Little Ah Pui (fat one)

One of my regular clients brought her grandson along for her usual followup. This cutie boy sure melt every ladie's heart. He was able to sing a song from a drama serial with full of expression on his face. While his nana was trying to fix up her shoes, this boy can certainly be a handful and 'disturbing'.

So I got him to sit on my lap while I was writing my casenotes.

Wah - __ -!

Didn't know he was weighing about nearly 20kg for a 3year old kid.

My thighs almost went into spasm lor.....

Roll me over the edge please

Something is happening this week at the workplace. I shall not be too specific , just in case, the whole world knows about this blog. hurhur. I would rather remain discreet and secretive especially touching on such sensitive 'issue'.

2 weeks before the 'happening', we were told to change forms, add new forms, change form formats, change of certain terms/policy, stamp cannot be used on the first page of form and can only do so at the end of the page after notes writing.
Get the pic?

Whatever the 'happening' was, I seriously find the place just being so disorganised. My question is 'why bother to make changes only at the very last hour?' I've even received text msgs about changes to take note ..blah blah blah. The emails on the 'happening' issues have been an endless pain to even read it.

Anyway, this is just part of my rambling today.

Mr Church never fail to bring a pamplet about his church's ongoing activities whenever he comes visit me. He sorta 'reprimanded' me saying that why I am not going to his church and went on emphasizing it's a great place to meet young people (like me , of course).

It's a calling huh......

I rang up to the travel agent and checkout Bali's trip at the end of June. SQ flights are all fully booked!? Knn..pissed!

Always

There are a couple of friends of mine whom that I've always initiate to meet up , never seem to happen.

I've boiled down to a list of possibilities such as:

- too busy to spend their precious time with you instead

- your friendship are not worth or unimportant

- Work comes first, family in second, dog/pets in third, close friends in 4th, You +miscellaneous categories in 5th

- Various appointments in their lives which have been booked far in advance. Perhaps, the Q number will be far off than the waiting time to see a Dr at the clinic.

Well, this is Singapore lar. What do I really expect?

Living in the old routine

For the past years which I've stayed in Australia, I've never felt uneasy in terms of going shopping or watching movie on the weekend by myself. Once I've returned to my motherland, till now at least, I do miss the quality-time-to-be-spent-on myself only very much. There seems to be so much going on at home. On the weekends it could be either going out with friends for meals, running errands, family gatherings, paperwork to be cleared,...etc.

It didn't take me too long to initiate that from now with the Sunday mornings, it shall be soley devoted for myself. Sounds pathetic? Well, I'm not surprised for some individuals ( whom I assumed ) who are lack of independent spirit type.

Here's the plan on how my typical Sunday routine is like:

- Long distance running/cycling starts as early as 7am

- Breakfast at home

- Going to Parkway after a nice long bath. (I love doing supermarketing at Cold Storage, Japanese/Korean stores too!)

- Cook lunch : usually I'll make salads or pasta
(sounds very domestic indeed)

The rest of the day follow by newspaper reading, watching CSI on AXN channel, paperwork and thinking about what do I really wanna do with my life (kiddin' ;p)

Small bitc* about work

We got a new fellow who joined us on board few months ago. He/She doesn't appear to function really well on the job. I wonder why the graduates from that particular uni doesn't seemed to produce competent practitioners. I'm not saying that Im tip-top clinician. The last thing which I don't wanna do is to clear up someone's mess. Ptooi lor!

Ortho

I got a gf who works at Orthopaedic department at a local hospital. She was explaining to this chinese speaking old lady that her big thumb has got a problem with its range of motion.

Instead of using the proper word 'da mu zhi' in Mandarin, she called it the 'da1 shou2 zhi3'.

Sure the auntie thought that my friend was referring to her whole hand is in big trouble.

Dental exhibition

Prior going to the Suntec City, DDU and myself met at Dr Oz's new clinic ,which I will assume that it would cater to most of the 'atas' (rich) people living around the area.
After I'm done with the consultation, we proceed to a dental exhibition at Suntec convention centre. Since we had pre-registered ourselves , we were able to collect our exhibit tags without much hesistation. Quite an eye opener for me since this is my very first time attending a dental exhibition. No doubt that I've realised certain pod instruments that I used are quite similar to the dental ones.

And I did a foc (no charge) breath test and he said I was 'kissable without any smelly breath noted'. Hurhur.

We saw this very cool recycle showbag called 'made in Germany' and sadly, we couldn't get any.

Nonetheless, it is still worth to going to such exhibition. Anyone has dry mouth? You can have the Biotene oral moisturiser. hurhur! I didn't know that baby also need to brush once they start to have teeth.

Check out the freebies. wheeee!:

Mom has been wanting a toothbrush holder.

So I got her a 'purple' tooth for 5 dollah at the dental stall. So nice lar!

Hair loss

I've noticed that a lot of friends who have hit the 30 margin seem to develop either receding hairline for the guys and balding for the ladies.

Scary thought if someday I were to see that happened on my scalp ; (

Putu

I can't wait to get rid of those Putu-lookalike pimple on my damn forehead. I'm suppose to go with DDU to the dental exhibition this coming Saturday. So un-chio (not pretty/unglamourous) to walk around like this.

For those who doesn't know what a Putu is : it is a red powdery-based dot used by the Indians on their foreheads for a religious purpose ( I guess )

I tried.....

not to burst out into (thunderous) laughter when this old grandma client told me she hasn't got any questions for me except the fact that Wo heng piao liang ( she commented I was gorgeous looking)
OooOh la la!
Poor grannie, who has like multiple medical appointment cards , got confused on what they were for.
