For the past few days, I've been clearing my junks and sort out all my stuffs in each individual boxes. I feel faint....in fact any moment from now. I hate to decide on the stuffs whether I should be chucking them away or pack it up for future use. Quite a pain on my butt , seriously mate.
Thanks to DDU for introducing me to this website called Freecycle Sydney. This is the place where the junks can be given away to online users for free. Instead of putting up on ebay, I've planned to give away my Ikea study lamp, telephone, telephone wires/adaptors, speakers ..etc.
Feeling all the stress mounted on top of my head, a bottle of chilled Stella Artois has made me a more relaxed person.
I've told my landlord that I'll be leaving soon. She was kind of upset to lose a good tenant -ya, that's me.

K called me up and invited me to have lambshanks for dinner on Boxing day. I asked would I be interferring her dinneer with her hubby, her brother and gf. It's so odd to be like the largest 'light bulb' in between them. After rounds of reassurance, I agreed to go ahead with the invitation. Brought a bottle of sparking wine that leftme frigging headache the next morning. The dinner was nice and cosy.We chatted a lot on childhood sweethearts, parenting matters, jobs, and agriculture. K is an absolute fanatic about native plants. All of us went around her garden while she gave a briefing on her darling trees and flowers. It sux the thought of not having a date to accompany me. Thank goodness I had a Alaskan Mallamut who was supposedly to be my date. (kiddin' ya). That is K's doggie.

I'm off to central coast of Sydney tomorrow. A was nice to take me on a trip to visit his friend there. He said we'll be having a swim at the beach or picnic. And on Saturday, I'll be taking off to North Queensland to visit Eviltooth. Wheeeeeee! Life is good to me ;)

The only Christmas thing that I would look forward is to attend the midnight mass. St Bernedett's Church will always remain in my memory of the lonely Christmas seasons that I've spent in Sydney. No petrol stations and no mackers are opened on Christmas day.
Good for laundry day with gusty wind and plently of sunshine.

In fact the whole morning and afternoon, I've spent on packing and taping and MORE packing!! During the packing ordeal, I was confident to say that I've made the right choice on relocation. I also forsee that I just couldn't handle the pressure with moving .Maybe if I were a guy, it would have been different story altogether. Based on my calculations, I've moved at least 7 different houses in between Perth and Sydney. Geez, does anyone can understand the hassel of moving house at all?
THANK YOU.
my beloved friends
For making those overseas sms christmas greetings from Malaysia, Singapore, Perth. I feel so loooooooved!!! I've even received one sms from my long time nursing pal whom I've hardly talk to her for the last 7 years. That's certainly such a pleasant surprise ;)
Oh my hairdresser gave me a ceramic (spell?) hair straightner as a Chrissy pressie!! See, you don't have to be a celebrity to get the endorsement deals.hurhurhur.
It wouldn't be too long.....

My bro has passed his exams and moving on to the 2nd year in SIM. Me, being labelled as the 'rich cow' in family, will be paying his next semester uni fees on the upcoming month.
Somehow or rather, it brought my mind to think that what would happen if I'll be the one paying for my child's university fees.
What sort of expectations that I would have on my child then? If he or she is unable to excel in his studies, will I still give him/her a chance to repeat with another cost added?
My dad brought us up in the family tradition that everyone should help one another out in regardless of anything -whether you like it or not. My dad has helped me on my education and now it's my turn on my bro's. I don't mean to put it this way but with those amount of 'kaching', I've realised I could have got myself on a house deposit.
To think on a more positive mode, at least I know I have the capability to do that.
If I ever become a spinster, I would insist that my brudder will be paying off for my retirement village unit.(u fugging hear me)
For additional info, a retirement village is like a small 2 bedroom (or even 1) self contained unit with facilities such as communal reading lounge, pool, recreation room, visiting Drs etc....
All facilities will be well taken care of and I wouldn't resist if I get a chance to perv on a cute hunky gardener. ho ho ho.

I'll be looking forward to attend the midnight mass on this coming Sunday. My boring Chrissy shall remain the same as last year's. Pretty uneventful which I would think. *sigh*
One of my fellow colleagues probably will experience the worst Xmas season when she was recently being informed that her best friends (who is a couple) are killed in an accident in Africa. Those friends of hers whom she would chose to take her timeout for travelling moments together. I've packed a little goody chrissy pack to cheer her up abit.
Back to my Xmas day, I've planned to do some packing and have a couple of beers. Tis the season to be jolly afterall.
*******
A asked me out to watch a scary movie called THE DESCENT last night. I agreed since it's Tuesday. In Oz, Tuesdays will be cheapest rate to pay for a movie. My friend called it the 'tight-arse Tuesday'. One would pay almost doubled the price on movies being watched on other days of the week. Knn, I was just freaking out throughout the whole movie. What's worst, I can't bloody sleep well at night which the horrific scenes kept on repeating on my mind. However, SAW 2 is another show which I'll never ever watch by myself again.
Tomorrow will be my last day at work in 2006. (hip- a -hip horray!)

My patient gave me some handmade soaps as a Xmas gift :)

As the feet department works under the same roof as the dieticians, WE started forming out very own walking group on (almost) every Monday afternoon subjecting on weather conditions.
The walking distance is roughly about 800m with steep slopes off and on. As for today, me and 3 other 'ang mohs' walked up to the local mall to have our lunch. While we were walking and chatting at the same time, they were saying how nice is it to be like me - being able to eat heaps and 'figure' remains unchanged.
I've explained that it's all due to my zero social life level. Less friends means less hang outs means less eating out means spend more time to workout.
When I was back in Singapore, my waist seems to be expanding every friggin day. By the end of 2nd week stay in Sg, my skirt is kinda tight to zip up.
My rules of engagement on keeping fit:
* EXERCISE - whether you like it or not
* DIET - eat good meals with proportions. Don't get understarved or over-starved on a meal.
* WATER - is still the best drink on earth( but I like Coke Zero more.)
* SLEEP - helps in rejuvation and maintain its mental well-being. Geez, I'll get cranky if I don't have enough hours of sleep. That's probably why I hardly burn midnight oil throughout my uni days.
* Occasional indulgence - It's OK once in a while but it's certainly not a sin. I've got this girlfriend who once ordered a bowl of fish ball noodles requesting only half a portion. She felt the need to compromise the calories from the choc which she ate few hours ago. Totally insane. *eyes roll up*

This year, the staffs decided to have the Xmas luncheon at this beautiful natural santuary place called Eden Gardens

Judging by the number of crowds, one can tell how fantastic the place is
On the same week, I was invited by my previous workplace to another Xmas dinner.
This time round it was held at a pub called THE BLUE GUM.

ta daaaaa

I wanted to order Rosemary lamb shanks with potato gravy. The pub ran out of it. So I chose to have scorch fillet.I wondered why I ordered that since I'm not really a fan of steak.
Pressiessssss

Presents and cards to be sent all over the world. Christmas is the season for giving. Send a card to your long lost friend! At least it goes to show that you DO care and thinking of that person on this special festive occasion.

Tis good is Friday. Had a X'mas dinner with the colleagues from previous foot clinic. The only difference of having an Aussie Xmas gathering means each of them has to pay for their own meals and drinks. This is a common culture for small business groups. Unless if one works in a big multi firms, THEN the company may pay for your party. Anyhow, I was quite bored over there really. It's like having a meal with a bunch of people who are much older than my parents.

Bonous entry:
I'm not sure what's the best way to put it. I feel that I may or may be in near future facing communication breakdowns once I get back to Sg for good.
People aren't tune into saying nice things unless it's for a reason. Don't know how to explain it. I'm sorta stuck right now. Basically, when the local folks say something especially when they are in a angry phase, they cannot calm down and say in proper, nice sentences without offending the opposite party.
For instance,
Angry peep:" I was shocked that why my pay has got deducted for no reason?"
Instead, why not try saying like " Can you please help me check on my pay which has been paid lesser than the usual?"
On the contrary, I think there are a lot of angry people in Singapore. To be more specific, a large population of angry people that I've encountered with has an underlying psychiatric disease.
Pardon me if I'm wrong to say that.

I think I may have a wart on my left heel.Lateral compression of the wart produces pain. Obviously it's a WART lor.
The defined pin- prick size with one black pinpoint in the centre is how I would describe it. I debrided it till it bleed.Added a stick of silver nitrate and now it has become a black 10cent size spot on it. Knn. I hate warts to the max. Sian halved. I'm going to further debride it this coming Fri.

My beloved cousin who cannot even recognised me when I was there. So lousy ;p.Mom's in the background.
*******************************************
Speaking about flowers, I've never received any of it from any dudes (include my ex-bf) or in my whole entire life. Ex-bf thought it's such a waste of money. To him (boring!), maybe. To me, it's another story. Sometimes a bunch of flowers can simply brighten up someone's day. May it be a stalk or a bunch. Whatever it is, the giver just wants to see the smile on that someone's face upon receiving it. Such guy who cannot understand this theory should be booted out of the (my, at least) relationship.
Yeeehaa!kick kick kick!

Something sweet to think about......
When I was locuming at a hospital, my partner- in-crime bought me sticks of carrot cake for breakfast from the Bedok market. It goes to show that no matter how shitty your day can be, there is always someone do care about you :)
When I'm busy with overloading of patients, she would buy me Milo from the vending machine. Overall, it is rather important to build up a strong cohesive working enviroment among members of workplace. Or else, one can be counting the minutes miserably once the day gets started.

My friend told me that she is going K-box at Parkway with a bunch of Drs. Kindly sponsored by the drug rep though. Nowadays the business tactics have sure changed. Not only giving out freebies, the drug rep has to socialise, give treats, and now sing song with clients is included.
I reckon the life as a drug rep is probably getting more busier than before. tsk tsk, those poor lads...
I miss singing karoke lor......
