get organized pretty soon.On the other hand, I'm trying to apply for a full time job in Melbourne with good pay and car for personal use. Then again, nothing will be too easy in life.I;m sure the private practice itself will be a busy one. Moreover, it is located in the rural area where the country people drive miles or kilometers just to visit a podiatrist.Well, as long as the patients don't bully me with any ridiculous demands, which I'll be very thankful liao.
I had a wonderful Korean food today!Love de KimChee!Somehow just reminded me of my past trip to Korea.Heehee. I;ll definitely go there again.Food tastes better than the Japanese one.
Yay* the HK bitch has left.....now the house is so peaceful and quiet.Perfect for studying and do whatever i like and be my own boss.Hurhur!
She left her shoes behind though.Nevertheless, i'll wait for a couple of weeks before those shoes are dropped into the donation bin.

Wednesday, October 15, 2003

SOmehow, that HK bitch must have realised why i kept my face towel and toothbrush away. She eventually hang her Loofah on hanger.I've tried to use it to...scrub...toilet before that. She is such a meanie.Yeah saying on myself as well. She literally keeps slamming the door which *ucking annoy me to the max. I've tempted to put some dead lizards or spiders in her lugguge.Unfortunately, haven;t seen any around.
WHEN THE FUCK is she leaving?!

I'm done with my business plan.Yippee.....between 3-5k words.almost drive me nuts.Now,. 2 k on mon and followed by research and statistics.3 more weeks to go before the arriving of the final exams.Sheesh* i need to start revision soon.
On the other hand, i';m also trying to write up my CV for a full time job application in Melbourne.
I still don't feel the nearness of graduating...........NO NO NO!

Sunday, October 12, 2003

THat HK bitch is leaving anytime soon! Yippee! Nevertheless, it's pay back time!
Caught a spider in the bathroom and that goes into her shampoo with some toilet water. Her body moisturiser is enhanced by handsoap, toilet soap and a few drops of her eye anti-winkle cream.YUM!What's more, a few scratches on her boots...plus the best combo is all the hair on the toilet floor are rolled into a huge ball and that will travel with her all to way to HK in her lugguage.I felt disgusting enough to take that whole clump of hair.
That bitch still continue to dirty the sink. Her toothbrush has been used kindly to scrub the toilet and towels to wipe the surfaces area.
how nice to get a clean toilet again!
WHEE!

Wednesday, October 08, 2003

Didn't feel like waking early in the morning. Was doing my business plan till wee hours.Supposed to meet Joe at his place at 9am was really a dread for me. By afternoon, i need to head back home and have lunch before setting off to a private hospital for foot surgery with orthopodiatric surgeon.
Indeed, i was truly inspired to become one too..able to do osteotomy, arthroplasty and giving LAs! WOW...it is really a long way to go....One may never know..I might be the first orthopod surgeon in Singapore!
AH HEM*
that would be a long term goal in my career.

Monday, October 06, 2003

Ok, hang in there..one more month to go in the uni.Gotta give my best shot in my final semester. My head is still spinning from the workload. Have tried not to pant soo much. Coffee powder is running low..Temperature is on the rise. Wish i had time to write my CV. Sheesh* In fact, I had a hectic Monday. Went to uni in the morning, came home, lunch, back to Uni for research meeting, back home, took car to repair spark plug, went to Action to get some Coke on great deal, back home, now..on internet...try to sort out my stuffs on business plan...while trying to find out how can i get a podiatry appointment for a former patient/friend of mine in a local government hospital....gosh* government settings ....geez! before u can attend to any of the service, one needs to have a pension card, medicare card, GP referral...high risk classified....
What the??Whatever...
Anyhow, i gotta concentrate doing my stuffs..there are soo much to catch up on my study!!!! FREAK FREAK FREAK....

*note to self* i still feel as an inadequate soon to be podiatrist. The last thing i hate to know is misdiagnosing a condition.ARRGHH!!

Sunday, October 05, 2003

ok, 1500 more words to go on my Business plan......EEKS*!!! I;m freaking out!

Wednesday, October 01, 2003

Making police reports in 2 days...some people out there are just trying to break in still! first they took the doorbell away..next day they came checking on the house...tomorrow? Sheesh* i;ll try not to think abt it for now.

Sunday, September 28, 2003

Dear Blog,

That psychopathic housemate starts to hum everytime when she sees me!! It's like she's trying to raise her humming voice which seems pretty scary. She uses her own rubbish bin now and put that in the toilet near the kitchen.
I told dad about it and I'll better watch my back from now onwards. EEKSSS!!!!

Saturday, September 27, 2003

What other updates can it be except for that bitch in the house. She purposely blasted aaron's radio in the living room when I was trying to on the tv and have my dinner.
Why is she doing that? And what is she trying to get out of me? Basically, she just lived up to her name of being a bitch that;s all.
When i was cooking, obviously i would open the kitchen windows so that the place will not get stuffy.Once she knew it, she would come down all the way and opened up all the living room windows and get back to her room. Safety and security are my major concerns since the windows are not grilled. Talking to such a senseless woman is just a waste of time.
Internet connection suxs big time!!

Wednesday, September 24, 2003

Attended a whole of day of senior first aid course.Pretty tiring..back and knees are aching still. However, I must say that I do learn a lot today as compared to the first aid i learnt at changi hospital 3 years ago. I;m currently taking this course at St JOhn;s ambulance centre and the cert will be valid for 3 years then.

I wanna make a compliant about australia internet network. It's sux. Whether my ISP connected at the 50666kps or 33600kps, i still get frequent disconnections. I've changed the phoneline or wires last year. And that doesn;t seemed to help at all.
Basically, the whole system is *ucked up. Hello, what dial up are we talking about there?? That seems ages ago.

Health system is basically crapped here. I watch the current affairs and 60 min documentary shows. There is bound to have at least something about Australia's health system. For instances like not enough ambulances to cater the emergencies, staffs working mad at ER department with 7 or 8 cases arriving at the same time, nurses asking for 20& more wages....
these constant health battles will never come to an end unless SOMEONE who would come up wth a clever plan to sort these things out. True enough, said is easier than done...... my empathy is with those health workers who are biting till the end.

Tuesday, September 23, 2003

I gotta work faster than the deadline which I've set for myself.Sheesh. This is freaking boring and it;s driving me to the bed instead....*snores* I'm glad that Ive got Cuiling online to give me a boost at least. And my virtualtourist pal, kenmerk for his "constant" funny writings. Wish i had the talent like him. Oh, that reminds of JSheng as well. He's just unlucky to have a crap bunch of friends around.heh, fortunately he wasn't being influenced by them.
Gosh* not gonna waste any more time here...will write more and gotta wake up early for my senior first aid course tomorrow! eeks1 that goes the whole day!!
c

Saturday, September 20, 2003

And now, that HK bitch just swop the retainer with full of cut up food onto the bigger sink (which I often use)....

She is the most disgusting person I've ever seen.

Well, glad that dad called up at the right time to hear my woos.

Friday, September 19, 2003

Life goes on except that HK *itch loves banging the doors every now and then. god knows why. well, if that made her happy, it just simply non of my business....can't wait for her to leave for good in Oct.Oh, and those stuffs that stuck at the sink.Gosh* how disgusting and she's still continuing to eat from her coloured paper plates to plain ones now.EEKS* psychopath is my house!!!!!

work...still pilling up..never ending....this week i just have to sit down on my butt to do my 2k assignment which is FOS*hit.Ok, i know i can do it..I know i can i think i can i know i can I think i can......
Went to Joe's house for our presentation rehearsal. It was good and we are pretty on the go for next fri presentation.TEEHEE!
Then again, i had so much junk food at his place.his mom, mona came to stay with Joe for a few weeks.
tomorrow is J's prenup drink for her upcoming wedding in 2 weeks'time.
Hmm what should i wear?
this is soo exciting...
back to assignment now! BOOBOOBOOBOO.....

Saturday, September 13, 2003

Saturday work fever. Went to Joe's place early in the morning to do our orthopaedic presentation plus summary printout. Indeed, group work is not an easy task especially when both parties need to come on to an agreement term. Well, joe has his good and bad points. Good is he's understand what he is doing..bad is doing his powerpoint slides. He was nice to make me some shark meat sandwiches.yummy*
It was a nice sunny but chilling afternoon. So, Joe decided to get a few light blubs at the hardware stores. So we actually took milly (the doggie) out for a walk as well. Hate milly when she poos...coz i gotta use one of those bright yellow poo bags to pick up her shit at the park.Ortho work is almost done and basically it's just the rehearsal of the presentation next week.
Diabetes assignment is coming to an end ......to think that diabetes is such a broad topic which 3k limit is definitely not enough. So perhaps i;ll put most of the infomation in the appendices.
After that, I gotta start my evidence based assignment..that is such a pain in the *ss.
Business management plan should be get going ASAP.no time to lose...i need more time to study for my final osce plus Ortho final paper in nov.
ARRGHHHHHHHHH***************

Wednesday, September 10, 2003

ok, will post this quick.
Had my physio today and this physio student was apparently a podiatrist for 16 years.I guess he just got sick looking at feet all the time so he's taking this course to understand about upper body pathology instead.*teehee* Gotta see again next week. Followed by research project meeting in arvo at Joe's place. Everything was pretty organised and thanks to Kath definitely for her being on the go.Keeping fingers crossed that everything will be done on the set dateline.

More about the Hk bitch. Has she forgotten her hormone tablets?
She commented that i shouldn;t wash the sink as it's not dirty at all.Err, well, to me it is.She further added that i shld washed the sink everytime after cleaning the dishes. what's her fucking problem?? I;m the one doing the cleaning not her.
She is the most laziest person I;ve ever met that she eats from a paper plate all the time.To save her from washing and cleaning as she claimed earlier on. Gosh* look like someone seems to have like a party all day throughout the year.

ok, need to catch a wink b4 starting my journey to assignment.Freaking me out!
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sunday, September 07, 2003

6 more weeks to go at the uni and that's it!I just couldn't wait and i wish that time could hurry up.After that, I'll be definitely looking forward for my new job or career i must say. Then again, there is so much work to be done prior the final exams.Pressing on my panic mode button constantly which will. at least make me more motivated to work harder.

It has been a bit of drama lately. While I was on my way back from Brisbane, the flight was diverted to Adelaide coz a passenger needed to seek for an emergency medical attention. Before that, after my g.f dropped me off at the airport, N met with a car accident and of course, her car was literally smashed. Thank goodness K and N are safe and sound without any major injuries. Few days later, a car came crashing onto big tree in front of my house.Being armed with medical skills, I went on to check on the victim and do whatever i can at my best till the ambulance arrived.Glad my business lecturer came to help as he was a first aid trainer. So i took down the victim's contact, check out his name and asked him if he was on any current medication. I wasn't in much of panic status except for my HK hsemate. She's so annoying.....just because she worked as a fitness instructor and has first aid course done, she was even in a more excitement status than i am. Probably that's just her character. I'm not trying to bitch about her but hope that she can stay calmer in such situation.

My upper back is screwed....not getting any better.Sheesh* Just wonder how effective the physio treatment is.....DUH* despite having me doing all the stretching exercises faithfully.

What a feeling! It was great to be back in perth again after having 6 days trip in brisbane. It was good fun and i can't wait to visit melbourne and sydney next year. Then again, my main priority now is to finish my study!Hurry up !!! i just can't wait for everything to end in the shortest time as possible.
Couldn't find a buyer for my car yet.Which means i gotta wait till i found one so that dad can upgrade my car.Whee!
Dad seems to be rather distracted or indecisive about his decision whether he should be quitting the insurance or not. He has been in life and general insurance for 10 odds years. On the contrary, dad would reassure me that everything would be alright in regardless whether he quits or not. He's more concern about having me being able to graduate at the end of year.
Workload appears to be on top of my head now.Not very sure about what to do on certain assignments.Had been bugging the previous years students to help me out.I hate the feeling of being lost".arrghh* i just want to get it done and over!

Deep at the bottom of my heart, i'm thankful to my parents who had been supporting me throughout all these years.Brought me up and provide education was the best thing I can ever ask for. One can be poor but not poor on the knowledge. Knowledge means wisdom. And obviously, something which one cannot buy but learn to "earn" it.

What a spinning day. First thing in the morning, i turned up at the wrong placement. Thanks to the AM who coordinate such an effective timetable (or rather should i say, too confusing to read). Next, the address given on the book where i'm supposed to be was the wrong one! God damned it! Firstly, went to Deanmore kindy and then got directed by a lady to the primary school situated across the kindy. When I got there, I was told by the lady that I came to the wrong place.Need to drive a couple of more streets down plus 2 more turnings>*FREAK*.
So managed to find the place without much hassel. The thing is..which one is it? There is one kindy and another pre-school.
This is absolutely absurb.
ANd obviously, I was late for an hour. Then again, I had a fair share of fun taking plaster cast on the kiddos! They just brighten up my day and drove away all the cranky mornings. While the pod students are given a chance to practise casting, the molded casts are supposed to be punched a hole at the heel and attached a tag of that child's name. The kindy came up an excellent idea to get the kids to present their molded foot for the coming Father's day.

Finally, I've booked my ticket to brisbane but it has gone up extra 40 bucks for the GOING TO trip.*hit. should have book it earlier on. Went to fetch J to reality estate to pay her rent plus signing some documents.Waited so long for the receptionist to write a receipt. Gosh* how efficient is that.
Went back home and had a cuppa tea. Arranged with V to see my car but was cancelled the last minute.2 hours later, went out again for my physio appointment. Was driving halfway, my phone rang.It was H! How nice of him to call and catch up with me. He's really a nice podiatrist friend of mine. More on the good news....he's offering me to work on Tue for him in his private practice!!!! Arrghhh* screams*
However, i told him that we shall have a good chat after I come back from brisbane then.
At the physio dept, had a new physio student assessing me. The amusing part is ..this student had been a podiatrist for 15 years and now decided to "upgrade" his skills to learn about Upper body.heh.
And after that, was going with J to american funk dance class..which is cool.learning how to move ya hips and legs. The down side is..too expensive. 16.50 per session.
Anyhow, back to work!
EEKS*
Busy monday for me. I've been trying to keep myself fit (hate to use the sentence "shed off extra kilos") by walking to uni today. Zap a bit of stuffs on Diabetes as my case study that must come with literature based. Haven't had any luck to find anything on that Scottish Tutor's assignment.--->eeks*
Read another article but has yet to be summarize and type it on an handout for all in the class.
And about business plan.*gosh* god knows how to get started.Need to e-mail the past graduates and asked for sample copies.
Need to present a video gait analysis as an orthopaedic case study and the time has been arranged with the patient in a few weeks'time.
Reseach, need more footprints by this friday. So that we can take down the measures on the footprints and write out the hypothesis and key those data in the SPSS software. Then again, may need to meet the statistician prior to that.
*gosh* i feel that I'm lost in the wheel of uni workload.
On the brighter side, i'm going to brisbane to clear my head a bit.

Recently I have been keeping in touch with this podiatrist from South California.I find that his e-mails are always so entertaining. What can i say? I'm trying to keep up with my pals from virtualtourist too.

Ahh this is not good.Didn't do enough work except for some readings. Played basketball in the morning which was good. The fact is that we lost to the opposing time in the last game and we managed to come back with a vegenace. On the lighter note, we managed to get into the final round! This is sooo exciting!!
Slept most of the time in the afternoon, updating my virtual tourist page and I'm flying off to brisbane next week!Coming back after next saturday with the next day, I gotta wake up real early for "city to surf'" An annual marathon event for fund raising for the kids in perth. So the podiatry tent will be set up at the finishing line while the fellow pods and I would provide emergency foot care to the athletes then.

Assignments! I need to get them started...the problem is ...finding relevant articles...*BAH*

I'm so packed with everyday's stuffs. Tonnes of assignements and research are waiting for me on the table. Had my clinical placement today and the podiatrist in charge was impressed by my debridement skills. Whee! Hopefully that would be a big score on my record sheet. Sometime i just wish that i got more time to read de articles and journals.NOt sure how am i beng able to squeeze in the time. There is always marketing to do, laundry in the basket, exercising program....and the list goes on.
Someone recalled my Diabetes BOOK> damned! Bust that fellow.I only had the book for only a week.

Recently, I was corresponding with a podiatrist from South California. He's really a remarkable person who actually put most of his time on setting up anti crime anti drugs campaigns. www.drfootsie.org
The bonous is, he was my tutor's cyber friend for a couple of years! Cool......

more whine...i need to start doing my "actual" work!
can someone give me a push??

Met C and her Mom last night. Went to Casino@Bursewood and followed by coffee session @ Oriels. I really enjoyed the mother and daughter company indeed. At least, I'll not feel so "left out" in perth. Back to uni today. Everyone looked so tired in the class.I bet most of them hasn't recovered from last sat's ball. I was a bit of "zombie" when I walked into the class today. Alan, my tutor for business unit , commented that " you're not a morning person aren't you?!"..."are you doing your moonwalking?" Bah*
Pa called. He was thinking of coming with Ma during my term break. Hmm..then again, I would prefer them to come on my graduation next year (i hope!).Hence, he can save the money for something else.
I'm gonna meet the JP tomorrow and get the documents to be signed.
Keeping fingers crossed...double crossed.Ouch*

Sunday, August 10, 2003

I've been really busy for the past one week.Uni workload is gradually buliding up on top of my head. Other of the days i'm having placement at the hospital and on the other hand, trying to make an appointment to meet the justice of peace(JP) for signing of my documents of Permanent residency application. Phew* And again, the JP has missed out a few more documents so i got to get back to her next Tue.
What's more, the research is conducted mid way through. Still got 15 more set of footprints to take and next, my partners and i would have to measure it and key in the data and come up with a analysis statement. bah*
C and her mom are here in Perth.heh, the thing is I've never seen C before and we had an enjoyable kopi session@Oriels on the night of their first visit to perth. What did we have..hmm..this large piece of Malteses Madness with cream at the side,an anzac cookie and a huge bowl of Shoe string fries. It was simply fantastic. It seemed like we knew each other for ages and trying to catch up as much as we could.C and her mom leaving on next mon so I wouldn't be able to see them off.
It's funny how we often complain that our holis doesn't coincide or we might never meet at all. :P
The pod ball was on last night. Had a whale of time. Danced with a couple of "ang moh" dudes. Guess they just wanna get close to me *eeks* It's a bit hard to shake my bon bon in my white silvery full length cheongsum.
Hmph*
Can't go on rattling anymore..work time!

Tuesday, August 05, 2003

My matchmaking business is going up.*wink* I was trying to intro CL (a lawyer g.f of mine) to JT via ICQ. It's irony to answer both sides of the questions on opposite party. Then again, I'm absolutely fine with that. On the down side is, CL is an agnoist while JT is a catholic. Perhaps, talking about accepting oneself and religion is a bit too early here. BUt. it's good to see the start of friendship..yay*
I'm still trying to get my PR thingy done...just had to keep fingers crossed that i don't screw up.I;m repeating myself again.paradnoid i guess.
Went for grocery in the morning and tried to refrain myself from buying too much.Neither am i a glutton.Sometimes u just wonder the food" may come handy in time plus, $ limtation factor.
On the contratry, received a mail from the taxation office.HOORAY** i got a sum of 4 digits rebate! I'm soOOOOOOo
happy!!!!!Just when thought i was going to be poor.....So grocery shouldn't be much of a problem next week!

In addition, I enjoy surfing Virtualtourist website and came across this webpage put up by the nick of Geisha Girl. She acutally also added a column on "Are you my boyfriend?"
This is so *ucking true. CC is causing a lot of disturbance" on my mind. I'm not attracted by him in any way. Ok, the gist of the story is...he talks too much about himself and i felt like his therapist in session. I've not had the intention to tell him yet but someday I will. According to the GG website, he belongs to the "Everything I say is Fascinating guy"
http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/tt/2f717/#TL
oh well, I reckon the thrill and excitment is over.Guess he prob looking around for other target.
What the?

Monday, August 04, 2003

Not really a fufilling weekend I must say. Played basketball on saturday as usual and this time round, we beat the other team (Claremont) 15-10. Yeah, it is quite a tough game indeed. Received 2 e-mails which kinda surprised me. One is a podiatrist from South Carolina. He claimed that he had stumbled my name on the net and wanted to share of what he do with his profession. In fact, he had set up a non profitable organization against youth crimes and drugs. So he did was to create foot cartoon characters to educate the youths and so on.

website: www.footsie.org

I guess everyone has a dream to pursue in one's life. And this is his..not only being a podiatrist. And of course, I've ever hope that I'll be able to provide footcare treatment to the poverish places like vietnam. In other words, I have to work a lot harder in order to achieve my dream.Or even providing shoes to the kids of the poor...sounds not a bad idea after all.
The other e-mail came from my friend's husband. He wanted to know what is the name of the resturant that I've mentioned to my friend before. He just wanted to give his wife a nice surprise b'day dinner.orrr! heart melts*
Ms Zena is coming! Whee! This is so exciting as my first time meeting her. At least, something to look forward to next week.

Friday, August 01, 2003

This semester may seems to be the last but it's a lot hectic as compared to the whole 3 years of studying. 6 assignments waiting for me to be done in 3months time. 2 major papers at the end of semester that practically sum up the whole of 3yrs of studying. Can i do it in just 3 months time? *ponder*
I just can't give up easily.....since I';ve come so far ahead.
Dad has been calling me more often.Perhaps he just feel the emptiness of the house especially when my brother went into army since last week. So, i think dad was trying to tell me over the phone that "i should start finding a boyfriend once i graduate". WoWO. Can't believe it my dad is more worried than I am.
HURHUR!
Mom, as usual, is always on the constant worry for my bro's adaptation in army life.
Sent my car for servicing today.Nothing spectacular. Baked some honeycomb choc muffins.
YUM*

Wish that my blog has a tag board.....bummer*
No placements this week.wonderful..which means i can catch up with my stuffs (PR thingy again), getting my work organised, need to start to think abt my case study.Wanted to do some T-Bo workout this evening but the class apparently starts only next week.
I need to work fast! *sign* I;m not gifted unlike others. I got a couple of classmates who seldom attend the class and yet they still could move on.
Plus, there has been lotsa controversial issues g0ing on in the school of podiatry. The oldest podiatry school in London has closed and so does another one in california. It feels as though podiatry service is not being recognised anymore and thus gradually fading away.
Good on the rest of other health professionals. They will probably end up having more patients workload, having inadequate patient education on lower limbs, longer appointment times, indirectly affect pt's well being+psychosocial aspect factors. Those with foot ulcers would most probably end up with amputations if only something can be done earlier (eg, prevention?). "Curse" on those who agreed on abolishing the course.

People are not gonna walk happily in near future.

I;ll DEFINTELY write more tomorrow.....suffering from some mental block
First day of uni.Pretty hectic.Got all de unit outlines and freaking loads of assignments coming up. I;ll have 2 major exams by the end of year. keeping fingers crossed on that first* What a long day. Started off at 9am this morning. Lunch break was having McDonald's with Joe and Paul. And since we got like another 2 hours to spare. Joe thought it might be a good idea to go to his place and catch this VCD on howard the duck. Back to uni for a c0uple of classes.Hanged around the reception plus catching up with the clerks, T and B. B got married this June and showed me her lovely wedding pics. I gave B a set of matching Pearls jewellery as her wedding gift. Thanks to mom's idea.
Oh, i didn't realised that my pic taken with another podiatrist in Changi hospital appeared on Australian Podiatry Association monthly update journals. The article is simply about what's going with the graduate working overseas bah bah and what kind of work.,,bah bah.
So that was real cool.
Evening clinic was alright. I think I just had to learn to work with that "hyperthryodism looked- alike" podiatrist.
yeah, especially his eyes, almost bulging out of the ocular area.HOwever, i was quite pleased that i did well on my analyzes today on this 13 year old girl with limb length descrepancy. When i was about to commence my treatment, i found out that she has shoes which were like almost 2 sizes larger! Probably the muscles on the leg has to work a lot harder to support the footwear instead! tsk tsk* something which the tutor didn't realise till i pointed out to him.So send her back, and remake another appointment for orthotics plus advising that she needs real fitted shoes.
My bruise on my left knee is getting larger than ever.
Spoke to de hyperthryoid dr and he may performing acupuncture on me.

Saturday, July 26, 2003

Had a hangover this morning.Drank the whole bottle of white semillion myself because I'm done with my exam paper.Yay*
Did some shopping this afternoon and went on to play basketball. Now my medial aspect of left knee is bruising so badly. Can;t be help by playing with some big fatty chicks.
Oh well, gotta work tomorrow to cover for the coming expenses. Brother went to national service and now left my parents alone in singapore.
Heard from Mom that my cousin's grandma passed away recently.I;m quite upset about the news :( Every year i;ll follow my cousins to Muar in malaysia for the chinese new year. This new year was no exception. She showed me her edmatous ankles and wondered if i can do anything about it. She showed me her antidiuretic and asprin tablets.Plus, she's constantly found it hard to breathe when lying flat. Obviously the worst scenerio i can think of her having pulmonary edema.i did not expect her to leave so quick.
So next year i guess it would be a different sort of atmosphere for the new year.

Revison continues...Why must people be bad? Why can't they be good? Sometimes i wish i've had this enormous power to help change de "bad" genes into good. Bad people always upset me.... Would they please stay away from me too?

In addition, my hsemate, D cooked me a nice pasta dinner.Very thoughtful indeed.Certainly brightens up my day :)
J kept asking me to rent his house coz by the end of yr, he's moving with his wife to New Zeland. Yeah, that's where his family planning starts too. Well, my plan is to work here for a year before going over to eastern state for another year? perhaps...
God knows plans might change if there's a signigicant other pop out along the way.

Tuesday, July 22, 2003

My placement starts today at a local hospital, which is like only 5 mins drive from my house. Frankly speaking, I enjoy what i'm doing as a profession. The only ppl who can make me happy are my patients. For instance, this 85 year old lady was jumping with joy to see her thickened hard nails being tidy and indeed, "it makes me feel like a brand new person" as stated by her. Seeing patients getting their required treatments with positive outcomes makes me feel great. This simply takes off my mind for a moment that I was living in a nutshell.
On the contrary, dad is worried that i'm too lonely living in Down Under. Most girls around my age are either committed in a relationship with their significant other or even married. I've ever hoped that I would love to marry to someone I adored and have kids before the age of 30. well, doesn't seemed it's gonna come true. Most of my g.fs have had placed the bet on me for being the 1st to marry...what can i say? If I lose the bet, the treat of a luxurious spa plus staying in a high class hotel with premium services would be on me.
I'm beginning to lose the faith in men........phobia, fears, daunted pasts............

Monday, July 21, 2003

Had a busy monday.Went to Post to collect my medical examinatio mail and sent a stack to postcards to VN in melbourne. Did my grocery shopping.*sign* havenn't got much chance to do some cardiovascular workout. Putting myself into some detox diet now..*as if i know a lot* well, just to sound a little better. Gotta be my best before the ball comes next month! then again, what's the point going without a date. I have been dateless for ages........ Went to uni in the afternoon to meet de lecturer abt the upcoming exam this fri.* keeping fingers crossed*

Just another entry for today. Mr CC has been calling me almost everyday when i was in adelaide. Apparently, he had an "unhappy" past on failed relationship and some female species played on him before. So,I felt being manipulated. Yes,it is understandable that he can get quite bored working in rural area on weekdays and probably, that's why he called for chats most of the time. It's fine by me in that manner. However, if someone wants to be my friend, then he or she ought to show some sincerity at least. There shld be a basic level of respect and understanding in between friends. I felt that he was not interested in whatever i say and indeed, there isn;t any chance for me to express my thoughts and let alone talking about myself. Frankly speaking, most of the conversations is about him him him and me asking questions abt him. On the contrary, I'm being too nice.........which is the weakest point of myself and i simply hate it. kindness doesn't pay at all.
I may be bored here in down under.Guess i have learnt to accustom my boredom. I have done lotsa things which I;ve enjoyed and yet there are many friends out there who doesn't know a single thing abt it. It's not that i felt ashamed of what I've done or perhaps certain friends may find it hard to believe.Tell me who would believe that I enjoy visiting my elderly folks next door and have a cuppa with them, who would actually believe i volunterred as a zookeeper before...........etc.

Back from a 6 days trip in Adelaide.Fantastic brillant scenic place i must say. Was with 2 other mates (naomi and Kent) from brissy. We walked a lot around the city areas for the first 2 days like visiting the museums, art gallery, uni of adelaide, convention centre and so on. Since we are staying at YHA, we can actually make our dinner at the common kitchen.Pasta was de menu on that night. For the next few days was visiting the winery at Barossa valley and Little German village called hahndorf. Most of the travellers on this trip are from singapore. Then again, my mates and I enjoyed sticking with this Canadian couple. Apparently, this lovely couple had to sit for about 21 hrs of flight before touching down in australia. We chatted a lot about each other's cultures and their experiences in the places which they've visited. The following day we headed down to kangeroo island- 7 times as big as singapore.Pretty full on trip which started from 6.30am till 10yish at night. Need to take 2 hrs of drive to harbour plus 45mins of ferry transport. Too many things to see on that island.Excellent place for retirement too :P
All of us did our shopping at the bargain factory outlet stores. Visited the Genelg beach via trams. And also took a cruise to see dolphin watching.how nice can that be! Naomi , kent and myself became alcoholics for the past few days of the trips. Can't believe we went to woolies liqour shop for 4 days in a row to "drown" ourselves at night. The fact is that there's nothing much to do at night either. In total, we had like 2 bottles of red, one champagne, 4 bottles vodka cruiser, one can of UDL, 2 bottles of cooper beers....*burp*

Saturday, July 12, 2003

W finally left my house today. W was kinda into an "unstable" mood. We went to Lama Bar yesterday night for a drink. Supposedly to meet her b.f , J there too. Initally, J called W said give him a call when the girls were there. To cut long story short, I was told by W that J cannot make it as he was really tired. Then again, J confessed to W that he can't wait to see her even though he was tired in the earlier phone conversation. What can i say? Obviously, W was really mad..and drank 4 glasses of red wine within 3 hours. Sure enough, she puked along the way a couple of times on our way home.
I didn't tell her that she vomitted on my car door.yes, i just have to do all the cleaning up after that.
In my mind was thinking, why is she making life so difficult for herself? she should jolly know well enough that she's dating a big business man.
What i wasn't understand is that I've told W to make a hotel reservation last week so that she can get to stay a night before flying off the next day.I can;t accomodate her till she leaves coz I'm flying off to adelaide on the same departure day as her. Why can't she be more proactive? just booked it....and her b.f apparently is keen on staying at Hyatt with her. Ironically, he finds it too expensive just to stay a night. see the contradiction. So W gotta make find a place for her lodging tonight no matter wot. Tried most of the hotels in the city but they are fully booked.
Mentally tortous i must say. Putting on extra stress for nothing if she could heed my advice earlier on.
I can't say much to her so i just do what i can and that's it.

4 mins to go before my internet connection goes dead.
Had a crappy day at the clinic. a pt's daughter wanna see my feet whether have i actually maintained it or not. Then she started asking like "douch you apply nail polish"...from this moment, i was really pushing myself trying to be as nice as possible....I could have blown my top away in fact.
Sent my g.f to a health club before that...so that gave me some space to do things i wanted.
Guys have warned me about being overly independence......guess maybe i've not learnt my lesson well enough...
because of this, KC was chased off.....don't who's next..
Talking about BGR dampens my feelings....maybe my feelings for a guy doesn't exist anymore..
I;m afraid i can;t learn to love a person...even though he may be standing right in front of me.
....................
To further contradict myself, what is life without love?

Wednesday, July 09, 2003

My g.f, W is in town recently and she stayed at my place during her stay then.My housemate is kind enough to offer his room to her free of charge. Thanks to A for being such a nice dude. W and myself went to Pinnacles today and obviously it was a real eye opening coz I;ve never been there before. The journey is a little long but it's fine with me. And after that, we caught Charlie Angel's movie where W's b.f supposed to come along. Yet, he cannot make it.Hence, W, who is trying to be understanding as well as trying to not to get pissed off with it. well, for all i can say is, i;ll be there for her if she needs me. I've done my part as a really good friend.Offer free stay, taking her out, make sure she knows how to get ard to find her b.f., done her washing......hope she appreciates that.
Well, as we have been friends for so many years, i guess there shld be still a little respect between both parties...maybe I;ve been too well-mannered with them.I still do ask for permission if i need something from her. That's the point. one should not make any assumptions.what i can say.......i just need a good rest now...plus, need some time alone too.
I called CC for the first time....I never like to call guys or shld i say, I dun usually make phone call to a guy whom i dunno at all.Anyhow, he seems like a good chap to chat along.Oh more about CC, a dentist from melb.
it would be cool if i can go to melb in august :)
Called L earlier too! glad he is doing great in melb.... :)
More later

Met my best g.f, E, and stayed with her at Sheration, not Hilton as previously mentioned. It was really a good catch up for both of us.Apparently, losta changes have been happening around with the other g.f as well, W. E is attached with this guy months ago who is relatively well off.Plus he had his own business to take care off. In fact, all of us got to know him thru' W. W and himself are from the same uni in brissy. well, I need to stress at this point is these are just my thoughts on my diary. No offences.
Right, so basically, E and himself hit off in a month's time after knowing each other. WHat can i say? I'm not that kind of person who likes to be on fast track. And, relationships need time to nurture and committment. It's not simply how you ask a person whether "can i be your g.f or b.f or not".
They are a lot of time people don't think about things in life or prioritise things in order......that's why in the end they brought sorrows and unhappiness to themselves unnecessarily.yes, sometime the principle of "just do it" doesn't apply in every part of the scenerios.Certain things are ought to have a second thought indeed.

W, one of my best g.fs as well, got hooked up with a guy whom she knew it through some personal pages...in fact, it wld be nice to meet her up soon which is next week! Oh her dude is in perth too.

everyone is attached.....to contradict myself...am i being really unlucky in love?

Friday, June 27, 2003

Received an early SMS from my g.f.She asked me whether would I like to stay in Hilton when she comes to Perth tmorrow.Of course, I agreed immediately. The weather has been really bad..Stormy, gloomy weather in fact.Plus, the news broadcast said that there may be a hail occuring in the later part of the day. Gosh, i felt that my windows are going to tear apart with the winds howling so strongly.
I told Y (my housemate) about it because she's planning to go sightseeing with her pals.I guess it would rather vital to check the weather before going..especially during winter.

Went to Carousel for my shopping today. This fashion store "valleygirl" is having some mega sale.So why not grab hold of oppoturnity right? bought a top and pants (non winkled for only 20 bucks!Heh. Came back rigth away after that. Had my lunch and doing my update webpage on virtual tourist.

Just received my tax filling assessment...sign* i just hate to do all this ...oh well....
Plan for tomorrow: grocery in the morning, basketball in the afternoon, meet my friend and then dinner probably at some vietnamese resturants :)

Thursday, June 26, 2003

Slept at 3 am yesterday. It's funny which i don't even stay up till this late for studying.HAHA.well, thanks to VN who got me to hook back to my VT website.HEE.BUt i really enjoy what I've done on my updates anyway.
WOke up by my mobile phone...the fact is that i set the alarm at 10am as I'm supposed to go for a hair revamp at 11am appointment.
It was none other than my housemate A.He was due to leave for SG at 9am.However, he called me at 8am and told me he had forgotten to get his keys! DUH* that sets me on a panic mode right away.Thank goodness the airport isn;t too far from my place. So, getting ready in less than 15 mins time, got to the airport at 8.30am.
Came back, had uncle toby's oats with honey flavoured for breakfast...my first time trying it.Not
too bad i must say.
Oh back to my hair revamp, it certainly looks better now.My hair is better controlled and had a hair treatment....sweeet....she gave a head message that was great! I would definitely go back there again....I;m so happy that my hair is less fizzy than before and more manageable.Sheesh* I sound as if I;m in an advert.
After that, met B for lunch.I was so into my virtual tourist website that I pestered him to bring out his digital camera so that we can go fremantle to take a couple of sceneries.HURHUR!
B is really a nice guy...and he';s flying off to meet his g.f tomorrow in Sydney.
I suppose that leaves me very much alone in perth. Most of my pals have gone back home.
that's alright anyway......I;m looking forward for my darlings to come over!

Exams are done. Went down to a pub straight after that with my fellow classmates. Was there from 3pm till 9pm. feeling a bit groggy so i got J's wife to send me home after pizza dinner.
J's wife, k, is a Dr frm newcastle.I reckon K is lucky to have J coz he knows how to fix everything..from cars to washing machine, plus, dog carer. The following day, I gave P and J a ride back to the pub to get their cars.Apparently they were too drunk to drive yesterday.
Went back home, had a good shower, make a cuppa tea, and got online.
Talking to Z for a while. IN fact, i've not met Z in person. She is studying med in uk while I'm here in perth. Our holidays never collaborate well. *sign* i was excited for a while when she asked me about going on a europe trip.Maybe that will happen....keep fingers crossed.
This one month holiday is gonna be soo packed for me.
E coming over this saturday and W coming on the 2nd week of july for 9 days. After that i';ll be heading to adelaide for another 6 days with N.
Oh not forgetting about working and having additional placements.
Chit chatting with KH online now. He's working in KL while on the other hand, trying my best to give him the best tips in dating girls...hahaha..me sound so like a lOve guru..and yet, i;m single.BOOBOO*

yippee yay yay*....I;m down with my main exam papers..left the OSCE (practical) part on mon. kinda scary coz 20 questions to be done on 5 mins each. I've not press on my panic button yet...maybe i;ll do that on Sunday! Haha

Went to HAN's for late lunch with A and B....and now i do feel rather sluggish.what's more Baskin Robbins after that....That's double scoope of X-mint and Choco with almond toast.
*burp*
douch think can keep my eyes opened for now...still feeling tired from studying......

Guess what, I;m totally digusted by my housemates who never help to take the rubbish out..sure they know how to cook and mess up the place. I;ve done my part to vaccum the whole house, change the vaccum bag and clean up the table..the rest is up to them..
Oh don;t know which *ucking bastard boil the soup till it over spills the stove.
YES i was the one who clean it up.

.........enough............

weather has been really nice and warm....what a waste to stay at home and study.

NO, i can do it......lemme just finish these exams!

Can't wait till next mon, one my of classmates, K proposed to go for a drinky pooh session.....*ahhh, smell of alcohol.

Finally I'm done with my PAIN exam...gosh, that exam really makes me feel sick at my stomach. Not an easy topic to understand, say alone to memorise it.
I think I'm procrastinating of studying of my thurday's paper.Yes, it's a double bonous..which means I've got 2 papers on thurday and followed by surgery paper on Fri.
Sometimes, I wonder why am i doing this to myself??? I could have got a nursing degree in a year's time....and yet I've chose pod for 3 years. Well, I'm 2/3 on the way now..so get over it man!
I need to keep telling myself that to stay focus and it will be over soon...

I've received a lovely postcard with neoprints of my darling friends, E and V from singapore. We have been good mates ever since secondary school. Not only that, we live in the same area and always enjoy each other's company...
*sign* miss them heaps......whenever i go back for my holi, they are the first to take me out...... Saw E online yesterday..she was freaking stress on her management exam coming up while working as a flight stewardess as well. V is always soooo hardworking on her job.Always stay up late in de office and she definitely deserve a credit from her boss man.

Ok ok...need to buck up!*

Tis good is friday.
Went for grocery shopping in the morning...apparently most of the shops are having stock take sale now. it seems i can't resist the tempation of getting a pair of beige colour condroy pants.Even though I;ve alreadi owned a pair sthg like that. But! the cutting is different now.
On the other hand thinking that i've just paid my adelaide ticket and still got accomodation and spending fees to settle. That's why that makes me think twice whether is it a need or a want?
Plus, my car registration is here which costs like almost 200 bucks.*sign*

A and J are moving out end of the month.both of them feel that staying at 90/wk's rent is too expensive.Seriously, as far as i know, this is pretty much of the standard rate. Go around asking.....Especially A, hate the way she said the people who stay in this house are the rich ones who can afford to pay. Then again, she's only been in perth for the past 5 months. I can't be bother to argue with her.

Back to mug!
Tried to find a nice skin for my blog but none of the variaties caught my eye.
Tomorrow is friday! Gosh* 3 more days to the first exam paper..i wld consider the PAIN paper is a real pain ++++..no drugs cld ever cure me on that.
Study load is slightly lesser than last semester but i;m trying not to take that for granted...GOsh* lemme get through this!

On the positive side, I;m going to adelaide for a week!!!! yippeeeee.....but I;ve to work a bit more to cover what I;ve "lost" then. almost 1 am...am i been really feeling tired?? Or not..
Burning some lavender oil to keep myself in a more soothing and relaxing mode.

E and her friend Lp are here on holi.Met them for coffee yesterday.....too bad they came on my study week..if not we can have more fun together!

I was down with a sore throat last fri and it actually got worst on tue.I;ve tried everything to prevent it frm deteriorating..frm taking panadol, temperature, nasal decongestant, anti histamine....
The diagnosis is basically post nasal drip..as far as i know myself better than others..plus thick yellow mucous..
SO, went to uni clinic, seen a dr and he refused to gimme anything other than advising me that it;s just a viral infection..despite with all the things I've explained to him?? I was feeling terrible enough so I request for a short course of antibiotics.
HE wasn;t happy with me at all by saying that "well i can give u the antibiotics which i douch think it will make u feel any better!".

Guess what, I really do feel better after the 3rd day on AB.sore throat has gone.......and no more thick phelgm.

Suppose to make a couple more entries earlier on.Didn;t have the time.....exams are up in 2 weeks' time..panic button.
I;m always feel so daunting about my exams all the time...doubting my capabilities of understanding the questions, afraid from suffering memory block, and the list goes on.
Moreoever, one of my nursing pal is coming to perth on my study week.Guess i can;t accompany with her much at all.
Study is still the main priority.
I was working in a local hospital last sunday.
Taking care of 2 old men and ladies.
thank godness one of them never turn violent on me..apparently from the night nurses report stated he was rather agressive and refusing his meds on her shift.
R, who was also under my care, is an absolutely lovely lady. She read about this article about prevention of winkles. She told that i shld use vegetable oil and cream.haha......and then she looked at me again..observing my face...and then she commented:" you got no winkles at all." Well, i bet with her failing vison and old age, she probably wldn't be notice my winkles at my eyes.
so much for now..
back to mug!

Had my placement at a private practice today.Everything's fine.Nice little cosy clinic which may be my ideal sort of setting which i;ll probably be looking for about 5-10 years down the track.
Guess what, I was able to complete a small Mcdonald's meal while driving on my way to the clinic. Hehe....call it a silly accomplishment.
I was confused whether shld i get that retro stripe long sleeved shirt since it;s on sale. The price wasn't that cheap either....like 37 bucks? I just don't want to spend money unecessarily and then again, i might need those kind of shirts when i get to work in hospital or clinics. So, I've to make a trip down to city to get it then. I'm not fickle minded..but i never like to buy things spontaneously.Giving me all the time i want to think about it wld me feel better off whether my decision is to buy or not.
Someone rang my mobile for my car enquiry today! yay* he;s gonna come and take a look at the car...*keeping my fingers crossed * yes yes yes.
Just received a mail frm E, a long time nursing pal of mine working in neuro HD. She's coming to perth...on my study week? Damned*
never mind, i guess with proper time management , everything would be a OK.
Ah hem* I' must admit i;m quite an organised person, and hates lagging!
So most of time if i feel that something must be done stat, it must be stat stat stat!
Too much yakking here......

Hate those 2 mouth ulcers..gives me heaps of pain everytime i eat, talk or whenever i move them.....not sure when they will go away.Bought a mouth paste, such a small tube which costs me 13bucks...tsk tsk* i can go and catch a movie with change in return.
Had the last lesson in pain,....which is really a pain in my ass....Even though it was a relief to hear that no one would fail or ever fail that unit, the process of studyign it makes me sick.Oh well, I;ll get over it..no worries mate! i shld make my exam process an enjoyable one! Probably i;m saying this to make myself feel better.

Gonna do my grocery tomorrow...probably i'll rest a little more today.Feel a bit tired and down with sore throat too.
More tomorrow.

The list on my icq is pathetic...everyone must be out partying on saturday night...Groovy*
I worked this morning in a geriatric setting..those oldies are so lovely. It's amazed them to be in such a happy mood coz a few of them had thrown tantrums (refusing medications) yesterday afternoon (report from the previous night staffs).
Oh well, thank goodness anyway.
Slept for a while this afternoon. someone called to on enquring my car...damned* it;s so hard to sell off my Ford.*sign* not losing hope yet. Yeah, dad preferred me to get a Japanese brand car like Nissian or Toyota.

J was a little strange today....I also find her weird....she doesn't use tap water to boil water. She used her filtered water then bring it to boil. Perhaps it;s just her preference that she finds it better in terms of taste with boiled filtered water.

I've planned my exam timetable..hopefully it will work as the plan goes.
HAHA! *stress+++++++

What can i say for today? Had great evaluation comments for my last placement at the local hospital. It goes something like " has high degree of empathy, handles patients well, asks questions appropriately." Think I've done a good job on that. Hope my up coming exams are going on smoothly..Keeping my fingers crossed at all times. In fact, I've booked a date in july to practise my nail surgery technique on a teenage girl. And I'll be looking forward to that.

Baked some orange and poppy seeds muffins yesterday.BRought some to my friends and workplace. And most of them love it! Someday, when i got extra money, I;ll set up my very own authentic bakery store.hurhur..who cares abt earning quick and easy money via web hosting or e-bays.
I rather do something which i enjoy.......that makes life a little easier isn't it? No?
Gosh, neeeeed to catch up on sleep now..

Wednesday, May 28, 2003

Woke up early to attend my placement at a local hospital today. Had heaps of pts this morning who came in with diabetic ulcers on their foot. I reckon i can never get bored with ulcers...simply because they are soo different in their locations, shapes, sizes, depth, colour, consistency plus smell..Phew* :P With a good senior podiatrist around, that certainly boosts up my level of learning. I supposed Mr F is in his late 50s.He may looked strict and stern but as long as one works towards his expectation plus the speed, that shld be fine. I always get more pts to see than my fellow classmate...maybe I got de speed ..Hahaha.
Mr F does has a great sense of humour. At times, he may do a little jiggle in the clinic. That makes it more funny with his volumptous figure. He was nice enough to make me coffee......twice today while i was writing my notes..orrrr!!!
Tomorrow will be my last placement there and i hope to get learn as much out of it as possible.

BTW, I;m trying to delete my doubled copy on my blog..does anyone has a clue how to go about it??

More to come tomorrow.

I'm having a day off from uni today which was good. Got an e-mail recently from an old friend of mine.He used to study here in perth too and now he's going to get married next march! It seems that wedding bells are ringing at my ears....constantly.First, my research group mate is getting married this september.Another classmate of mine getting engaged and she's wearing this huge dazzling diamond ring on her left 4th finger. Gosh* what about me??
I'll be forever waiting for my prince charming to appear....somewhere, somehow, sometime. Then again, my parents never worried about the issue of me not being able to find a boyfriend.I guess maybe it's because I;m still studying and they'll probably be worried when I graduate.

Talking about graduate.......I can't wait for it to happen.I've yearn enough to go back to working life. I've been thinking a lot that i may want to finish up my nursing degree (which only takes about 8months to complete).Yes, even though i'm not doing any more nursing and only on a part-time basis, I can't stand looking at myself with a diploma level.....or should i say, like an incomplete eduation.
So much of rattle here....time to watch my favourite series of Law & Order.
Catch up later!

Monday, May 26, 2003

Well, my FOD (another diary website) has been playing tricks on me on and off...and I'm getting rather annoyed with that. I think it wld be a nice idea to try out my daily tok tok on this blog.

It has been a good day for me.....i wouldn;t labelled today as MOnday Blue at all. Learn a lot of stuffs today in fact.....one was doing a below knee casting and ankle cast using fibreglass material. Had an orthopodiatric surgeon to demo his techniques. So after that, all of us get to practice on each other.I;m glad he said mine was done really well. Whee! Had evening clinics later that day too....i usually drag or detest this one.Basically i never like the tutor itself but certainly, i've learnt a lot from him about casting techniques. No doubt i must say that he's good in his stuff.
I think i'm not getting adequate rest yesyerday.I don't understand why J(aka my hsemate) has to slam the door when using the toilet.Doesn't she know that my room is closed to the toilet and it's *ucking dead quiet at night.Let me be frank here..i can hear every single pee and don;t even mention about turning on the tap. Anyhow, I;ve told her to use the doorknob if possible.. gosh* am i being too bossy here?
Who cares anyway...
