What's in my fridge?

I'm still trying very hard to finish that bowl of grapes. It has been moved to the freezer section for now. So much being also a full time housemaid myself. I cooked very day -from pasta carbonara to your favourite chinese stir-frys. I've yet to learn to make Sushi and that's something I would love to learn about it.

Talking about learning, this is what another colleague told me before. She can't relate very well to those young tai tais. The fact that my colleague is a hardworking , career-minded and independant lady where she finds it tough to chat with up with boss's wifey, B. B comes into the clinic as and when she wants but one very bad habit is that she tends to calculate the wages in front of the receptionist! Terrible manners. I would think individual wages can be rather personal to certain colleagues. She could have done it at home or other spare room or somewhere discrete. Even the receptionist stated that she's too money minded rather than be thinking of any improvements need to be carried out for the clinic. Apparently, the boss thinks she is the woman behind the clinic.
*Puiiii*
To me, I'm not surprised if she doesn't know anything about feet, about bling yes. Also, being the boss's wifey, she would need to be a bit more upfront, more open towards patients and employees ( communication is the key but I think she sucks at it), and and lastly, more confident about herself. Last week, we had just one receptionist to hang on for 3 practitioners at the same time. The whole place was in a total madness of chaotic state. B is supposed to come in to help out. Nonetheless, she overslept and obviously coming in the afternoon means she worked lesser than expected. What can we all say in this? Just shook our heads silently. I reckon B has only work 2 or 3 years in her whole entire life. The bottomline is "girls, if you married a good hubby, this is what you get- staying comfortably and shaking legs from late 20s onwards." Then again, I would be 'worrying' that she may predispose herself to getting early dementia/Alzheimer's disease. I always think that if you don't make full use of your brains to work, such forgetful crippling diseases will start hitting on you earlier than expected.

In summary, if only
*she can STOP counting the wages at the front counter,
*she can start communicating with abit more description or essence in her sentences.
eg.Colleague:" Did you have a good weekend?"
B: " Yes i have a good weekend."

When people start asking you having a good weekend or not, especially when she said she DID have a good one, then she better bloody say why! Gosh gosh* Oral ang moh failed. Not saying I am very ultimate. After staying in Oz for so long, one would tend to pay attention to local cultures and ozzie trends. For her who had stayed longer than I do, the way she talks is too aunty-ish ("aiyoooooo, you know that type of peeeple beri strange one" -huh?) . Plus I don't think I need another auntie. Ta very muchie.

I was working flat out one day. She asked if I am going out anywhere for holiday. I replied:" nope, no concrete plans yet. And I am in need of a good rest." She sounded so astonished and commented " You earn so much where got exhausted."
Is this how an airhead talk?
Please, I am only human and you can never understand what is like in a working world.

Uh, I think your hubby needs a foot spa.

Happy Boxing Day *bish bish*

What another magnificent weather in the range of 28-30 degrees celsius. This pic is just a 'show off' of my presents for this Xmas. Hurhur! Thank you beri beri much to all my loving friends. And again, today is quite a 'nua' (boring) day for me. I went to a local market for some shopping. Passed by this stall where there is a lady who does tarot readings. Not that I am a supersitious person, I'm only doing it for the sake of fun. Firstly, I was told to shuffle my card and put it on 3 decks with my left hand only. Next she spreaded the cards and asked me to pick 7 cards with my left hand only.

In summary of the things she said to me:

1) I'm a sensitive, intuitive person. Am a very good pisces.
2) She asked if I am lonely coz' I got a card that has a man crying on his bed at night. Of course sian lah. So limited friends here and the area which I lived in doesn't help with limited sports or social clubs.
3) She asked have I been emotionally hurt before. I picked a card that has a man stabbed with lots of spears. Ohhh yes, that fugging Irish and that fugging Scot. She advised me to get over it soon.
4) Career: I'll earn good money for next year. Will be able to live in luxury as my life goes on. I've made the right move to Sydney. Able to set up my own clinic someday.Right now I feel abit confused. I like the working style in Sydney but not able to get together with friends and family puts me off. I've got job offers in Singapore now but I hate the working lifestyle there and yet I wanna get together with my folks. True enough, Miss Tarot said I am confused about something.

5) Love/family: She asked do I wanna get married?LOL She said I will eventually. 5 months down the road I'll be meeting this dude - maybe he is a patient (now that's a bad choice), colleague's friend or..etc SO we shall see how accurate Elaine (psychic) is. In addition, I'll have a son later on in life.

She did another reading for me whether to stay put in Sydney or Singapore.
Sydney: Potential to set up clinic, someone is helping me 'sliently' with my earnings (that sound like my boss. He does ensure that I earn adequately everyweek).
Singapore: Able to gain success in work. Everything going well except I am not happy - must be the grouchy aunties or uncles OR long working hours. Seriously, Aussies are alot more accomodative and less grouchy.

Plan: I am going to give myself another year in Sydney, if my social life doesn't pick up, it's time to pack up and say hello to Singapore. After all, money can't buy the happiness that I wanted.

Santa arrived at my doorstep! Heh I took this pic as all the kids and even adults were all into Santa frenzy.

May peace be with you

Merry Happy Christmas to all whom have been reading this (boring) blog.
As previously mentioned, I've planned to dedicate today mainly for household work and ironing -which is pilling up reaching almost half of my height.
I wanted to roast a turkey thigh today and the damn over doesn't work.
*ROARRRRR*
So now I gotta be innovation with my cooking style. Perhaps a turkey salad later. We shall see.

Went for midnight mass yesterday. This is something which I've always enjoyed going on xmas eve. Sadly, I am not able to be back in Singapore and celebrate with friends on such festive occasion. Nonetheless, carolling at the church is good enough to make me happy.
Slept at 3am last night after chatting with a friend in France and CA in Singapore. Woken up this morning by the loud constant banging on my door.
Oh the landlord and his kids have handmade me a xmas card plus a box of chocs. How sweet of them. I dropped off a box of Lindt outside their place last night after knowing that I'll not able to wake up the next morning to catch up with them if I am attending the mass that is.

Plans for Xmas Eve:

How can I cry at the king kong movie..boohoo!

AEIOU

I've just received a Xmas greeting card from my sponsored child, Ed, in Tanzania. So cute! He drew 2 birds and wrote the letters "A E I O U" on it. He's only 7 and started school this year. So touched when I got the card at the clinic this morning. *sniff sniff*
Despite the fact that Ed is growing up in poverty, he is still able to bring the joy into someone's life. What I am trying to say is if you get the shi* in your life, it is not necessary for anyone to share your shi*.
******

I am working flat out this whole week. All the fugging ladies wanna get happy jolly feet before xmas.

My driving buddy - Scottie Dino

That dinosaur soft toy has been sitting in my car for the past 5 years. He has been a faithful companion and gets the pleasure of meeting VIPs on my passenger seat. Hurhur. Every soft toy has a story. And here is his one:

J and myself met over the internet 6 years ago from this channel called #Medmen in MIRC. He was a 21 yo med student and I was only a 20yo registered nurse at a local hospital. So we met for the first time at Gelare for some pancakes and ice-creams~ yummy stuffs. So we keep in touch from then onwards. Till one day, he asked if I wanted to go Zouk for Mambo night. I agreed and he came to pick me up.Heh, I am truly a retro babe lah. At that point of time, I would consider him as one of the niceeeest dudes I've ever met. For one thing which I didn't do was to check out if he has a girlfriend or not. Anyway, getting into a relationship wasn't on my mind so I reckon I should be enjoying as much fun as I should be. Mambo night can never be a dull one okay?!. We did a lot of dance moves such "square room.."etc. So much boogies going on.When we decided to call it a night, he began to hold my hand and walk out of the club. " Uhm this is abit confusing," as my brain said. Holding hands can't really meant that he wants or is serious with me. I got a dude friend who enjoys holding girl's hand - in regardless of any possible relationship developing or not. There you go.

Many days turned into months , he rang me to ask me out as he just returned from Scotland with his family plus he got me a little gift too.Ta da! that's how the dino came to me.

More confusing issues: Why is he so affectionate to me? Why does he send Valentine's day card to me? I don't send V-day card to any of my guy pals as no doubt that I like them beri much as my friends. How can we share a bowl of chen do (local asian dessert) especially after he showed me a pic of his girlfriend?

*sigh*
Wherever he is, I wish him all the best and thanks for the lovely dino.

Apparently he is engaged now ...I heard.

One more week of work-then it's Holi holi-day!

For the past two weeks, work has been super busy till I hardly had anytime to blog. Round 3 of Xmas luncheon was on last Friday with the hospital pods and dieticians. The xmas lunch is located just next to the wharf facing the Darling Harbour. With 17 of us altogether, 2 seperate tables have been arranged and thus, most of us have to stand up and mingle around with other folks while waiting for arrival of the meals- Calamari with tiger prawns as entrees, baby barramundi with asparagus/sauteed mushrooms as the main, and lastly, dessert was vanilla ice-cream with a muffin -shaped brownie with choc filling in it.
Guess those meals must have add up extra few kilos plus not to mention that I've not been running as much as I wanted to for the past two weeks. So UNhealthly......
The clan later suggested to go to Bunglow pub after lunch where I had a glass of Stella Artois there then.Since Bunglow pub was kinda loud and jam packed with some "older" folks, Homebar was the next place to go. Had a strawberry daiquiri cocktail and gosh, my head started spinning a little. Perhaps my alcohol level has dropped significantly coz' ever since I got to Sydney, I've been a good girl who hardly consumed much liqour stuffs. hurhur.

On the lighter note, one of my patients surprised me last Friday with a little pressie! So touched worr! I've planned to open that on Xmas day itself. I reckon I've received the most pressies this year. As for today, the boss of a 'dodgy' clinic which I worked for actually gave me a xmas gift too.Hurhur.

Round 4 Xmas lunch will be heading to my colleague's place on the eve of Xmas. Hopefully DDU will get her butt to Sydney on Xmas day. If not, I'll most probably spending this xmas alone.*sniff*

Gentle reminder to self: Need to write up the summary of venous disease of lower limb before end of 2005.

Karma

Clinic was closed for half a day as the boss has organized a xmas luncheon for all the staffs. Receptionist has managed to put on a reservation at this Italian eating resturant sitting next to a lake. The ambience was fantastic and it would be a lot nicer if it was for dinner though. Guess all of us had too much wine in between. Say like 4 bottles of chardonnay shared among 6 people. Hurhur. And of course, as the blood alcohol increases, everyone starts to rattle abit more 'shit'. For instance, who would be really interested to know if your wifey has given you permission to go to a strip club. HE thought she was cool and having such an open minded wife. Geez, if I were her, don't even think about asking it unless I am dead. Wife said as long as he doesn't get a lappie move from the dancer and that would be fine. She means the hubby is allowed to do anything except a lap dance?? It's like me telling my husband like "hey honey, I am having a mass orgy with my mates tonight."-GROSS!!

Later, the girls except the wifey adjourned to the receptionist house for some girlie chats and coffee. We all chatted on some relationship matters. Think one can never get away from such topics especially when you are hanging out with a bunch of girls. They asked about my romance history. When I start reflecting on my previous relationship, it is Not that interesting after all. I had only one serious relationship in my whole entire life when I was 17. Till 3 years later, I decided to call it quits. No doubt he was the 'perfect' man, I didn't cry or feel sad after the breakup. The love just wasn't there anymore. From that day onwards, I know that I need a man who can motivate me, encourage me, someone whom I look upon and learn from him throughout my life. Someone who can respect me. He wasn't someone who can respect what I do in my job previously (as a nurse). Karma, probably is hitting on me right now. Since then, I have not gotten myself in any relationship.....that's like being single for the past 7 years -holy cow!
Flings come and go - not really my cuppa tea. And again, that would be another side of story.
Maybe I am putting myself in a difficult position too. I've been moving around quite a fair bit for the past few years. Frankly speaking, those eligible dudes whom I've met so far got very turn off each time when I tell them that I am working in Oz. Not many people wouldn't have agree with LDR and that's understandable. Or is it the karma befalling on me??

Muacksxx

I've been receiving Merry Christmas kisses from my female fans (elderly folks) out there. hee hee, so sweet of them!!!
I'm feeling rather lethargic the whole of today.Perhaps have not recovered much from my last weekend party. More Xmas lunches on this week.
Think that I gotta swim a few more laps than usual.
Tomorrow is cheap movie day. Wondering what I should watch....hmm...

Essentials:
Nivea SPF 30, Lip Sunblock SPF 15, beach bag, thongs(flip flops), shorts, bathers, sunnies, water, and ogle at guys in orange speedos if any.

Had a wonderful time at the beach with girlfriends. Had steak/chips for lunch, Sache (chocolate) cake for dessert with ice coffee, BBQ chicken/roast duck with side order pak choy in osyter sauce for dinner.Lots of 'bitching' and updates on our conversations.Hurhur.

* Sunday: My gay dude is in town

It wasn't planned at all depsite the fact that he did mention that he would ring me after touched down at the airport. Was scrubbing the floor when he rang. Damn, by the time I've hung up, I've got like 20mins to get ready so that I can catch a bus to city. Bathe in my fastest speed, some concealer on face, lipbalm, removed the yellow hairband and let down my hair. Pump out a ball of mousse for more definition curls. Grabbed a short mini white skirt and for a moment, I was confused what to wear with. Anyhow, thinking that I can't afford to miss the bus, I picked on a grey singlet. Dashed to my car and drove to the bus stop. Stupid P(passed) plate driver who basically taking his own sweet time to pick a car park spot.Yeah dude,I supposed it was really difficult to chose a beautiful parking spot despite the fact that the carpark is quite empty.
Next, once I've parked my car, saw the bus was already at the bus stop. *fffug!!*
In regardless of my 'image'. I sprinted down probably about 50m and guess this is my lucky day. The driver did wait for me to get on the bus. woohoo!Soo cool man that bus driver.
Met my gay dude at Hilton and we had Taiwanese eat out. On our way there, we saw this really amusing protests on the street. So bo liao...

Getting the groove (with the gays)

This weekend is slightly different for the past mutiple weekends I had in Sydney. The groove began on Friday evening. Drove home asap after work. Had a shower when Donny rang to ask where I am. Told him that I need at least 45mins to get to city as I would give him a buzz once I get there. Packed stuffs and left my car at a shopping mall carpark. Walked to the bustop where the driver was driving at an incredible speed thus, taking only less than half an hour to get there. Walked up to Surry Hill where the party took place at D's friend's home. Got there in time to have some rice and braised duck AND beef redang. Superbly delicious meal.
Finally! I got to meet Roman(D's gay partner) from Switzeland since our last encounter approximately 5 years ago. Along with Roman, there is Stef - a gay too and the cute looking straight lass, Mario are all Swiss. The Swiss folks are taking the opportunity to travel around Oz prior attending Donny's graduation on this coming Monday.
D's friend and his partner stayed in this ultra nice zen apartment style with an amazing overlooking view of the harbour bridge and city itself.
I was abit anxious at first as I do not know a lot of people there. Followed by a few glasses of sparkling shiraz, I became more relax while enjoying the chat with others.
Donny and rest are expected to make a move up to Brisbane early next morning. Party ended at 1am as Donny also started to complain that he's feeling abit nausea from the excessive wine intake. So we parted and exchanged kisses with the hosts.By the way, what I observed that the gays are truly affectionate/passionate people.Heh.

Took about at least 20mins walk to their service apartment. Along the way, we grabbed some Hungary Jacks which Donny still complain of feeling nauseous while eating his burger half way through. I was entertained by Stef and Mario simultaneouly when we continued our walking again.

Reached the apartment, I totally concussed on the bed till the next morning. My body simply refused to get off the bed. Just feel that i need to put in great effort of pull myself up. ...o_0
Had a shower and met Donny's future mom-in-law who doesn't speak English except German.
Packed stuff , checked out.Took some pics with Donny and unfortunately not with Mario at all. Orrrrrr..............
Roman was kind enough to give me a lift to Cirular Quay to meet up the girls for beach outing. I am so char dar (tanned) now.
Pose a few nice pics at the beach too..... ;p

Off to bed now....too tired.....

Will my real honey please stand up!?

Kindness

Kindness is most important in a boyfriend/girlfriend. You want someone who will go through everything with you - the best moments and the worst, and all of those other moments in between. You love to be able to say anything to your partner, and have them say anything to you. You are able to be extremely close with your partner for that reason.

"Why must I pay?"

It was one of those 'acting' blondes with orangy wrinkled (tanned) skin patient was saying the above sentence.
She came in for her insoles check and at the same time also complained of some tenderness on left foot.
She needs to pay for a consulation because:

1) Her insoles are adjusted and extra accessories are posted on it too.

2) Advice (icing, reduce activity level ..etc) given in terms of managing the tenderness on left foot.

3) Gait analysis-hello auntie, I do consider as part of my assessment on your insoles check.

4) Muscle testing - Ahh, I can see that when you starts to invert (rolling out) your ankle, your foot starts to hurt...hmmmm..

All these above have taken a standard of 30mins consultation. What could be a better reason for not paying up? BEECH!!

Hey!I've just learnt a new song by Akon from the radio while driving on my way to work this morning.

" Hey ladies, drop it down, just wanna see you touch the ground.
Don't be shy girl Go Bananza
Shake your body like a belly dancer.

Yo, excuse me, beg your pardon girl
Do you have any idea what you starting girl
You got me tingiling, come to me mingiling
Steppin off lookin bootylicious and jingiling "

Ok that's all I can remember. hurhur! Speaking of which, I used to like to do the rap of Jump by Kris Cross.

I miss karaoke.....

Orientation not so Ole

Had an orientation going on at this XXX hospital. As far as I know that orientation can never be fun but ultra boring. I am bored stiff to the max plus having the big P doesn't help me to keep still. I must admit more than half of the time I was drawing doodles on the papers. I am also that kind of person who usually listens rather than 'staring' at lecturers giving the talks.
Anyhow, I decided to skip the last part of the program today as it is si beh boring. BORING *ROARRR*
A massive crash happened on one of those junctions while driving back home. Thus, this huge accident resulted all the cars got detoured- YES,it took me more than an hour to get home on the slow stop and start motion drive.
* no energy to roar*

I need heat pack....but Cityangel said cold pack better...

Sunday Special

I am typing this because I am PMSing. First, the laundry line broke into two.*KNN
Next, the swimming pool was closed when I got there. Since my face can't take on any harsh sunlight ( due to taking Roaccutane), thinking that it may be a wise decision to swim in the late evening instead. Means no tan no work out= not fit! *ROARRRR*
In addition, I bought a Vaccum cleaner from Kmart, there are some parts missing in the box. *feeling ultimate crossed*ROARRRRR somemore*

Xmas checklist:

1) Vaccum Cleaner
2) Clinque blusher which I've been using for the last 10 years.
3) IPOD mini - think have to postpone to March (my burfday wor)
4) Levis Jeans - It's about time for another pair since my last pair which I got it when I was 21.
5) Radiology book on foot and ankle- cost like AUD200++
6) Hair dryer
7) Web cam and a mic - then I can 'skype' with family and friends

I miss PERTH!

That's besides the point. Each Xmas in Perth, my mom would fly over from Singapore to join my friends for potluck and the beeaaaaccchh. Gosh, I miss the beach soooo much!! On Xmas day itself, that place is flooded with loads of cute hunks and hot babes.

This year, I got an invitation from a fellow colleague for a xmas eve's dinner party. She said we'll have prawns and heaps of bons bons. hurhur. Another workplace auntie is going to bring me to the city for some live shows next week. Well, after all, I guess there are still nice people out there who do care for me ;p

Student placement - Got a 1st year pod student came in for a 2-day placement at the hospital. Since the other pod wasn't interested in taking her for the clinic, I took her in to see my patients. I recalled having my 1st placement wasn't really helping me at all. NO one seems to be telling me how things should be done or taken note of. What's the better way of handling the instruments and how I should be aware of my body mechanics when treating the patients. Pods tend to hunch a lot when sitting down to give treatments. So I asked what she has learnt for the past few placements. She replied:" oh I was told not to 'turtle' a lot with my neck." I burst into laughter coz that's just soo true. I would think it is important to set a very basic foundation for the 1st year so they would be practising with more confident as they progress through the years.

Off to shopping now....
