More of Mr Banker

He messaged me on MSN after my arrival in Perth. I ignored it while thinking of the 'nasty things' he once said to me. Following few days later, he sent to me another message indicating " I know you hate me but I do miss you".
So I went on asking why he did said all those not-so-nice things to me in the first place and expecting me to talk to him again??
He apologised profusely as he wasn't expecting me to be so cut up in the conversation in the first place. What the? Of course I'll be pissed and who he thinks I am to be that submissive little lady. Ptoooi!

I tried to be nice but if someone who pushes my limit I'll definitely have the urge of stabbing that person with my size 10 scalpel.

"It's the past, forget it." Afterall, da1 ren2 you3 da4 liang4. Why should I let this prick to 'mess' up my mind.

At last, we have some decent normal conversations. He asked if I wanted just to be friends or more. I asked him in return " are you looking for something more than?". He replied:" hopefully".
-_- eeeee

Firstly, he doesn't really know me. Secondly, we are going to be miles apart and how is this going to work out in the first place. This is not being realistic at all. Thirdly, I'll be starting my new job which definitely takes up 3/4 of the day. I don't expect to be knock off on time subjecting the number of patients I got to see.

Like what DDU has said, he's just being desperate ;p

This is a message to all potential Mr Dates:
I work in a healthcare area where the patient loading is high and demanding. Don't expect me to turn up your date on time. Of course I will be responsible enough to let you know that if I am going to be late via call or sms. All I'm asking is your understanding.
Thinking of the rat race in Sg makes me sick to think of it sometimes.

Tuesday

It's nearly half the price that I have to pay for a movie which happens on every Tuesday. Right now I'm just waiting for D to get home in an hour's time so we can catch a movie together later this evening.

In fact, I've just came back from Joe's Shack, a seafood place down in Fremantle. Cara, a fellow Aussie pod, ordered a large bowl of succulent chilli mussels plus a main of caesar salad. The weather was simply fantastic with a temperature of 27 degrees celsius. We had a good catch up on her trip to America , England and on how she survived the locum work with NHS and dodgy housemates..etc.. Trust me, dodgy housemates can give you the worst nightmares that you never expected. Me, being the moving guru, knows it all the dirty tricks from such peeps. That's why I always had my fingers crossed if I'm gonna move into a new place.

**************
It would be my first time celebrating Chinese New year after 7 years in Oz. Some of the girls that I know had already made their manicure/pedicure/hair salon appointments. Aiyo,I wonder why should someone going through all the trouble dolling up just for the lunar new year. I mean not unless one is attending a big hollywood or Oscar party. Maybe I'm just not feminine enough. Even going to Orchard Road, my gfs need to dress up to the nine. Singapore's such a humid place and putting on a pair of jeans can be such a pain for me.
My mom can't even stand me wearing a pair of Havanias red thongs (read:slippers) wherever I go. She felt I should wear something at least more presentable. *eyes roll up*

*************
The boxes which I've sent from Sydney to Singapore have arrived! My dad rang me up and said he is going to pick it up together with my bro. Yipppeeeeeeeeeeee. Means that I can escape paying the depot taxes. *WIDE GRIN*

*************

I've been thinking that it's about time to upgrade myself in terms of continuing education. Well, at least not until my bro has finished his studies in 2 years time plus the amount of 'debt' I've to support him through.
It's just a thought ;)

HOT lah!

The climate in Perth has been absolutely heated up to the max.No less than 35 degrees celsius for the last few days at least. *feeling faint* I think I've spent more money buying bottled water than anything else whenever I'm out. I was even thinking of just putting my bathers on at home. Since I'm staying with my gf and family, it wouldn't be so nice afterall ;p

For the past one week in Perth, I've been roaming around Perth city, Subiaco, Bursewood and not forgetting Freo. For one thing which I'm sure of is that I can't leave Freo without getting a Gingerbread man. Caught the fireworks on Aussie Day at the foreshore. Had stonegrill dinner at Mt Lawly with D and Gris. Had a mini girly chillout on Saturday night watching like 12 Jay Chow's MTV. Got a few dresses at Kookai from Garden City.Wheee!! Caught the Epic
Movie at Carousel which was kinda entertaining and silly.

Moving on to the 2nd week in WA, I'll probably spend more time catching up with Ann, Beni, and Cara. My previous workplace has given me a 45-dollar Borders voucher which means......
More books = heavier lugguage ;(

Rang up the tenant board in Sydney earlier. They've accidentally put in bond money into someone's else account. So lousy adminstration. *pissing off look*

I've got so many picccccccccs to put up!

Bonous entry:

Since I'm waiting for my car to arrive from Sydney, I have to take a public transport wherever I go. Every frigging bus driver kept on asking me if I've got a concession ticket which no doubt I've already specified I just want a standard tix.

I can be forever young leh.

Heh!heh !heh!

Post from Western Australia

OOOO what a feeling! It's nice to be back to Perth where I can get the chance to meet up my friends. D picked me up from the airport and we headed off to the city to have a nice Korean lunchie. For dinner, since's it B's (D's sister) birthday, we had a 7- course chinese dinner together. It's been so long I had a real decent chinese meal. YUM YUM YUM.

3 weeks of good O' holiday in Perth before I start the rat race in Singapore. One thing for sure is that I'm gonna missed the short working hours in Oz.I'll miss the time I can get to read a book while waiting in between patients and get paid at the same time. I'll miss the roadtrips and beaches. And those long holiday breaks!!! I think I've only work 10months or less for last year.

Meet up with Dan for the last 2 days. He's one of my besties that I've ever got. Since he knows I've got a tight-ass (budget), he got me 2 Esprit tops and 1 Witchery belt. It is just one of those things that you don't mind spending on for a good friend. Same goes for me as well. I'm happy to get a little pressie for his mom's birthday and buy him dinner etc...I must say that to most people often see it there's something going on once a female get along well with a dude.
I can count at least half of my 10 fingers that I've been besties with some dudes for over 10 years. AP , the male colleague whom I've worked with in Sydney, offered me accomodation on my final overnight stay with his family. His dad even cooked a large brekky early in the morning so I could have it before my flight to Perth at 8am. In return, I got them a bottle of Savignon as a token of appreciation. It's all these wonderful things/favours that people do for each other which make life a lot easier. Unlike my ex -boss in Sydney, he often choses to help me but expect me to return a favour to him. *stab stab stab*

Farewell Sydney

2 more days to go. I've decided to call it quits in Sydney. Embarking on another different kind of journey facing with new challenges ahead. Last weekend, my time has been spent on visiting various touristy places such as Powerhouse museum, National State Library, Darling habour, Hard rock cafe, Paddington till I developed an extreme pain on my peroneals and cuboid region from excessive walking perhaps.
Had an xray done and I'm convinced that I've got some soft tissue issue.

Had an interesting day at the hospital. All new medical interns are welcome to attend the allied health exhibitions. Set up a min osce test for the new grad Drs and for each correct answer, they are allowed to collect a docket to indicate they have visited the 'stalls'.
Today is the last day that I get to work with my favourite partner in crime, Mr French. He gave me a peck and a big teddy bear hug to wish me luck and goodbye. So touched ;(
Tess's gonna give me a lift home after work tomorrow as my car will be transferred to Perth via rail. Rachel has been bugging me to visit her at Bathurst. Guess I must have disappoint her again.
The whole department is gonna have pizza (without beer) for lunch as part of my farewell lunchie.

Next blog will be from Perth.

Lady Musgrave Island

DDU and myself booked a day trip to LMI. Since it will take us 2 hours of drive from Rockhampton to the Town of 1770, we were on the road slightly before 6am. Town of 1770 is the place where Captain James Cook has set his foot down.
By the time we reached the ferry port in Town of 1770, a large number of tourists were already there. We were warned of the massive swells in the sea and been advised to take some 'Travelcalm' to prevent seasickness. In the end, we popped some ginger pills and keeping our fingers crossed that we don't puke during the 2- hour rocky sea ride.
Gosh, the whole frigging ferry ride wasn't pleasant at all. Quite a number of people started renching and vomitting. One of the passengers got so sick that she has to be put on oxygen.

Once we arrived to the destination, the tour was split into 3 groups. We were in the first so we get to sit on a small boat to LMI. The island is formed as part of Great Barrier reef and also considered as a marine park. Campers are allowed on site with a daily fee of $9 AUD. The amazing thing about this island is the wildlife , which are mainly the birds and turtles, are protected. No reptiles are sighted.

I had so much fun snorkelling and checking out those big fishes! I wanna grab one of them and barbi-ed it.

Bonous entry: This guy sux

I'm not meeting Mr Banker afterall. During our MSN chat, he strongly felt that I should have tough up my stay in Sydney. Even though I've explained to him that my social life is diminishing rapidly throughout my stay in Syd, he gave an example how he stayed in Canberra for 5 years without friends. See, my logic is I'm that kind of person who needs a balance in life.

Career+social life = happy lady

Career + (-0) social life = grumpy lady

Bad Career + good social life = unhappy lady

Weird thing is he messaged me on xmas, new year and once he arrived back from KL. Quite persistent as he seems to be. At this point, I was thinking it could be worthwhile to keep some friendship before I leave for good. He went on rattling how bad the Singaporeans guys are. In general,99% of sg guys are nice to girls for a reason -> sex. He's like brainwashing me how bad it is to go back to work in Sg. So discouraging instead of giving me some motivation.

OK, enough of such ass****.

I am thankful that I've got fabulous friends who supported my decision and looking forward upon my return.Feeling bless indeed. And also friends who listen and take an interest of what I've got to say when I'm feeling in doubt.

Come away with me

Prior leaving for North Queenland, A rang and asked if I wanted to check out central coast of New South Wales. I happily agreed on the roadtrip as planned. Took us about one and a half hour drive where we get to meet another of A's friend, Sue.
Sue works as a pod fo 4 years in the town of Terrigal. She's earning so well that she's planning to go shopping for a brand new 4WD and trading off her Renault. Geez, I wanna work in Terrigal tooooooo. Our day was spent on beaches, sunshine, fish and chips. More info:

Have you ever seen a house on the move? I mean the whole godfather house being moved from one spot to another. This is actually quite a common sight up in Queensland country town.

Ooooo the trailer is making its way very slowly on the roundabout

While sitting in DDU's Rover, I quickly grabbed my digi cam and took a snap of the house moving on a trailer. Very happening......

It's official

My savings is 4k poorer.

No leh, I don't invest or play with shares.

*****************

Today there was this 'strange' lady who came in telling me how pretty I am and why is it I've got no boyfriend. I find it 'strange' too when people asked me such questions. The fact is how I am suppose to know the answer in the first place?? Then she proceeded on asking me if I am wearing stockings. With politeness, I replied 'no' and explained that I've just been to Queensland where I got my tanned skin from.

The best part was she commented if my dad was English coz I appeared to look abit of 'mix' to her.
At this point, I just couldn't stop grinning... ...

Post from North Queensland (Love and Dates)

Here I am entering this entry using DDU's lappie. I have not felt so relaxing as compared to my busy life in Sydney(ok, can't be compared to rat race in Sg). Right now my life encompasses sleeping in, playing with DDU's dogs, exercise, eat, surfing and shopping. This Saturday, the girls are going on a trip to Lady Musgrave island where we'll spend our time on snorkelling and buffet-ing.Prior to that, we need to take a 2-hr drive down to the port for ferry boarding.

Dad called me up *again. I can tell he's so keen for me to get back home asap. On the other hand, he's bugging me to buck up my social life.*shrugs* So I told him I may be going on a date with a banker. Dad gave Mr Banker a big cross after grilling me with questions. I would like to remind the readers that I don't blame my dad for who he is. Every parent has the right to be concerned of their children in terms of safety sake. Maybe I'm just a daddy's girl and no doubt I don't really fancy to be one.

I came up with a draft on my Dad's Mr Right checklist for his daughter:

Mr Right: Straight
Race: Chinese
Educational qualification: University and above
Jobs:Medical line, teaching, interior designers (he thinks bankers are too poor and just the job title that sounds promising only)
Must have: integrity, self respect, generous, smart, hardworking, no need to be too handsome
Potentials: Wentworth Miller, Ryan Gosling, not-so-overly extreme toots and nerds are all welcome.

Can anyone be kind enough to introduce any eligible dudes to save me from bouts of naggings and headaches? *kiddin*

***************************
I got to know a friend who is going out with this Mr Medical at the moment. What I dislike is how he actually sms her out for a date. I mean , is this for real? Or doesn't he has the guts to even make a call. Yes, we all know Mr Medical can get so uptight with his work and patients. Just a 10 seconds call is probably not worth to spend on your favourite girl uh. Hmph, Big 'L' to him.

***************************

Note: I'm actually in love with Wikipedia already.....
