I am depressed because... ...
1) I am still sick.Never felt so miserable with flu, cough and fever.
2) I can't re-schedule a ingrown toenail surgery. I told the receptionist to change that but she claimed that it's not easy for patients to take time off for the procedure. *eyes roll up* What about me? What if I faint just because I can't breathe through the mask and will you be the one responsible?
3) pimples - they can never be your best friends.
4) whatever I cook and yet I can't taste it due to severe block nose.
5) I have to pay $ for flu tablets
6) my tax has not been done.
Hullo! This is Mdm Flatfeet and my boobs are not flat. *Disclaimer: Any events or incidents as described here are purely frictional or in my pre/post manic stage.

Just moved *again*
Finally, got myself a little nice one unit granny flat after struggling to find a place given like a week's notice to move out at the previous place. Will upload the pics of my new place for my blog fans to view later.
Got my connection set up today.Whee!!
On the down side, I am sick with fever, sore throat, blocked nose. Can't see the rest of the patients in the afternoon and managed to get Kylie to take over me. Met this Asian Dr from Malaysia and he even recommend a few good eating places in Sydney. As we all know, Asians can't get enough of good food. He suggested that I should live and settle down in Oz rather than going back to SG which he finds the latter too restrictive with rules. He even asked how many kids i have!?? Erm, a bit funny lor, he called out my name as "Miss XXXX" initially.
Sigh* Each time when I get so sick, I wish mom is next to me..... Can't talk to my patients properly. My throat just hurts each time when I tried to talk.
Off to bed for now to curb my misery.

Patient's sorrow
Mrs Sandler (not her real name of course) is from the country and just moved to the Sydney to live with her sister since the husband passed away recently. She sold the house and right now trying to look for one unit apartment or granny flat to live. Mrs Sandler is in her 70s and came in for a podiatry visit yesterday.
She looks healthy except for a stroke which causes the right -sided weakness to her body.
Since she haven't been to see a podiatrist for ages, I began to start trimming her toenails first. The next thing is she broke down and said:" I miss Russell so much.......he was my soul mate."
Being in a profession, I always think one should be more empathic rather than sympathetic towards the patients. In the end, I got her distracted in the conversations which at least, made it easier for my treatment.
She must have loved him so much........ As for me, I am still waiting patiently for someone whom I can grow old and live happily ever after.

One of those randoms...
Judging from the August earnings, I doubt I can go to the Annual's Podiatry conference in New Zeland. I'm planning to take up another job to work on Saturday at a local clinic. My life is pretty much stagnant in Sydney. No party, staying at home to watch CSI/Law&Order, online and washing/ironing clothes with occasional 1 or 2 bottles of beer.
However, wait till I've settled for the new housing, I plan to take up salsa dance. VN's coming to Sydney on this Friday which I'll be looking forward to meet her.
I think my room mate , Di, is very lucky to have a boyfriend like Pete. He actually bought her a laptop for her school use in regardless that Di stated she will pay back the money to him. Pete often drop by at my place and the couple would go to gym on every Tuesday evening and followed by cooking dinner together afterwards. *so lovely dovey*Think I am married to the TV faithfully every night for his accompany. It's been quite a long time that I have fallen in love. Maybe I don't even know how to love someone anymore. I don't feel panicking about not getting tied up or rather more afraid of meeting thrashy guys. On the lighter note, i'll be missing Di as she will be moving out to another place this weekend as well.

Not sure for how long I can sustain such lifestyle.

Moving *again*
Back in Sydney and now tying to get back into usual routine. My *itch landlord was 'kind' enough to give me only 7 days' notice to evacuate the house. I spotted a self-contained granny flat just 5 mins down the road and hopefully no one has taken that house yet.
Work is as usual except suffering from a bit of jetlag (no doubt I am only 2 hours ahead of Singapore's time). I was so wide awake at 12mn, feeling that it's still too early to sleep. I am planning to work one day a week at a local hospital which is like about 20mins drive from where I lived. At least, that would give me more opportunity to meet more new people.
Hasn't been talking to Dad much ever since I got home. He and his menopausal mood. That is something really hard for me to accept for what he is now. He gets into a foul mood out of the blue and the next time he is trying to talk to you in a cool and calm manner. There are certain things which I can't stand him asking me to do. He is a good hearted person but if only he can stop asking me to diagnose his friends' feet condition. He brought me to this Aunty's place and asked if I can do anything to her arthritic knee.Obviously, my dad doesn't know what I'm doing in profession. The last time he asked if I could help this uncle with his foot drop problem which eventually lead a major upsetting incident between us. For a moment, I can't believe we are quarrelling over a stranger. That's the thing in traditional Asians. They can't lose 'face'. They need to show off what they are good at...or rather presenting themselves in the best manner.
Maybe I will apologise to him in regardless whether I've done anything wrong or not. Just to make him happy at least.

Last blog in Singapore (*edited)
Received an email from my Aussie roomate. We had to evacuate the house in within 10 days time. No point panicking until I get back to Sydney then.Grrr* Moving house sux big time.
I'm still losing my voice. Seen a Dr yesterday and had a injection on my butt. *quite painful ok!?*
Finally get a chance to catch up with my best girlfriends for a quick drink at night. It has been ages that we girls managed to get together and have a good chat. Wen is getting married next year so I may be planning to come back to SG in June then.
Gotta meet Shan & Ed for lunch now. They are so sweet to give me a farewell treat. Tonight will still go to Balaclava because some friends are coming down for the sake of me leaving tomorrow. Definitely gonna be a big crowd tonight (nope, I didn't go in the end - too sick still).I do feel very glad to have many friends who care about me. In fact, they actually cancelled the whole drinking session since I'm sick. What's more can I ask for.
Nothing feels like home especially you are sick.I can only say that Mom took really good care of me for the past few days. That's why I never like to get sick when I'm overseas.

Hope Cousin Eve will get well soon. Thanks to her mates who passed the Dkny watch to me ;p Now I'm a happy Jan.
Managed to catch hold of a long lost friend working at Stila cosmetic counter around Shawn house.Had a quick catch up and exchanged emails. It's such a long time that since we last talked.
I can't sleep now..I usually get quite excited about sitting on plane. It's a good feeling to be on flight.....sounds crazy?

More sick.......
Think I really have to drag myself to the airport on Saturday morning... ... My throat hurts, blocked nose, headache, dizziness and the skin on my face starts to peel excessively due to the drugs I'm taking. Mom wanted me to meet her at Raffles Place for lunch but I'm just too sick to go out. Morever, I gotta meet Cousin Eve in evening to get the watch later at Bugis. Had to reject Ric and J on the movie tonight. My best girlfriends are organising a coffee session at Siglap later. Think no matter what I still have to go on that one.
Tomorrow will be meeting Shan in the afternoon and planning to stay at home for the rest of evening.
Looking forward for a peaceful Friday evening... ...
Mom has been nagging at me to see a Dr later.Hate to be sick.My head feels as if it's weighing 100 over tonnes..

Acceptance
Mr So-So thinks I am calling him names on my blog. Whatever. I don't usually use real names on my blog. I am running out of my time and resources to sort out things with him. On the other hand, I've been really sick as a puppy. Somehow I just can't take accusations of something which is NOT true (eg, the calling name thingy). As part of learning curve, I have to accept the fact that not all humans think the same and not everyone can take on you for who you are and what you are. Then again, perhaps Mr Soso has his own reasons for being so worked up. I will always remember the good times we shared despite that we most likely will not see each other at any more.
Ok, gotta tell myself stop tearing for *uck sake.
Right now, I just wanna enjoy my last 2 days stay in Singapore.....not sure when I wanna come home for another holi.
On the lighter note, I've had a nice Jap food dinner treat from Ken and his wifey. Gene bought all of us drinks after that. Ken smsed me today saying that he is sure to make me a happy drunk this Friday at Bala. Seriously, I don't think I can make it this Friday- since I'm having cough and sore throat.
Caught the show with Naomi today at Lido cinema. It has been ages that I've seen a movie here in SG. Met up with Emily later and she gave me a Christmas magnet made by one of the disabled kids at the special school. So sweet of her.
Had my hair cut on Tuesday. Spoke a lot with my best friend's auntie and the hairstylist. They kept on encouraging me to come back to SG to work.*sigh*

Just cried
Mr So-so happened to know I got a blog site. In fact, I don't even tell any of best/closest friends about this. I was abit hurt when I received some sms from him which were not meant to be true. All I need is some time to consider whether I should let him know my blogsite or not. This is my personal blog and I do chose carefully on the people to read it. The fellow bloggers which i've linked them on my website are mostly strangers - yes, people whom I've not met except through the blog itself.
I love to write about daily randoms of my day - the only avenue to say anything I want here. I always have the feeling that the blog is my best buddy. Friends in Australia cannot be compared to the friends in Singapore.....They are just different.....That's why when it comes to certain things which I can't relate to anyone in Oz, I'll blog it.
So much hurt after those SMSes, I had to excuse myself a few times from the crowd in order to sob at the toilet. How could people just assume that I am writing bad things about them and yet not reading the blog.
I wanna tell Eugene, Donny and Constance: thanks for being there with all your care and concern at that time. I love you all.
I know I should be ignoring him for at least not respecting my privacy. But, I don't wish to leave Singapore with a heavy heart plus bitterness shit. I'll do whatever I can to clear the air between him and myself....... for as long as I've done my best.
Gotta sleep early since I don't feel well nowadays.....

Ouuuch...my throat hurts!
Mr So-so supposed to msg me about the sentosa trip on Sunday and yet he didn't. As FF said, guys suck sometimes maybe ;(. Anyhow, I still go ahead to Silosa beach with the fellow girlfriends. Played volleyball and frisbee games in a team. Had a good chat with Vone. Heh, finally she is getting her first boyfriend soon. However for Su's case, we sorta condemn that guy coz he claimed that he can only meet Su at the end of the month when the pay day arrives. That guy really sucked! Vone and myself keep on grilling at Su that she shouldn'y give in too much. Plus Su had sent him her pic and not vice versa. How uncool he is.
Getting broke very soon..just spent like 200 bucks on medications.Sian* that almost equivalent to my DKNY watch. Life sucks with face lotsa pimples and down with a sore throat.
Had to cancel the dinner plan with Eugene and Kenneth tonight then. Met up with Annie yesterday and I'll always remember what she said:" Be gracious - no matter what happened.".

Last weekend in Singapore
Had my last day of work at the local hospital. One of the PCA (patient care assistant) is so sweet that she bought me a pack of Sunrise coffee- supposedly to be one of Nestle's best coffee. Annie- another PCA, always to persude me to stay on and work for good. Then again, I don't think I am ready for that kind of lifestyle in Singapore yet.
Met up with Emily and Naomi. Emily used to be a ex-nurse and Naomi was her ex-patient. I got to know Emily through a national day parade event.Naomi was my internet friend. Get to see the circle here? We had a nice dinner together at Millenia Walk and followed by a coffee session at TCC. After all the yakkings, I proceeded to Balaclava to meet a group of my girlfriends. As usual, the band played good music. Since the place was too smokey, the rest of us were just sitting outside the bar. Of course, as time passess, the group started to get a bit 'high'- though not reaching the point of hallucination. A few pals started forcing me to bottoms up on glasses of wine. Don't know why it seemed to be that I am the popular target of the night.
Managed to get JM to send me home. However, I am not going to continue my friendship with him anymore.
He is totally disgusting fella. He should look himself into the mirror. Don't he dare to think that just because I am leaving for Aust next Sat that he can take advanatage of me. What a real *uckhead. Wish I got a chopper with me at that time, then I can 'karate' his hands off me.
I felt sorta traumatised about the whole incident the next following day.
So he messaged me twice and yet I gave no reply. Last night at 2am, he was asking if I am ignoring him. Obviously dumbass. You brought this upon yourself and now you've being 'dumped' for good.
Saturday has proved to be quite a fruitful one for me. Met up with Susan and Yvoone at Orchard. In the later part of evening, met up with Anita. So happy for her that she has found her Mr Right after meeting a bunch of losers on and off. See? I think most dudes DO have a problem about themselves. Around dinner time, went over to Tanjong Pagar to meet up with Callie and David for Salsa night.
I had an absolute fun time there. No doubt Ive just learnt the basic movement for like 5mins. I got a dance invite from a stranger right after that.
Geez, I need to find some dance lessons once I get back to Sydney ;)

Class 95 FM
My favourite radio station in Singapore. I know I'm gonna miss it heaps when I get back to Sydney on 23rd July. Why is it I always such shitty feelings when I know I had to go back Aussie to work? Is it that sort of life which i really want? So contradicting myself as usual....
What is it exactly stopping me to work in Singapore? Perhaps the only reason would be the overseas experience which I needed most. The thought of moving house just makes it more sucky to go back to Syd.
Just happened to know that one of my fellow friend's mom may have Ca Breast. To think that he had just came over here to work for not even a month and yet such a drastic thing can befall onto him.I don't know him for a long time but managed to come out twice for a few beers.
However, there is only so much I can do.....*sigh*
That's my weakest link- can't bear to see ppl getting hurt/depressed.
How come this JM always msg me and yet never ask me out? Not only he msg me bo liao msgs but I am beginning to find him a prick.

"Paparazzi"
Uh oh, someone else discovered my blog. Now have to write discreetly if not the WWW (whole wide world) will know my darkest secrets...hurhur!
Meeting more and more friends lately and now I am beginning to realise that I left with only 2 more weekends to go before I get my butt to Sydney.
Just had a Japanese dinner with Daryn at Mellenia Walk. Finally, after two long years that we manage to catch up again. Glad to hear that he is getting married next year. As usual, he is trying to introduce some ultra geeky or nerdy med dudes to me. LikeI always tell Daryn, if any guy wanna take on me, he has to show 110% of committment which will then eventually convince me to stay with him. No committment guys better steered clear of me coz they would only get on my nerves. Neither nor I will take such craps from them.Powerful uh* Bleah* I guess with my age I just can't complain to take up on the"leftovers". Going to have a med gathering with the fellas on this coming Thurs. KTV and dinner is arranged for this Friday with the net friends. Sat lunchtime to meet Esther.
No more eczema! Thanks to Dr Skinny (who works at X-ray department) who is willing to write the presciption for me. Will be arranging for a dermato dr for tomorrow to sort out my skin problem. That goes my bling bling. No choice, want to look pretty pretty have to make some scarifices somehow in one way or another.
Dr Ah Beng sent me some rather funny SMS today. This is how it goes:
Dr Beng: The cream is called Betamethasone full strength. If u're bored today wanna go jalan jalan?
ME: cannot la, i got dentist appointment today and after that meeting my friend for dinner.
Dr Beng: so late? how many teeth you are plucking out? Means wot? Cannot have laksa ever again?
I must remind myself to tell Dr Beng that his eyes are getting jaundiced....

2nd week in Singapore
Singapore has developed a number of changes over the period of years that I wasn't around here.Everything looks so familar and yet I wasn't sure of the exact shop names of the particular places anymore. 2nd week in Singapore is rather 'happening'.
Monday- Had my best friend's wedding dinner at Rlitz Charlton hotel. Me dressing up in a forest green plunging neckline and seqinine beads at the bottom of the knee length dress. Sexy babe indeed. ;p
Tuesday- Went out with the Sq girl Janet to balaclava for some 1 for 1 drinks. Night was average without any cute guys.
Wednesday- Went out with Janet and Dr Tay (which he always preferred to be called) for a Jap Sushi meals and Nydc desserts. Enjoying the best time of both companies. jan was nice to bring me to DFS for a shopping spree with 20% discount. I am eyeing on a DKNY bag for now.....hurhur!
Thursday- Little Bro Benny can only meet me at 9pm as he needed to distribute the NDP tickets at Raffles place MRT. Thinking that going home after work is such a drag so I went out with this Scottish fellow colleague for a drink at Indochine at Wisma. So funny..he knows I want Hoeegarden and I don't where to have it. Yeap he took me there then where we had 4 bottles of various beers like stella, heneiken and uh...can't remember. In between we shared viet paper rolls and fish n chips. Oh did I mention his blue eyes uh make my heart flutters? hurhur!
poor boy, he was on MC the next day for query appendicitis. The folks at the hospital said it was my fault for bringing him out to drink. bah*
Friday- Best day of the week. Met up with another fellow med, kai for katong laksa!! OMG it's been ages that I eat Harm". Then I also had Otak with a plate of Rojak with 2 cans of Coke Light. Geez I feel that I am such a glutton. Went back home and changed to meet Callie for drinking session at bala.
So so So so happy to meet the rest of my long 'lost' friends like Linda, Rachel. And my new mates, mabel and Lizzy. heh, glad lizzy likes the top i got for her. It's good to see everyone is talking to one another and for a moment, I thought it wasn't a good idea to group all different strangers together. LOL. Then supper was at next to Anson Hotel and finally i get to eat my fav black char kway!!!
Of course, after eating so much, think I am manipulating my tummy too much with food so I gotta wake up twice just to sit at the toilet bowl.

My pink tube dress
For my best friend's wedding. In fact, after relocating to sydney, I've actually lost about 4kg of fats(weight). I was trying very hard not to pull up my pink tube dress as it is kinda loose. Oh I tried to remind myself constantly that I should not jump up and down with the dress...just in case it just poop down. A maximiser bra doesn't really help to improve the situation. To make it short, the whole wedding thingy went on smoothly except a bit of crack up here and there.Eg, the brothers' are not able to perform the tasks which we, the sistas asked them to eat up the bread with jam and wasabi. hurhur! On top of that, 2 red packets for the sistas for the price that isn't right.Duh*
Hens night was organised by a few girlfirends specially at a hotel along orchard road. Not too bad for about 6 girls having 6 bottles of red/white wine plus a JD. In regardless whether you are a good or bad drinker, you just have to glurp the alcohol down to ya throat. I was smashed totally the next day with a real bad hangover. It's hard to convince myself not to repeat the same mistake each time whenever I get into such state.
Met up with Eugene after the wedding ended. The reason being because I was feeling very shitty. About Dad again, he and his forever *ucking temper for such a minute incident that I shall not go into details. This is so not worth to blog about it. To me, he seems to be taking the family for granted. He loves to manipulate his ways of handling things the way he likes it. In addition, maybe I shall not get married. Just in case if I married a guy like my dad which I'll rather be a spinister than suffering in hell. There is never a time when i come back that I can get some peace in the family. It is always his screwed up temper which drives everyone mad in the house. I told myself not to get upset again. This is bloody so not worth it.
very upset......

Who's what? Naked?
Boss rang me up and asked if I'm willing to work today (Saturday) since the lady podiatrist called in for sick leave. I agree on the 2nd thought when I simply think it as an addtional income coming through. Supposed to meet Marlene earlier on but I just have to tell her to meet the rest of girls later. So woke up in the morning and realised the lady landlord and her bf (or called it her financee) are up too! Oh, so someone is using the bathroom and I just gotta wait for my turn to use it. Seriously speaking, whatever they are doing with the screaming or moaning or tossing on the floor sounds, it is absolutely turning me off. Come on, who doesn't want a peaceful sleep at night. With all these cranky noises would probably lead me having a wet dream - yeah right as if I wish that would happen.
SO someone's boyfriend came out of the bathroom door with a towel wrapped on his lower half of the body. Additionally, he greeted me in THAT manner.....Now here I am not trying to indicate that I am traditionally minded but what do you think of seeing someone semi-naked in the morning? Very big turn off. He's old enough to be called Uncle for sure.
Enough of old semi-naked ah pek story.
I went to City and Paddington with Marlene plus a few other girls too. Such a shame it rain today and stalls (posh) at Paddys gotta close early. I gotta shop less here and to shop more in Singapore! It is certainly an advantage of earning aussie currencies ;p
My shopping checklist in Singapore:
1) DFS
2) contact lens
3) Toiletries
4) Zara
5) 2 bags
6) xxx (undefine) number of shoes
7) Sunnies
8) Nicholas Sparks books
9) Diamond studs for my 2nd ear holes

Fashion Sense
One of my patients likes my dressing today at work. ;p I reckon Donny must be so fed up of hearing me how nice I often dress for work. He always teases me about having fashion shows in the clinic. To me, the art of being able to dress nicely for work produces a huge influence on how you want your patients to look at you. In order to present yourself with a good image, knowing what or what not to wear plays a vital role on that. And of course, this doesn't mean that one has to spend lots of money to look good. Self confident is also another essential element in bringing out your image status.
I'm going Paddington's market this weekend with Marlene and her course mates. This long coming weekend would be nice for me to catch up on some accountant work.
This is the 2nd day I am having chicken caesar from the Macker's deli choices....supposedly it only has 10g of fats in it.
Be back later..

Closer
I wish she would not come closer to me.Am i being nasty here? I believe she has a heart of gold but there isn't anyway that I can tolerate her fickle-minded habit when it comes to shopping. It is mentally exhausing and physically straining to my body. I can't thank her and the boss enough for the hospitality when I first came to Sydney. She's far too well taken care of and too pampered. Somehow I just can't click' with people who don't show the slightest sight of being independent. She told me about getting her brand new Colt and yet she commented that she freaks out on Sydney's traffic. Showing some point of contradiction?Perhaps and most likely yes.
I miss home. I wish I am closer to home and with my friends and more friends! Mom called and said if i want to go China for holiday-WHEE!! Hen's night is well-organised on its way. But first, I need to return to Perth next Sun and meet up with a few good friends, have my hair done and work work work.
Met Marlene last weekend and we had very nice char siew rice (bbq pork). Did abit of grocery shopping and of course, a lot of yakkings. We are going to paddingtons with her friends this long weekend for Sydney's cultural week. Hopefully that would be interesting.

Good Day in Sydney!
Reaching Sydney safe and sound. It's been a month since living and working in Sydney. I must say that my life in Perth is too slack. Now back on working full time mode can be quite tiring. That means no more late nights in front of internet, sleep early, more discipline in my routine than ever. No doubt there are only a few friends that I know of here, it's exciting for me to venture out different places myself on weekends. Driving here is like driving back in Singapore. Driving in Perth is like getting on a cruise mode - so easy peasy.
For sure the weekends is a lot better than in Perth. More shops are open and more places to hang around.
The people whom I am working with is a fantastic bunch of people. At least, the receptionist has a great sense of humour and her firmness towards people make things a lot easier especially handling difficult clients. Boss is great and teaches me a few tricks of trade every now and then.
Will also be taking time out to meet Marlene -who is doing her Msc in Psychology and Sinwee -she's doing her med degree here.
What's new- This 12 year old girl came into the clinic with ingrown toenails. Injected 4 vials of anasthesia which finally got her toes numb. I even forgo my meeting with the accountant as the surgery took almost 2.5hrs to complete. ...real bummer
I'm currently staying in a double storey 3 bedroom house with 2 other girls. I've got my 1st piss session with one of the roommates on the previous wednesday and felt shi**y the next day. Told myself never get piss on weekdays anymore.
2 more weeks back to Singapore and I am sooooooo excited!!
Will write more later...stay tune for roomates, boss, his wife gossips.hurhur!

Grand Finale in Perth
My car and pc will get transported to Sydney first. So no more online till I get my butt there.
Tosani and Diana came over this afternoon with KFC. Fingers sure licking good with original pieces of chook. Di was sweet to offer me a lift to the airport this Sat. To. suggested to have a farewell lunch prior leaving. No doubt I just got to know them, I am certainly touched by their sincerity. Esp Di, I feel that I owe her a big time again.
I was extremely busy today with the packing and errands. To make sure that my housemates would have something to eat, I purposely made a trip to supermarket and cooked dinner for them. I don't mind not charging them for anything and if only they could just shut their mouths just to comment that I got lots of clothes, lots of shoes. It is starting to annoy my ears every now and then. Why? Because it is a constant remark on me. It's so constant that it's putting me off.
Maybe they are suffering from some sour grape syndrome. Sometime being nice doesn't pay......Maybe I should be stone hearted... Also, I got a friend of mine who appears to have always 'hear' wrongly of the things I said. Is either she needs to drain out her impacted ear wax or I have to attend a speech therapy course. I can't stand it when people just don't listen -attentive enough.
Going dinner with Anna and Kel this Friday night. And my ex patient is soo nice to give me a lift to work on Friday. Whee!! *clap clap*
Too tired to continue blogging..... next blog will be from Sydney

How?
My soon to be boss from Sydney rang me and check if I am ready and prepare to go over there for work. Needless to say, I am not overly excited and to me, it's just like moving from house to house. I realise that the boss seems to change his words quite frequently.Initially he offered me to stay at his place (together with his wifey) until I got an accomodation. Now, the table has overturned and he wants me to get a place within the 5 days of stay. At this point, I'm beginning to feel a little queer.Generally, I never feel comfortable to stick with a couple at any situation. VN said his wifey may feel threatened by my chio bu-ness (uhm, pretty?) and that's why she 's probably pretending to whine to husband as to suggest that I need to get out of their house asap. Seriously, I am only interested in earning a decent living and who really cares about her husband.
The idea of snatching her husband is far beyond my intention. Please lor, i rather get a goofy and nerdy dude than him. Morever, I never like men with 'baggage'.(thanks to KH for correcting my grammar and spelling mistakes ;p)
If I am the wifey, don't think I would behave in such a way like her. Then again, KH claimed that I would be like her eventually.*eyes roll up* I used to let my ex bf to do whatever he wants or whoever he goes out with. Really, why worry? He always let me know in advance anyway.

Back on track
Got my PC reformatted and thanks to Di and her bro for their help. To think that I've only know them several weeks and yet they are able to lend me a helping hand without any worries.
I owe them a big time for sure.
Next Sat is the big move and I got so much junks to clear. Si beh sian.......This is the dunno 6th or 7th time I am packing to move within the 5 years in Perth. To also think that I'll be cut off from the virtual world from next thurs makes me more bored stiff. My car will be off to Sydney via train by next Thurs and no more surf surf surf online for at least the next 3 weeks.
More updates later...gonna koon now.

What I saw recently
A granny taxi driver. There is no age limit in terms of when you can stop driving in Western Australia. All the oldies only need to retake a eyesight check and driving test prior renewing their licences. Maybe I should consider taking up the job as taxi driver when i get really old just to earn some cash.Being on pension is just not enough to spend on living.A nice retirement villa already cost about AU 2k a month.
What a sedentary lifestyle on a Saturday. Basically I sleep and eat the whole day. If I wore a pedometer, it would have only show less than 20 steps/day.
Boiled some chicken herbal soup for the housemates and perhaps next weekend, we'll have a yum cha cheesecake session ( it's a trobolone cheesecake made by me of course).
Spoke to Kent on MSN. He claimed that I am a Miss independent with strong character. Aiya how can not be strong when one has to live in overseas for some time. When you're overseas, you learn to be more focused, see things in a bigger pictures, be more patient, learn how to fix or set up electrical applicances, get a good grip on reading road maps, better understanding of your car mechanic problems and learn the art of cooking better food. Hur hur!
But I wish to master the art of changing tyres..... who knows some hunkys need car tyres fixing along the road ;p

"I'm Engaged"
This word constantly keep ringing in my ears recently......
Here are the 'culprits':
Chomp Chomp (a dentist from Melbourne)-finally got to engage the love of his life
CL- a lawyer friend getting hook up with another fellow colleague
Dk- Dr friend who reveals the truth upon my interrogation.
VY- my fav g.f engaging la...since they got the house oreadi
ET- Needless to say, marriage +engagement all at one shot
Better stop here before the list gets longer.
So am i trying to say I am on the panic to hook up with someone? The answer is no. I know where my qualities lie..Self assurance ? Maybe not. It takes a real man with guts to love me for who I am and what I am capable of doing.
Self assessment:
Qualification - 2 BScs
Cooking Skills -checked
Managment skills -checked
Beauty-lies in the eye of beholder
Empathy- as best described (well, most farking guys would actually think I am rather a submissive person instead. Can't you see the difference? Dumb a**)
Why do I have such thinking that it's good to have a nerdy boyfriend so that I wouldn't get much threat from any girls?? Then again, naturally I am attracted to the goofy types..What's wrong with me?

I hate to do this....
I am going back to SG in July for one reason: to attend my best friend's wedding. Firstly, this is my blog and of course I am entitled to release my views and sorrows here rather than being classifed I am bitching against her (let's put her name as EN).
Moreover this would be a bad time to tell the truth while her whole mind is focusing on work and marriage preparation.
EN is one of my best friends. Together with VY, our friendship is as closed as in sistahood. Being friends for more than a decade, our parents knew each other very well and not to mention that we live in the same neighbourhood for years.
EN is currently working in a finance sector for a local bank. She just got started whereby she hopes to acheive a name of her own someday in the banking world. However, she needs to start off by doing sales which simply drives her to high level of stress. That's not the point.
Her soon to be hubby- looks to me a rather well-to-do business man. At least, he is well to do as compared to average household. From my perspective, EN seems to tone down a lot or rather tamed by her fiance. No more happy go lucky EN. She just refused to say much about her inner feelings when asked. I am not sure how much she appreciates that I am returning back to SG just for her wedding. My mom thinks i am nuts plus I have just gone back to SG last March.EN did breifly mentioned that if I am not going back for her wedding, that would probably mark the end of friendship. Am i suppose to take this as a joke or threat?
It really amazes me that all it takes is someone whom she knows for a year to change her personality and characters.
Communication: We try to talk on emails but her reply was always a few sentences. It seems that she lacks of interest to read or reply. Either way which doesn't bothers me. I reckon on the long run, I may give it up on her.It will be too exhausting too keep it up. At least VY emailed and gave me a general ideal of what's happening in her life. And that is what I call communicating.
Now my plan is going to SG and work again. At least for my flight money which I've paid in AU.
In addition, self-sponsored bride's maid dress and shoes need bling too!

"ohh that looks beautiful........."
Yesterday was my last day working in a nursing home. I wore this black punky belt with bullet-punched holes with my brown pants and Esprit white polo tee. Seems all my oldies love it!
I didn't know they would like this sort of uhm- fashion. Pretty surprising indeed. Even one grandma raised up her thumb and agreed with my fashion statement. Couldn't help but I grinned to myself.
Later on, moving to Room 25, this granny asked me:" So do you have a boyfriend?" (know what, this question is soo hot that it became the top of my list for questions asked by grannies/oldies).
I nodded my head and replied :" nope". Grannie replied:" such a shame. I think you are a very pretty lady."
Me:" nah, no one wants me probably (with a humble tone)."
Grannie: " yes, I would think you are a very pretty lady."
I just smiled at her and said :" Thanks Mrs O for your lovely comments. Maybe someday.....have a nice day ahead anyway.."
Went to change one of my car tyres and that goes my Ka-ching! Boss rang yesterday and he just wanna make sure that I am confirming to go to Sydney ;p

Fruitful Saturday Not
As usual, when it's not a working day, I tend to sleep in a bit more till 10am. After finished washing up, had my late breakfast and logged online. Geez, certainly I need more life than that. Saw FF (another fellow blogger) online and she told me her main attraction is drinking hoegarden. Next Eliza was online for a short while. I decided to intro Eliza to Gene via MSN ;p
The outcome was ok which at least, both of them are able to talk without any hindrance or I should say with my presence. I should get a private matchmaker company registered as my weekend business. After all, staring the feet all weekdays can get quite bored. Hurhur!
Potential match making business in Singapore? Possibility is there. After all, the SDU can't be the only one handle all da singles population.
Don't know why I am just enjoying myself introducing friends to one another. However I have absolutely no intention of hoping friends to get hook up with one another eventually. In simple terms, I am just helping to widen the social circle aspect. Morever, I don't see it as a bad thing after all.
Supposed to go out with Pip and a bunch of aussie dudes but it was cancelled at the last min. Instead, I went out with Kelvin doing power walk (meaning "walking fast") for about an hour plus at the South Perth Park. On the contrary, I had a nice but fattening DIY pancakes for dinner.Maybe I should do more power walk tomorrow or else I am gonna be a fat bridesmaid in June.
TV sux tonight with the English Royal wedding on almost every channel. Give me a break......... that leaves me no choice but to stay online.

FISH
While I was driving along the road, the thought of Yu-ming (fish -his nick) came across my mind. Yu ming was studying dentistry in Arizona right about the same time when I came over to Perth for podiatry study. We used to talk quite a lot online where he even helped me to look for a good anatomy website as my anatomy did sux at that time. Almost every christmas, I'll be at his place for christmas celebration. We , of course, can't take our hands off majong session. I do missed him as my very dear friend. I believe if he is still alive today, we would still be very good friends. Just spoken to Naomi and hopefully she can find out where yuming's tomb is. I just know that I need to pay him a visit in anyway possible when I am back in SG at the end of June.
Shan2 just got an email add for me. It was an email belong to a long lost friend of mine. Just realised that he is working together in the same department with Shan2. I am contemplating whether to email him or not. We used to be quite good friends..... Yeap we did went out but I haven't had the slighest idea that he had a g.f at that time. Neither nor I was interested in knowing. His g.f found out that we plus another friend had a farewell dinner (prior leaving australia at that time ), she was fuming and threatening to break off with my friend. Ever since, our friendship just 'died'.
This is probably where I developed the phobia of going out with guys who didn't tell me about their girlfriends' existence. And therefore, I always insist the guys to let their g.fs know if he is coming out with me. This is all being open and honest in a relationship and also not forgetting to treat each other with respect. Likewise, if my (future) b.f wants to go with some girl pals, that's fine as long as he tells me about it. I always believe if you really like that person, you gotta set him free without worries.

Crossed
One of my vietnamese friends is getting married on the day which I'll be leaving for Sydney. I feel really bad if I can't attend his wedding. He has been a great help especially during my uni days. I am so crossed in the sense that should I pay extra money to change the flight?*sigh*
I supposed he would feel disappointed coz I know if it's my wedding, I would feel the same too.
Spent the whole day running errands: Got my street directory of Sydney (it's a big big place with many suburbs), sorted out my flight to Singapore at the end of June, bought some chinese herbal stuffs, and more to come...have to book for car service, change my car tyres, and buying another ticket from Sydney to Perth...
I intend to colour my hair..black. Wanna stay original on my hair colour which I;ve decided ;>

Happiness
Happiness means be able to spend good quality time with friends and family ; Driving at 110km/hr along deserted road and sightsee at the same time;Listening to Retro and dance my heart out; Seeing my patients getting better or at least making an improvement on their conditions after treatment; Cuddling a dog; Reading any books by Nicholas Sparks; Running - it always have been part of me; Receiving cheques; Having my pimples reduced on my cheeks; Doing facial/massage; Being online; Having successful sellout of stuffs on ebay; Shoe shopping; Having a good o' pint of Stella Aortis or Hoegarden; Rattling rubbish with my msn pals...
Right now I am talking to Kurdt - a current 5th year medical student who just showed me his ciao mugging pic; Shan - in her early 20s who is sending me a korean song called gentle rain; Kaisheng - who is on-call at a hospital in the west is chit chatting with 4 people at the same time and that's amazing what kind of shift he is getting.
So what does happiness means to U?

Sunday's treat
Was raining heavily on Friday night but the girls still decided to go Harbourtown for late night shopping. Guilty me cannot resists buying 5 tops for less than 20 bucks. Good deal hey. I know I shouldn't buy so much stuffs as I am relocating pretty soon. Sigh*
Saturday was so bored as usual. Weather was not that fantastic till Cara sms-ed me to ask if I wanna go Relay for life to volunteer as a podiatrist to treat people's sore feet after the runs. Relay for life is an annual event whereby people just keep running continuously for 24 hours (of course, they take turns to do that) on track as part of fundraising on cancer foundation.
Massage and facial are sunday's treat. But this China aunty really can massage very hard on my body and till now, I am still aching all over. I never felt so much that I had to endure that high level of pain.
Met some of my classmates earlier on at a pub. The strange thing is...only one person orders a coke and the rest are not drinking. I do feel like buying a pint and then again, what's the point of buying it since the rest looks as if they are on some 'financial burden'. Whatever, that generally turns me off from buying any drinks which I rather to drink my Fosters at home. I can't also imagine how contented my classmates can be by working nurses homes and senior citizens. I would say they are the worst jobs - it kinda screw up your back on long run with too much bending down and reaching their toes...grrr.
Freda's aunty was nice to speak to me about tips leaving in Sydney and car transport matters. Indirectly that reminds me of a g.f of mine who can't forget about G. I hope Ah Jxx will be strong and move on. It's better off this way than having yourself trapped on some shameless dudes. Tell me where is that brain-washed machine.......

Daily grinder(s)
Went to Northam today with Pip to work at a nursing home. *EEKS* No, I don't feel any excitment working in palliative area. That's why I've bought a ticket to Sydney and planned to relocate in May to work for a friend's private practice. Not sure why but I am not particularly over-excited as compared to the first time I arrived in Perth. There are still a number of things that I have to do prior moving though.
Sub-grinders:
1) Knn that Dark- blue Lancer Asian driver who deliberately blocked my view that I can't turn my car on the right. Oh did I mention that he is from Curtin Uni.
2) This elderly folk refused to let me cut her nails on her left foot after I managed her right one. Fine by me......plus she tried to hit me! Violent grandma on the alert mode....
3) Rea from Hungary was soo sweet. She bought me a ultra sexy rose pink top from MNG.Plus it was sent via registered post as a prezzie for my b'day. ;p VN also sent me a sexy top from SUPRE with lotsa glitter beads on the v-neck halter. If only my perfect accessory is Mr 'Hunky' to go along. Don't think if it ever exists in the first place.
4) JT has been really encouraging and totally supporting my decision to Syd over da email. So sweet of him..... VN can't wait for me to get my butt to eastern side. Vien also agreed with the moving for the reason being work exposure.
Suddenly the thought of having char kway tiao and satay come into my mind..... i miss home!

Easter Vigil
Long easter break in Perth = higher chance of becoming a couched potato. This dullsillive is getting on my nerves. Like what my dentist g.f said, move over to the Eastern state where all the actions are. Went over to D's place to play dia dee and was great to see Wei/Tos playing it well. Slacked the whole of Saturday except did some readings on foot journals. Then again, that wasn't really ..uhm..happening. Just came back from a cycling trip and got a few mild bruises induced from F - Miss Bicycle Accident Prone. Learnt my lesson not to stand so close to her just in case the history repeats itself. Guess her temperature must be on the rise if she ever reads this. It's the truth.
Gonna do a movie marathon (3 movies) tonight with the girls and one dude.1st show will start at 11.30pm and I should be home by 7am. Whoppie! Better off than watching the aussie Teevee which generally sux on weekends and public holiday.
Was chatting with Mr France yesterday. So strange when he typed in his French English like this:" what's wrong with you and the men? You are bubbly, jovial and easy going."
By the way, Mr France is already taken by Slyvie. I chose my reply to be:" Most guys are too coward - to approach or break the ice. I guess something is wrong with them and not me.As far as I know, I am just being..me." From there, Mr France reassured me that the right guy will come along eventually and that goes the same for Kurdt who said exactly the same thing. It's nice to see how my friends are expressing their concerns on me.
Told Pa and Ma about my plans to relocate to Sydney. Not much comments from them except Dad wants me to go back in another year's time. Uhm................we shall see then.
Diana Krall's concert is coming on the 8th April. Should I or not?

Bitc*
I went to the Perth Local Court to submit my forms today. Now all I have to do is to sit back and relax for previous owner to respond. She even has the guts to ask me to wash the carport stains. Hello, I've left the house since 2 months ago. Who knows which TOM, DICK, HARRY parked the car with their engine oil leaking. Morever, doesn't she understand that it's normal to have a bit of oil leak from the car. Indirectly from the engine and perhaps, can be resulted from the cooler that drips onto the engine. What actually piss me off is this under-go training bitc* who missed calling my number and in the end, the person after me actually got ahead of me first. What? Sorry? Thank goodness I didn't get a carpark fine and if not, I'll definitely write a letter of complaint and you can kiss ya job goodbye. Aussie has such a poor standard of being efficient. This observation come from my years of staying in Aust and when it comes to servicing the customers, it's definitely heading the last position.
Perth's weather shot up to 41.9 degree celsius....... So ultimate hot that I didn't even feel like eating lunch. Worked at the women's prison today... Didn't kinda like the place ;(

Am I missing something?
It's been a week since I am back from Singapore. Work has been quite fairly easy and the worst is working in nursing homes. It just somehow makes you reflect that another few more decades down the road, you would probably end up stiffen in bed, suffering from certain level of immobility, leg/s emputated due to lower limb complication or speech difficulty. sigh*
I don't get the challenge and definitely no sense of satisfaction unlike those I've worked in Singapore.
On the miracle side, J rang me and offered me a position in his private practice in Castle Hill, Sydney. Few days later, he rang again and asked if I wanna take over the job at Hospital Hornsby. Well, after staying in Perth for close to 5 years, I reckon it's about time to make a move to greener pasture.
-By the way, Straits time is charging an online subscription! WTF*** Who the hell will do that and now that goes my regular website.
Went on a cycling trip from my place to the city last Sunday. The whole journey took abut 45 mins one way. Weather was absolutely beautiful with cool breeze. While waiting for the rest of the folks for an indian veg buffet, F and myself decided to get an ice-cream. This uncle asked if we are singaporeans and it's always nice to meet the locals overseas. Give us extra toppings with larger scoops ;p The best is he manages a perth budget stay deal. That will come in handy for sure.

Recap on last Friday
After meeting Yvoone, all of us took a train down to City hall while Wen went over to Kembangan to meet her friends. Vone and myself are supposed to meet a group of healthcare worker. Anyway, we met up and had dinner at BakersInn. It was great catching up with everyone and especially Shanshan. However, shan2 had to rush off for her night duty at SGH. Nevertheless, we finally met!Had a good chat with Edwin, Shan and Azmi too.
It was 9pm that we had to depart coz vone and myself gotta meet another group of my g.fs+partners+more friends at Balaclava. I think I am totally underdressed. Not saying that I am in my knickers but the dressing for that day looks totally casual and unglamour.Just think that I am wearing this Esprit white tank top with a seablue chequered skirt and mesh sequine white slip ons.Oh, and a simple pony tail...
Fantastic time dunking hoegarden with all da friends (around more than 10 of them)...Met up with D as well with his mates. Got introduced to J .It was quite surprising to see J coz i used to work with him in the same hospital ages ago. Vone treated me burbeon coke and topshell-VERY YUMMY. After makaning , we move on to get a place to stand. As you can tell how popular bala is.Happened tat J is around so basically we just started rattling rubbish about operating theatres and anasthesia.
Later on, one big fat ugly angmog( much guessed as a British from his accent) asked if I want a drink. I declined his offer politely. The next thing is he started raising his voice like this :" come on! what's wrong!?"Obviously, I was almost being irritated to the max so I held onto J's arm and hopefully he will leave me alone. But no, he went on and yelled:" oh that's your g.f, you should give her a big kiss!." I rolled up my eyes for a moment. What an idoitic pig headed man. Hugged J and D as they are leaving Bala. Went back to look for my friends and met up with Eugene who gave me $50 bucks cash as my b'day pressie. "go get yourself a nice dress"-that's what he said.Whoopie! Annie was being plain naughty that she used my phone to sms my ex. Anyway, don't think he would ever find out. So what if he did...
Went to a church wedding on Saturday- my last day in Singapore. Was honoured to spend it with Naomi. Haven't seen this friend of mine who met her husband at a special school education teacher. She can ever be so patience towards the disabled ppl. Saw their personal lives video prior ceremony....it was really amazing to witness how two different human beings are able to merge their lives into one.
Spent the rest of the night resting and getting ready to depart for Perth again.

More blogs from Singapore
I haven't met KH for at least 5 years or so. Finally, after talking so much over the icq, we met at OLIO @Suntec. Seriously, I don't even have the slightest idea of where Olio is. KH was gentlemanly enough to gimme a treat. Think I deserve it and after all, I am always cracking my small brain on giving suggestions or helping him to make plans for his g.f.
Last Thursday was my last day at work. The clerk said she will miss my presence around. The assistance nurse is nice to buy me fruits after lunch. Went up to the ward where I used to be a nurse and bid farewell to the nursing officer. I manage to feed the baby guppies before I left the clinic. Met up with JT after work coz he's on call on Sat.*sigh* He was nice enough to bring me to Holland V for dinner as requested. I can't ask for more...
In fact, some patients also asked me why I am not staying longer....talking about patients always make my heart go weak. Patients (can be nasty or not) are the ones who keep me up and out in the morning..No matter how tired I am.
Recap bus stop incident:
How can Singaporeans being so not empathic? There is this old man coming up to the bus and yet no one let him have a seat. Can't afford to continue to watch such ugly scene, I simply just pointed to that auntie and told the uncle to sit there. Of course, that auntie gave up her seat for the old man almost immediately. Come on, is it necessary for her to consider that long to give up the seat for the needy? Some people...
What's happening on the last Friday
Thank goodness. I got a chance to sleep in till late. I am so lacking of sleep and that explained my big panda eyes that refuses to go away. Met up with Vien and took a train to Raffles to meet Annie for lunch. Haven't seen Annie for donkey years and she looked great and yakking quickly as ever. Raffles MRT has changed so much..... Then, Vien and myself went Orchard for shopping therapy. Bought books, shoes and clothes......bad girl.
Around....
gonna sleep.

Continuation on blog from Singapore
I think working in Singapore can be quite hectic. Besides working the usual 5 days from 8.30-5.30pm, I would only get a chance to meet friends after work. My philosophy is to make use of the opportunity to earn $ while still young. Of course, I wouldn't want to grow old and live in poverty.
So glad to catch up with friends again here and there. Uhm..I have to admit that I still got a small portion that I haven't catch up yet.
Meeting up with Zena was lovely just before she returned to Uk to finish her med degree. It's funny how we met up initially was in Perth, then in Singapore and hopefully, London will be our next meeting place. Esther and Dan were my nursing buddies - how can i ever be thankful for their friendship and generousity. Dan bought me a pair of Swaovsky(dunno how to spell) earrings while Esther got me some italian brand toiletries with a BOND CD for my birthday. Also went out with Wen and Lyn on my b'day night to Indochin -quite a cool jazzy place. The strawberry daquari was kinda strong though.
Jess bought me Turkish lunch at Eastpoint.Gosh, think we had an over-dosed of chicken meals that day.Beri and Susan planned a surprise b'day pinic for me at East Coast. Very very sweet of them to bring a bottle of wine, more bbq chicken +chip = quite a fatty meal. The b'day bonous was a OSIM eyecare massager.*lol* Eugene was more direct. He gave me cash and asked to buy a dress myself ;p
I had a good time spent with JT. The night before I left for Hongkong, we went out for dinner+pool at Chinese swimming club after work. Uh, it's amazing how many familar faces you can bump into. Firstly, it's the medical secretary to his sec friend and a cardio reg.Again, I enjoyed the pool session best and no doubt I am not so good in it.
Be back later....

Blog from Singapore
It's been 2 weeks since I am back in Singapore. Things have been going pretty well except for the hot and humid weather. The best thing is meeting up with lotsa friends that I've not catch up for the past 2 years or so. In fact, at this moment, I am running out of time to meet more friends. Sure enough, the nightlife in Singapore is still the best which can't be compared to Perth at all. Met up with all the relatives on mom's side (including the cousins in M'sia)and I was given a nice prata mamak treat from my cousins. Since they bought a new car in M'sia, we managed to go Kulai for quickie shopping before returning home to Singapore. What a shame that I didn't manage to stay longer enough at Cousin Ling's place :<
Met up with JT for movie and dinner. Sigh* How can JT don't have a g.f? Sometimes I wonder coz he is always so patience and good matured in character.Of course, had a dinner meet up with my sistas and ET at Lao Beijing resturant followed by Chinajump. That jump place is filled with too many ang mohs but as long as there is free flow of drinks-who really cares anyway.
Later of the week, g.fs and some dudes decided to go to Balaclava for drinks. Uhm, think we over-drank till I am so "seh" or "nua" the next day. I guess E is very happy when it comes to drinking. She appeared to be more relax and smiling after a couple of rounds. W is really sweet to send me to work almost everyday. It's a good chance for us to communicate while going off to work together.
Beri and susan- my 2 sports buddies had a up close and personal cable car dinner.........
to be continued. I am off work!! Don't want to OT for nothing.
