Life is not just overcoming one hurdle.

Sunday:

Woke up in the late morning to meet Deepa for Bridget Jones movie. For those who haven't watched, the ending is Bridget married Mr Darcy *lol*Come and kill me then, readers ;p
Had korean BBQ chicken for late lunch and cocktails in the evening. This cocktail called Japanese Slipper whereby it consists of Midori, pineapple, lemon and dunno what else. To think about it, I had this Valention Blue which I reckon it's one of the best and soothing drink for me.
Unfornately Anna can't come along for that day as one of her close family friends is really sick at the hospital.
Watched Australia Idol finale!! Casey is the winner as I've guessed it earlier on.

Today:
Suddenly I feel my world is filled with some ultimate sad people. Spoke to Anna on MSN this afternoon and she told me she feels shitty at work. Lack of concentration the whole day because of the bad news on the family friend.
On the lighter note, I hope Eli would try to refrain herself to compare her other friends. There is a chinese saying :" Ren Pi Ren , Qi Si Ren." Direct translation is the more you compare, the more frustration builds onto you.I don't see the objective of why people wanna compare. Ocassionaly/Casual comparison is not too bad which can act as a source of motivation to produce better results for one self. As for Eli's case, I find her taking comparisions far off too seriously. That's why it backfired and caused more sadness which probably will sink into depression if she doesn't cope well.
F is another g.f of mine who just recently broke up with her b.f. In fact, she should have ditched him much earlier on. No doubt she is a nice g.f to me, but I wish her life is less screwed. I can't say or comment much as this will only hurt one's feelings. There are a lot of times I wish she would think before she act. For instance, going out with a dude with kids on the verge of seperation. Just because his (ex)-wifey has a b.f and it's ok for him to have a g.f too. From my point of view, the ex wifey is being a dumb to get herself into this. And so, my g.f shouldn't have agreed follow the "blind". I understand my g.f's love for the kids but I am not sure what kind of hopes is my g.f pinning on that dude.....

Thank goodness for blog where I can just vomit everything which can't be said it out.

Money Saver

Drove to Mandura yesterday to work at a senior citizen's centre. Time taken to reach there approximately an hour or so. Quite fun driving to places which I've never been before. Mandura is more a place for the retirees to stay and big big expensive houses cost like 400,000AUST. On my way back, there is this forest bush fire along the freeway (highway as you call it in Singapore). Driving through a thick misty fog of smoke along the freeway was kinda....excited. *lol* Thank goodness I manage to make it through the freeway before it shut down to prevent danger threats to vehicle drivers.

Went online yesterday and signed up for money savers with Citibank. Who can resists a 5.4% interest rate? Can't wait to submit my application but first, must get my dentist babe to be my referee. So all i need is to dump some money into my account every month and it's well-worth it rather than put the bling into the normal savings account.

Donny left for singapore yesterday and gonna meet Deepa (from Adelaide) and Anna for bridget jones movie. As for today.....perhaps I should go to the mall and chill out. And perhaps, going for a jog later if I am not being a lazy bum.

Full on my tum tum

Donny from Brissy came to Perth for a short holi cum visiting his cousin for almost a week. He is certainly a real 'housemaid' where he is indeed excellent in cooking and household chores. In fact, for my past few days' dinner is usually settled at his cousin's place. Too much good food and I am beginning to notice my waistline starts to wobble again. Then again, D is taken up by his Swiss b.f. So that goes off for another domestic potential partner for the guys out there. Dinner menu on Monday is yong tau fu, Tuesday is Mexican Tacos and Tortilla with tomato soup and as for today was pumpkin soup, Russian Salad plus honey baked chicken. *burp* Feels really happy to have friends/visitors coming to Perth. D and myself did a session of Karaoke and more shopping to come.

Recap on last Saturday:
Meet up with a few peeps from Virtualtourist.com. The main icons of that night were Deepa - a finance consultant orignate from Malaysia but travelling around Australia for work. Kelvin is a final year psychology student. Grins* He thought I was only 21. Guess the beauty products do have an enormous effect on my face ;p Together with Anna, all of us had a great night out with yummy food and partee @Metros. Dancing with Deepa was like *wow, she's a hot mama along with her various sexy movements. I bet Kel was trying not to perspire too much if he can. Fantastic nightout I must say. Keep in view to meet on this Friday for more drinking session.

Sunday:

Gone crazy with the cycling trip where we started to ride from my place to the cotteslow beach. Took us about about an hour more to get there. Of course, first thing is to jump into the seawater for a dip. Phew. NO sore quadriceps this time. I was still kinda tired from recuperating NOT enough on Metro's post nightout.

Career path

Went to Foothills suburb to watch my fellow colleague Cara to perform a nail surgery on this adolescent boy. Quite fun to see how the nail being partially 'ripped' off due to in grown (think the side of the nail starts digging in instead of growing straight). And also Cara was nice to let me to inject some local anasthetics on her skinny big toe. Can't wait to get my own nail surgery set so that I can start on some prisoners. *wide grin*

C is going to UK to work next April *sob sob* I wish I can follow her!! To come to think of it. I've planned to stay one more year in Australia (till end of 2005) before going back SG. In fact, within the one year, it doesn't really matter where I am. Quite tempting to go Uk and work even for 4-6 months. As one knows how expensive travelling in UK/Europe can be. Indeed, my job allows me to travel anywhere possible. Perhaps, I'll think about it after I get my permanent residency.

Christmas is coming! The best part of Christmas isn't on that day itself. It's the wrapping up gifts for friends' part. Ha ha! I've got 3 Xmas present to wrap and I reckon........there will be about 5 more to come. Think I can be Miss Santa judging from my generosity. MUHAHAHA.
Going to cook dinner before suffering from hypoglycaemia.

Denium Skirt

Went to the mall and I tried on this short A-line denium skirt which costs only $15. Should I buy or not?
If I buy it means I gotta watch how I sit or not even taking a bus in Singapore. But I like it coz it fits well on moi.

Decisions decisions decisions ......gurrrrls.....*eyes roll up*

Can't wait for cycling trip again this Sunday. Feel like a putting bubble wrap on the seat so that i'll not suffer from butt pain again.

Talking to my bro now. He just got to know a new friend (he claimed that girl look like Belinda Lee. God knows who she is since I've been away from home for so long) working as a hairstylist. Tee hee, at least I know someone can revamp my hair at a discount rate. I am quite tempting to cut my hair to chin-length bob.

Belgium Chocs

I am falling in love with the shell-shaped chocs. uh oh, just can't stop eating. Worked half a day today and nothing else. Slept through the whole afternoon and god knows why I am so tired. Rainy weather and sunshine at the same time which can literally drive someone's mood to sink into the bed (that's me!). Chatted with bro last night on MSN and hope that he can get me a Ministry of Sound album chillout session 6. Teehee.

6 more weeks to Christmas. I've managed to get a list of people for Xmas gifts. Donny will be coming to Perth end of this week! I just can't wait for his arrival and paint the town red. Dying for a karaoke session and Hip-E club on next Tue.
Meanwhile, I am checking the flight rates of going to Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra with Mom for next year. And again, I can't wait for my holidays to come.
Other places to venture in 2005 includes: Darwin (Northern Territory) and Cairns. See, that's where most of my $ go to. But I know it's worth it in the end.

X'mas wish list:
1) set of roxy bikinis
2) USB with MP3 player
3) MAC/Bobbi Brown/Prescriptive Makeup
4) SPA treats
5) Rxxxx watch
6) A pair of Levis

.............better stop now just in case the list gets longer.

Changed BlogSkin

This is just a testing testing of my new skin. Not sure how to enlarge those fonts but I'll work that out tomorrow.

I missed home a lot recently. Missing my lovie g.fs, parents, and I managed to talk to Linda (from my sec school) recently on MSN which was a great feeling! It's been such a long time that we managed to catch up at all. Thanks to Shuming and this young lady is going to be a bride in coming December! Whee!

Working through almost middle of November already! Hopefully by this time of next year, I'll be packing my stuffs and head back to SG.

Gave KH a few tips on how to spend his time with g.f while holidaying in SG. See, any one who ever be my boyfriend can never get bored. *grinning* I am someone who can't simply stay still and do nothing.

Why do I always cry on shows like Dr Phil, Oprah, advertisements on donation to the poors or any touchy moments on TV?? *grrr* I sounded like a 'jelly'. So weak and vulnerable that I am going to get 'smashed' at any time. BUT hey, my favourite type of shows (beside Queer eye for the straight guy) are often CSI and Law &Order. Solving mysteries , forensic science for evidence based and powerful speaking from the attorneys.

Butt Pain

I had a fantastic cycling trip riding organised by Freda. Joining us on the trip includes Micheal (F's fencing instructor) and Tracy (F' s friend). We started off at the uni and the ride continued all the way to South Perth, and up on the bridge towards the city , passed by the Swan bell towers, and towards Causeway. Lunch break was at Hungry Jacks and of course, we had a fair share of jokes and rubbish talks. Then we proceeded to send T off home where we had to ride back to the uni and also had a rest at my place before we head back to M's place. Freda wanna learn rollerblading from M. In fact, she has done pretty well as she can now serving drinks to us wearing the blades. Good on her! Nursing with ice on a bruise located on my shin coz I hit on the trailer which I didn't notice initially. No more pretty with a patch of black zone now......

After that, it's back to Freda's place so that I can pick up my car. Gosh* I have been on the bike since 9am till 4pm. My a** is soo sore ;<>

On the 2nd part of this blog, I have been told on 3 consecutive days by a different person that "I need or I should have a b.f ." Is that a sign that my life is getting too lame or bored for others to even see through? In fact, I am not opening up my feelings as easily as before........too insecure perhaps.

Accused

While waiting for the next client to come, I recalled boss said I didn't do a good job on a previous patient. To recap, he claimed that I didn't treated her corn on her right 5th toe properly which eventually leads to a small ulcer formation. So I decided to pull out her file and have a read.
Guess what? She came in each time complaining of sore 5th toe plus the previous pod (and myself) has given her some protector to wear on the toe in order to prevent excessive friction/pressure on the area itself. Whether she wears it faithfully or not, she would know best herself. Anyway, I felt that the boss is 'accusing' me of not being competent enough to treat such basic stuffs like CORN. He would want me to demonstrate my basics well enough that I may start getting initial consultations on the patient.
Here I am dying to learn from my mistakes and yet I wasn't given enough opportunites to do so.
I am getting a bit restless each time when I step into the clinic...........not happy ;o(

Working tomorrow at the 'pigsty's ' senior centre tomorrow. Gross..........

Bedtime

I need to be more discipline and no more getting in bed at late hours!Bleah* Feel so dreadful going to work in the morning. The receptionist didn't ring me the day before that the 1st client is arriving at 8.40am instead of 8am. So I was there exceptionally early and hang around the clinic reading a book till the client arrived. How bored can it be. Confronted the boss to let me have more patients for initial consultations. Then again, he seemed to be quite reluctant. He expects me in the sense that to prove to him that clients want to see me more often on their consecutive treatments. And I commented that the majority of the clients I've seen are elderly folks with continuing palliative nail care treatments only. Also, I stressed on the importance of getting experiences from seeing a variety of clients and expand my knowledge from there if possible. He sounded so unconvinced where he wanted me to 'master' the basic of nail care and even came up with an example of me not dealing well with a corn on the patient.
What/when exactly is the' right 'way to learn?
I can't possibly wait till the patients to indicate to see me for next follow ups. I can understand why he refused to give me any patients which just in case I screw up along the way and patients never come back again.
If that's the case, I can never get a chance to learn. Perhaps it's time to say good bye once the contracts end in March. Just can't wait for now...........

Crappy day: long distance's drive to the prison, headache, neck pain, lethargic

Holiday

I am so looking forward for a decent break. After finishing my 2nd degree in June and jumping straight to full time working, a distress 'signal' seems to be hitting on my mind lately. A nice one week gateaway would be lovely to escape from work and PERTH.
Mom rang me this afternoon saying that my whole family may be coming over for this coming Christmas holiday.Whoopie, that means I probably can do a short trip with family to Kalgoorlie (approx 500++ kms East of Perth).

On the other hand, I am looking for another new job in a private practice if possible. The private clinic which I am working doesn't give me much job satisfaction and seriously, I am learning 'inadequately'. Basically my objectives are not met after having to work there for more than half a year. No surgery clients, no inital consultation (prob like 2-3 so far) and only elderly folks for me.
Don't feel a sense of challenge going on. Moreover, still must wear uniforms. I must stress at this point that I am only working in a small private practice and not a large medical centre. I don't see the rationale of wearing uniforms. There are only 2 podiatrists there (boss and myself) where we don't work at the same time. And still, I got to wear this 'factory outlet lookalike' 3/4 sleeved working check dark blue shirt while receptionist wears a light blue check shirt. In fact, the colour tone doesn't make any difference to me. Such a waste of money. On the other hand, the clinic has this pressure mat to determine which part of your foot indicated the highest pressure. I am not sure how crucial is this piece of information is going to help in the diagnosis. I rather chose to record a person's gait and analyzes it over a slow motion mode. Hence, this will also be able to produce a general overview of the alignment of whole body. The hallway at the clinic isn't that fantastic either Hence, that makes it even harder to observe a person's gait at a lesser distance.

One sickening boss has been owning me some pay since August till now. Confronted by his secretary today that she will remind him again about the pay. She gave the 'excuses' that he is out of the country and so? That's none of my business and all i care is to pay my rent on time and not suffering from hunger. If I didn't get my cheque by this week, I am going to march into his clinic and demand for it. Shame on him being the president of xxx. Not going too much details but he just annoys me so much. All I can say is he is spoiling his own image or perhaps he doesn't even care for a small 'fry' like me. Thank goodness I didn't work for him for long or else I just have to live on maggie mee with an egg everyday.

Any ideas of getting back my pay are more than welcome on the tagboard.

Dirty, Unorganized, Simply disgusting

I offered to help one of my friends doing a session's work at a senior citizen's place. The moment I stepped into the clinic, I couldn't help to clean up with the trays lying all over and not cleaned, instruments cleaned partly only and dust, used cups, bottles not recap after used, floor *gosh* filled with nails bits and dead skins. The place is *UCKING horrible and such an incondusive enviroment to work at.

To think the girls would do a better job but well, I've got no comments at all. I just did my best and cleaned up the bloody mess. The end.

At last, this makes me feel a lot better to continue my work with patients.

Took some anti-hitamines tablets...getting high' for now...

Investments

No work at private pratice today. So that would leave me half a day's job at the prison. This is another prison which I'll be working once every month. Guess what, finally I got to treat one of the worst feet that I ever come across. NO predjuces or racists against any ethnicity or culture. This prisoner X, an aboriginal from the bush never cut his toenails before and suffering from a really bad foot hygience and odour +++. On the verge of puking? All I can say is I could have ask for a high filtrate mask. Not bad seeing 10-12 patients for 3 hours session.
Actually, I feel that treating prisoners are no different to treating any clients except there may be a boundry in our conversations where I will communicate or explain their foot problems and nothing else personal. Getting this sort of contract work has taught me to be sensitive and empathic towards others. It is also my concern that they get the best foot treatment whenever possible. One of my pod friends advised me that don't bother to chat with them. Then again, at least, they still have the right to know what is going on with their feet and learn about the treatment options avalible .

Seen a Dr yesterday for my block nose. Dr wrote me a script of Augmentin just in case I get worst over the weekends and need something to relieve. Ah HUH. I bought a pack of sudafed. At least it helped but makes me super groggy. 2 tabs I'll be in bed in less than 15mins time.
Petrol prices hitting up over a dollar per litre now. *sian*
Right now I am looking into this website to see if anything is worth to invest on. I do realise that keeping money in the bank is not the solution for money growth.

Spit!

That's how thick my green phelgm is...Don't get too digusted. My nose is so blocked and painful at the tip of it. Probably allergic to the Australian air at the moment.

Perth is celebrating Senior Citizen's week. The senior place where I worked today was filled with lots of older folks (of course!) having fun with the games plus luncheon/tea as organised by the committee of shire. I also wanna grow old gracefully! Heh, growing old to the extent that I am still able to walk and see which I'll be more than happy. I had this old lady coming in presenting with evidence of sand dirt on her feet. She still has the cheeks to tell me that she is not wearing shoes during gardening. After noticing a few spot of bruises on her feet, I pressured on those sites and she obviously said it was sore. There you go, the rewards for not wearing shoes. DUH* What a crap of the day.

The health recruitment agency from Singapore sent me an email for the post of podiatrist. Well, no harm giving it a try and I have sent the CV over. Shall see how it goes. Salary is negotiable but only 21 days of leave ;<>

Wah, so impressive that KH managed to send me his darling (real) pic to me..Thanks for the effort! I wanted to give you a reward but you just had to reject it anyway ;p Yes yes I got the hint. Bleah*

Law Breakers

It's been quite a while since I've last update my blog. Been quite busy working and resting.Started my new prison contract and I truly enjoy treating the law breakers. Either you love it or hate it. It was quite daunting for me but that fearness went as soon as I call the 1st prisoner into the consultation room.
**Note to self:
How can I not spend time for exercising?! Bugger that.

Here's the recap of what's happening:

Saturday: WA Podiatry conference.
Where all the foot practitioners gather together to attend talks and exhibitions by various drug companies and also not forgetting the foot salesmen. Yay* Get half price for shoes only for podiatrists . Met lots of people and particularly someone which I can't be bothered to even associate myself. He hasn't bloody pay me for the 10 clients which I hate the idea putting pig's head in front of his clinic.*sigh* If only I got $ to hire a loanshark ;p Otherwise, got heaps of freebies of chocs and foot moisturiser.

Sunday: Bum around with Anna in the city *yawns*

Going to disconnect.....more later..

I feel the earth movvvvved.....

If you are a retro babe like me, you know know the title of this song.
Oh I survived today..yippee* Totally exhausted running 5 places all in one day.

Singapore recruitment agency emailed me and asked if I wanna work in Singapore. Well, somehow, I feel very strongly I need another year of experience for my career..Very crucial part and of course, who doesn't want the patients to be at their best.
Recovery

Finally, after a bout of sore throat and serious blocked nose, I am finally getting better. Think my body just need recuperate periods after being so sick for the past few weeks.
Louis, my SQ steward friend flew in to Perth last Saturday. To think that we'll never meet again or suppose to meet in Melbourne because that is the place where he's doing his degree, we did in the end. Heh, thanks to him for helping me to bring stuffs from my parents. We had a ball of time going to city tour, king's park, checking Hot dudes at the beach together and shopping. Uh oh, I bought more glitter tops which I shouldn't spend more money unnecessarily. Girls.....*eyes roll up*

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Half a day at senior centre and after that will be running to several places to get my stocks. *dreads* plus, grocery shopping pehaps on Tuesday. Tomorrow is gonna be 29 degrees celsius. Brillant weather not to be missed for my power walk because the following few days, the weather will change to early 20s.

Need a rest again....heh, even though I had a 3 hour nap this arvo.

Steriods

Feeling much better after seeing the Dr on last Monday plus, she gave me Prednisolone tabs for free.Prior to that, I actually breifly mentioned that I was going to be broke soon spending money on anti-histamines which doesn't work well on me. Geez, it's been a long time I felt this sick....just think having asthma without wheezing. My previous weekends has had been spent resting at home and no crowded/smoking places.

In the meantime, I have sorted out my paper works with the prisons and done my homework on where to get the best deal for medical supplies. Also running to the chemist so that she can make up a mixture or paste of salicylic acid in 60% concentration. A bit tiring along the way but I hope it's all worth it.

I am so in love with the glitter tops nowadays. Planning to get 2 more and also don't know why I am so fascinated by glitter beads. In fact, anything that shines like a disco ball. Minstry of sound event coming to Metro on the 29th OCt with the ticket price is $63.00+. Who to go with......that's what I always ask myself. Too dangerous to go alone because of the higher incidence of spiking drinks here. *sigh* think I would rather get the MOS chillout session 6.

Mr B came in for a routine podiatry visit last Wed. He's quite a nice veteran and never fails to mention that I should be a foot surgeon for each visit. *lol* Well, my main interest is still in diabetic foot care and wish I could get a better grip to learn more techniques of healing/off -loading pressure from those ulcer areas.

This is not my best blog.....because i am getting a bit sleepy.

URTI

Upper respiratory tract infection. That's what I think I may be getting it right now. I am still as sick like I was 3 weeks ago except with a milder sore throat. Most likely I have to see a Dr again next week. Steriods is what I need to reduce the swelling and inflammation. Likewise, Dr Angelmon (Tomas-my dear med friend) also commented the same thing. I don't understand the mentality or the treatment of Australian Drs - far too incompetent. Their treatment process seems to take ages and very often, a diagnosis can only be made after a couple of tests. Then again, if the Drs can't partly being reliable on their judgement and assessment, most of the patients would have to suffer with illnesses in a longer period of time. Perhaps, some patients may even deteriorate while doing or waiting for the tests to be carried out. That's just my perspective. To think that I was down with a terrible cough and fever 2 months ago. All the Dr gave was just antibiotics. Went back to him 2nd time, I was no better and he wants me to take x-ray, spirometry tests and so on..... I did mentioned to him if he can give me any symptomatic relieve medications. How can I sleep with a bad cough and not having a good quality of life if goes on everyday like this? He didn't get the point....... so he just asked me to go home with more antibiotics.

2 months later, I am back to the same old problem. Dr's appointment is most likely on Monday.
Hate being so sick and it's bad enough to wake up every morning with a blocked head and nose plus green sputum.

I wanna fly back to Singapore !!!!

Zap!

Woke up in the morning feeling groggy and heaviness in my head. My blocked nose syndrome's getting bad to worst! Found a last tab of Sudafed plus a panadol in my medical kit. Felt slightly better after taking those meds.

Worked in the afternoon and boss spoke to me for a while. Ok, let me get this straight. He criticised me for writing a poor Dr's referral:
"
Mr x attended the podiatry clinic on 7/10/04. He presented with reddness, swelling and inflammation of left 2nd toe (?gout). Please kindly assess and provide treatment if necessary."

On the serious note, I find that this referral is short and sweet , direct to the point. Which Dr would bother to take more than 5 mins to read a referral or as if an essay is required here. The boss thinks that I should use the brackets and instead, I should write something like this :" the signs and symptoms appear to be like gout. " So with this sentence, it will make the referral sounds nice and flowy. Duh* That's the thing working in private practice. Everything has to be perfect as it seems. I've worked in several place/clinics and written a number of referrals to Dr and surgeons even. In general, his comments are not strong enough to back up where the problem lies on my referral.
By the way, I was very glad that I save a patient's toe! It all began from having 2 small pockets of pus on her 3rd toe plus she has always been very healthy without any medical problems. The Dr told her that she could have suffer from terrible ulcers if not treated promptly. Neither did she felt any pain nor discomfort from those ulcers. The Dr was impressed that I've noted this early and of course, my pt was so thankful throughout. 'Small' things certainly can make a big difference.

In addition, read from the Straits Time online that Singapore is going to set a full -pledged podiatry centre! That means all the diabetic patients may stand a better chance from not having foot /lower limb amputations with regular diabetic footcare and screening tests.

Mates

This blog specially dedicated to my online mates. No doubt we are miles apart, I am thankful for all the listening ears that I need.

No particular 'favouritism' as listed in random order:

  • VN: Ok, both of us can crown as the Queens of Msn or Icq. Hurhur. It's been great yakking to you all these years and at least, I know my teeth are in the safe hands of yours....* I think* ;p My favourite 'DJ' of all times who doesn't mind sending me songs via my crappy dial up internet. Who ask you to have a poor pod friend here....*sigh* Where are all the old rich and dying soon Ah peks -Please stand up!
  • KH: I must say you are one of the guys who is filled with the highest level of patience. Great advices from you and nonetheless, you have also taught me to look at things in certain perspectives.
  • Eliza: It's amazing how our friendship slowly started off. You are a great girl and don't stop being yourself!
  • JS: My 'virtual' Dr. Never fails to help me to solve and answer all sorts of medical questions. Tell me what's new besides your 'sick' craps ;p Thanks for sharing your moments of your personal life and work. Still, I hope you would perserve in whatever you do and not get bog down by some worthless people. Seriously, I don't wish to lose another med friend via the transition from a HO to MO ( Unfortunately, a very good med friend of mine had succumbed to the working enviroment that turned him into an impatience and bad-tempered person ......that I don't even want to know him anymore).
  • Susan/Yvoone: Appreciate your time to chat. I know you guys are busy earning money and uh, rollerblading at East Coast Park without me! *sniff sniff*
  • Clarisa: We are certainly miles and miles apart. While you are in UK and I am in Down Under.*bleah* Looking foward to the day that we'll meet again!
  • #Medicine Friends: You know who you are...........
  • Callie: Glad you quit CGH, hopefully to catch with you more often.
  • Dk: thanks for being there........ ;O)
  • Rea (from Hungary): we talked about anything under the sun.... family, boys, work, study. It is also quite irony that everytime when I said I am going to have my dinner, you are having ya lunch then.

.....ok, I can't write anymore.....Anti-histamine is 'playing up' on me ..Zzzz

Ah Jan in Town.

Sunday's recap:

Woke up at 9am just to return $8 to a friend whom she claimed that I didn't paid for my share on the last dinner. Wtf* I didn't rang her today to arrange for a coffee session because I just don't want to associate with such person no more.

Met up with Jan later in the afternoon. As this is her first flight to Perth, I brought her for a quick city tour and harbour town. It was a good catch up for both of us and dinner was at Hog's Breathe Cafe that is supposedly to have the best steak in town. Had coffee at Leederville and HipE was packed with ang mohs on Sunday except Jan and myself being like the only Asians around. In the end we went over to Niche Lounge (right next to Hip-e) which plays nice soothing drum and bass/acid Jazzy music. Quite fun staying over Sheraton Hotel with Jan. She taught me how to use to certain beauty products for the face. Did nose peeling mask to remove the blackheads. *lol* Think I need to revamp beauty products soon. Thanks Jan! Such a shame that I don't get to do these girly stuffs as much as I want to.

Went back home after bidding goodbye Jan. Slept for an hour and went for a power walk along the causeway. Weather was fabulous which is not neither too hot nor cold.

Whee! I got new phone.Tee hee!

Maybe I'll miss watching Queer Eye this week. Bloody hsemate and his g.f always occupy the kitchen around that time. Annoys me. *bites*

What happens when you got a accountant friend?

Part 1:

It's THAT time of the month again. Besides suffering the effects of hormonal imbalance, I just spent the whole afternoon surfing straits time website and read up Sumiko Tan's articles. Generally, I find her writings are quite interesting, almost surreal, great sense of humour and most of the time she added on a few of her very own dramatic experiences in it.
Gosh, I need to take the laziness out of me.

My friend smsed me this afternoon. With the text message indicated like this :" you owe me $15 for the bar course as have to pay additional fees and also $8 for the dinner."Well, it's fair enough that I gotta pay for the extra dollars on the bar course which we took together. With the dinner thing, I was so astonished. As far as I could remember, both of us didn't have any change so she paid first and when I gave her the big note, she just nodded her head and refused it. With the non verbal cues, I took it as a treat from her then. Gosh* The dinner which we had was like almost a month ago. This friend of mine is leaving for Melbourne soon and she also asked if I want to meet her up for coffee or dinner. Of course for coffee! Just in case the same drama happens again. Who ask me to go out with an accountant!? On the other hand, I get a bit 'sensitive' whenever she asks if anyone of us would like to drive to go out. Just get it straight out man. Each time when I ask her what exactly do you really want , she would go on like :" oh can you drive?". Look, I don't bother to ask unless I know I wouldn't wanna drive on that particular day.
Hence, I'll just get straight to her and say I'll pick you up at whatever time. Because I know she is trying to give me an option which doesn't turn out to be that way.

Part 2:

My housemate didn't flush the toilet bowl properly and hate the sight of seeing stuffs floating.......plus, wish he cleans up the damn fucking sink after shave. Too bad, all the shaved is wiped up with his toothbrush. Some people just never learn their lesson despite the efforts of telling them.

Part 3:

Maybe I have been watching too much Dr Phil on TV lately. I realised I also have been reading a lot about raising kids and the issues faced with them. Never know these may come in handy someday.....bleah*

Athlete's Foot

Here I am not describing about the condition (or called it Hongkong feet) on the fungal infection of the foot but it's just the name of the store which sells sports footwear.

I just came back a few hours ago from attending a private party organised by Athlete's foot and solely invitation extended to podiatrists only. The best thing about attending such little party is that at the end of the talks, the podiatrists are entitled to buy any shoes from the rack at a great discount of 45% off the retail price. I bought a pair of New Balance for Mom as her pair of Reeboks has been trashed into the bin ages ago. Plus, got a free 3/4 sleeved t-shirt from the new brand of sports shoes "Ryka" that caters only for sports woman and and plently of discount vouchers for my clients.

At least, I am on my way to recovery from getting a bad sore throat. Seen a dr yesterday and quite surprisingly , Amoxillin works well on me. After taking 3 tabs I think I am fit enough to go for a karaoke session ;p I have been taking a lot of rest especially afternoon naps this week. Think my body is protesting against me being too stressed last week.

Gonna take my time to flip through the catelogues from the suppliers before I start making an order for the stuffs I need to bring along to prison.

White water rafting postponed to November and I'll be going to Northam again next Friday. Hopefully I'll get some good pictures to paste on my tourist webpage.

Still thinking should I go for the State conference or not.........cost $145 a day....

My throat, My THROAT!

Most likely I am suffering from the post nasal drip. Started off from having a blocked nose, progressed to irriation of my throat that felt as if the mucous is falling back instead of blowing it out. Got a fever in the middle of the night that dragged me off the bed to take panadols which I felt slightly better the next day. I just keep my fingers crossed that I don't have to see a Dr here. After seeing a few Drs here for my past consultations, I find that most Aust. Drs are not competent enough to treat small sickness in time. For instance, I was down with a cough for 2 weeks. The doc wanted me to have an x-ray done and conduct a spirometry test on me to eradicate the diagnosis of asthma.Think by the time I got all the tests done and results out, I'll probably end up coughing my lungs out. Geez, the health care in Aust can be quite expensive simply by having a few tests done. Tha's why it is so important for the people here to get adequate health insurance cover. Dental charges can cost a minimum of $100 bucks per visit.

Spent most of my weekends lying on the bed except went out to Market with a Jap friend on Saturday.

Jan , the SQ girl is coming to meet me in Perth next Sun! yay* at least something to look forward to over the weekend.

Sealed with a Kiss

Since my dearest Tooth friend is too busy blogging away, I may as well blog the latest entry of my latest happening. In fact, nothing's too happening and perhaps, I am just exaggerating a little. Hurhur!

Went to hip-e club again last night. It was quite a crowd by the time when my crazy g.f and myself got there. Wasn't really lucky at all when I was with her yesterday. Firstly, she didn't lock my car door ( this could be the 2nd or 3rd time) and I wish she can be more vigilant about it. Next, how can she dropped a pen and caused a marked stain on my pants!? That could only happen like one in a million...grr* Enough of such craps. Moving on along, she got to know this Scottish Dude and another 29 year old Irish man. I wouldn't think the Scotts man is good-looking but armed with a dangerously sweet smile. Irish man looked as though suffering from jet lag or getting high on the booze throughout the night.
It was great with the dudes buying all the beers and yet, I have to stick with my .05 alcohol limit for driving. Neither the crazy girl knows how to drive BUT her drive with beers has improved so much from no taking of beers to 3 glasses yesterday.
Oh, the Scotts gave me a kiss (on my cheeks la!) before we left and the same goes to Irish dude..think he was half- drunk coz he kissed on my hairline.Bleah*

Today is my last day working at Canning Bridge Senior Centre. My last patient was kinda upset because she don't see the reason why the boss has to push all the clients for the morning only. For a moment, she thought I was going away. Well, I commented that cirumstances forced me to leave and therefore, I ain't got any choice.

Looking forward to the start of my prison work in Oct and hence, here is the list of things to do by next week:
  • Shop for medical supplies ,
  • Hunting for a tool box that can accomodate my stuffs,
  • Ring H to see where I can get cheaper stuffs
  • Get a new street directory from RAC ( members pay only $18 instead of $25)

Hurhur!

What Do I see and feel on a Monday

My day started off working in a senior citizen centre and my hands were working non-stop from 9am all the way till 11yish snipping someone's toenails/scraping callous/eucleating corns for every 20 minutes. If I do get a 5 or 10 minutes break, I'll be busy scrubbing the instruments and topping up sterile water to the machine for autoclaving. And also trying to squeese a minute or two writing my patient's notes. Oh, another disabled Ah pek patient of mine (old man) tried to 'kiss' me in order to show his appreciation. Freaks me out a little definitely :<

Followed in the afternoon, I went over to another nursing home to work. Not everyone enjoys have their feet done. Some may yell and ask you to get lost. Others may even kick you onto your face. Some needs a little more coaxing in order to have them to sit still. Seriously, the longer I worked there, the capacity of my patience bulits up even greater. Some even asked me to cut their fingernails and I just do it without any hesitation. I can't stand long fingernails myself. It was then one of the carers started to ask me to look at her ingrown toenail. Heh, think I should start my own privatised business soon.

*New jobs alert: I'll be going to 3 prisons to work once a week based on rotation. Basically, I'll buy the basic supplies and charge them whatever I feel like for their respective treatments. At least, something to look forward to in October. That somehow makes me feel as though I am a businesswoman running 'mobile' clinics. At least, pay is heaps better than working anywhere else. In general, I would say it is not bad considering having working only 3-4 days a week and yet, being able to 'feed' myself.

Will be going for facial after my morning work tomorrow. Whee!

Thanks Susan! I have received the parcel from you today...of course, your name deserved a mention on my blog ;o)

Eye Balm : Clarins or Clinque?

I can't make up my mind whether which brand to use....So typical vainpot of moi ;p
Went to Chinese grocery shop along Vic Park. This auntie's son happened to be one of my podiatist's friend. Such a small world and she was so nice to give me her phone number so that I can pay her a visit.

Uncle L rang me that I need to redo my health checkup for the migration purpose. Geez, I felt as though I was being conned for my money again. So frustrating (at times) that the PR application seemed to be facing one hurdle after an another. I got a bad feeling that I may not go back to SG so soon until next year. That means I will have to spend Christmas, New year's and Chinese New Year here in Perth. *sob* Anyway, my parents are coming over to attend another convocation of mine in Feb 05. My plan is to return to SG before I turned 28. I've got long-term plans for my career back home and it's just a matter of having the guts to do it or not. For instance, setting up my own private practice, gaining recognition of the importance of footcare (especially patients with diabetes), reforming all nursing shoes ( trust me, they have sux-ed for years).
Then again, I hope to achieve a couple of objectives on my job prior returning home and that's why I refused to go back so early so that I can learn much skills/techniques from the more experienced pods here.
List of objectives:
  • Improvement on nail surgery technique
  • Curettage of warts
  • Making of Dynasplints to offload pressure from the foot ulcers.

Am thinking of going to Bursewood tomorrow for Telethon - a fund-raising function for kids/ppl with cancer. But I hate the idea of going with my crazy g.f...just in case I get ripped off again ;p

Happy Notes

This is just one of the stories told by my patient on Tuesday. She is one of the most positive women I've ever met. As the story goes, she was a head nurse trained in UK where she also met her first husband that turned out to be a psychotic. Thus, one day she couldn't cope or living with his behaviours where the marriage ended 3 years later. She had 3 kids with him but one of the kids died in an accident plus she was the driver at fault. At this point, it must be pretty hard living with guilt in her. Then she went on to become an orthopaedic surgical head nurse where she met her second husband. The thing about the 2nd husband is he was married to another lady at that time. It wasn't until 6 years later, they've met in a practice and that's the time he realised that he couldn't live without her. Eventually, he got divorced with the former wife and married my patient. Unfortunately, the marriage died a year later with the surgeon husband contracted thyroid cancer. She loved him to death and vowed he was the most geninue and nicest man she ever met. *sniff* -->getting a little emotional here
From the last 70s, she became a widow ever since and throughout the years, she kept herself busy with choirs, going to classical concerts, visiting grandkids and doing anything in the world that she can to occupy her mind.
It's quite funny how she commented that she doesn't fancy the treatment from the previous pod coz she's big-sized and being not gentle enough. She always felt that the pod is going to take off her big toe. She even wanted to come to the private practice where I am working when the actual pod comes back from holiday.

Next, my Jap friend smsed me and maybe we're gonna meet up on Friday. Visited my former patients and I am going (together with his wifey) to Northam for a vintage car exhibition. He will be driving his open military jeep which he built from scatch. James rang me up and offered me a job at a nursing home with goodie pay ( $60/hr).

  • Other happenings:

I won a free jug of beer at Hip-E club! Yippee!!! What a surprise that G also won the same stuff as me. Such a waste that I can't take the beer home and enjoy it. If only I hadn't drive.....grr* So both of us went up to collect our prizes and took a pic together. The crazy girlfriend whom I was with at the club kept teasing me and G that we are just meant to be ' inseperable'. Other than the fact that G and myself had the same b'date, I don't see anything going on between us. Firstly, I don't really like dating smoking dudes. I always have this allergic rhinitis which comes and goes. Sometimes, it can turn bad to the extent that I can hardly breathe. Additionally, the idea of kissing ciggie-d lips puts me off.*pukes*

Inner Voices

I wasn't very pleased that I gotta fetch people up and down to the clubs most of the time last week. It's the people whom I don't at all. I undestand R doesn't wanna disappoint her friends but if I don't say yes, that makes me sound like an evil person. Indeed, it's all because she is on tour and that's why I didn't make a din out of it. Remember it's doesn't happen only once. On the other hand, I hate to tell her that she is being a little naive in her relationship with the b.f. What right do I have to say it anyway. Since she has made the choice , she gotta be brave to face whatever circumstances that come along. Not just whining and upsetting herself because she can't reach her boyfriend in Australia on the phone.
VN is right, I am a big softie and easy being ripped off by others.

Clubbing was kinda boring sh*t on Saturday. First, have to pick up C (whom i just got to know) and R. The problem is C's nonverbal cues (eg, folding across her arms most of the time) just tell me she is not interested?. Geez, don't think I would actually meet her just because I thought Christine n her friends were coming to Metros as well - which in the end, they didn't come! Well, some people are just being indecisive and like the idea of 'flying aeroplane' ( giving empty promises).

Went out with F in the arvo for dim sum and being so nice of me again (and also with the thought of her coming from a poorer background), I paid for the meal. That was cool with me. But what I can't stand is that if she can't afford to pay the shirt for a friend's present, why insist buying it on the spot then? She tried to pay via the bank card which doesn't work at all. In the end, I just paid it on her behalf to save ourselves from embrassement. If she is sensible enough, she would have come back next time to buy the shirt then. I don't know what have I done in my previous life as if I am owing her favours all the time. Yes, I lent her my bag, shoes and gave her a cardigan unreluctantly. . I've already verberlized that I have certain amount of bills to pay on time and yet she still doesn't get the clue.

Why am I keep having such feeling of people ripping me off?

Euroka Retirement Village

That's where I went to render my foot services to the old folks living there. I have never been to North Beach suburb and yet, it was indeed a fantastic place with great coastlines. Took me about half and hour to get there with the traffic in the morning. I took a pic of the area after work so stay tune dudes!
Someone had actually fully booked the whole bloody long list of appointments without a lunch break in between. Gosh* I could have work from 8.30am to 2pm constantly non-stop. Thanks to Gwen (my patient) who was kind enough to make me a cheese tomato sandwich. She even brought me an apple as well! That was soo sweet of her. And the other patient even make me a cuppa tea with some biscults which she brought it down from home. George ( another of my patient) even offered to clean up the place after I am done. All these folks fufilled my day and being so kind to me even I didn't know them at all.

Went out last night to Oriels with Christine's friends with her b.f. I can't deny the fact that those people are really boring to the extreme. I get to chat up to Z and C most of the time while pretending to ignore the presence of the rest. I know I am a bad girl *lol*

Feel like taking a nap now..*again* It has been becoming more like a habit in the evening. Chatted with D (en) last night online and hope he feels much better today despite whatever shit his wife is doing to him. I feel sorry for him and if I were his daughter, I would detest mommy forever for hurting daddy. Because I do understand that her actions are just soo wrong and unacceptable. It's quite unbelievable how he can channel all his energy in treating patients.

Phobia of LOVE

My girlfriend, R was in town recently from Singapore. A few more days to go for R before she commenced her new job at a local mental health hospital as a nurse. Finally, we met on Tueday night to go to Hip-E club for a chill out. Free beer and roast burger before 9pm. It was all good until she won a bottle of Champagne and a cosmetic bag. Plus that bottle of alcohol must be consumed on that day itself. Somehow, I managed to see G and a few new pilot dudes. So I grabbed G and asked if his mates wanna share the drink with R and myself. Must be R's unlucky day....she met Ryan that night whereby Ryan used to be a bit 'crazy' on R. *lol* But still, Ryan has his cute side of it and very witty too.

Got to know another friend of G who is D. He works as a dental surgeon and has been friends with G for the past 17 years. I thought it would be nice to know another dentist besides my daily online buddy, VN in queensland. We exchanged numbers coz I thought of bringing R and D around perth. Anyway, we didn't go in the end. The funny thing is how D just touched behind my shoulders as we walked to the dance floor that night. I mean, I would rarely get close to anyone especially if I am meeting him/her for the first time. Call me a conservative brain. It probably meant nothing at all.
Saw G and the pilot gang again at Margeaux's. It was my first time there since the R's whole housemates are going too. More like an international gang with people from Germany, Australia, Singapore, Norway. Had a couple of drinks but what sux that night was waiting for R's friend freaking long. R was nice to buy me a drink that night anyway. And I met D again....it took me a while to get warm up and say Hi to him. Basically he was standing there and people watching. Basically that's how I managed to start a little conversation with him.

Actually, D was rather an easy going guy, career-minded, with 80% of nerd in him. What a shame he is leaving on this coming Friday. Perhaps, that's why he didn't bother to show any intentions of keeping in touch. Ultimately, it is gonna be an issue in singapore vs perth thing. I don't even know where my career is going to take me which places. Maybe he did show his keeness but well....what I can say. No doubt I did say that :" perhaps it would be the last time I'll be seeing you. Have a good trip and have fun on the rest of the days." His reply was like :" good bye?"-many times?
arrghh*
I don't know whether he was thinking at that time...it was like 2am.

The only thing is we did exchanged numbers and I got a card where he works at a private pracitice.

Nope, no boogie on Saturday night.

It's unlike one of those Saturdays, finally I get a chance to stay at home and enjoy a can of Foster's in front of internet. This week is no difference to last week as in I've worked 2 Saturdays as a nurse in the hospital. The most dreadful thing about working on Saturday is to wake up at 5 yish in the morning :<

I've worked with so many war veterans and elderly folks....I began to realise that people nowadays (as being in a relationship) are less tolerant, less understanding, and less passionate. During the years of World War 1&2, these old folks had been through so much for the sake of keeping their relationsips alive. No matter where one meet each other or where one's from, they somehow managed to get together. Distance wasn't considered a hindrance despite the fact that the partner may come from another country. Times has changed indeed. We are moving beyong into a quicker pace than before. Emailing is just not good enough as part of basic tools of communication. We need pictures smsing and even digital camera installed onto the phones!
We are ought to be lucky in this booming new technology era which truly has made communication more accessible. My question is: doesn't long distance relationships work at all?
So far, I've got only a friend involved in this. I find it quite hard to understand if one just blames it on the distance apart as the main reason for the breakup.
If that's the main reason, why be in the relationship in the first place?
From my point of view, being distant apart seems to conquer the power of love...... unfortunately.

Why Women Cry
(abstract from a friend of mine in Virtualtourist.com)

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?"
"Because I'm a woman, she told him."I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."
Later the little boy asked his father,"Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why womencry.
Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked,"God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said "When I made the woman she had to be special.I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside human falteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."You see my son," said God,

"the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combsher hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides".

HOME VISITS

I feel so dreadful to wake up early in the morning. Perth's weather has been quite lousy with lots of gusty winds and stormy rain. This is one of those days which one would preferred to stay indoor. Other than being dreadful is I gotta wake up early for home visits! Gosh* I hate it so much.... Hate the jams in the morning and travelling distance. It's lovely to treat the folks but I've got too many people to be seen within this week just puts me off.
Okay 3 more to go tomorrow after checking through a list of 10 home visits. Quite poor thing for the old folks. They are normally house bound and function independently at home. Most of them are in their 80s already plus, this Italian lady was so cute. She doesn't speak much English so I have to use short and simple words to explain what I am going to do..etc.. Then, she began to open up her cookie boxes one by one asking me to try her home- made biscults.
Followed by "you want drink? Coffee?".

So much about work, I am going to Harbour Town tomorrow with Y. Hopefully I don't get to spend so much. Need to set aside some bling bling for river rafting end of next month.

I need a break end of this year too......Ever since start of this year, I have been busy with my nursing degree and followed by work and now proceeding into working almost full time, wish I can take a 4 or 5 days break for a trip to Sydney.

Why appointments are always screwed up?

Not exactly sure what is going on but it seems the appoinments are *uck up with the patients. Either they turn up on the wrong day or my boss's lap top is screwed up.
Anyway, this is life isn't it?
On the other hand, I don't think I can handle 10 home visits this week. They are all over the places and it takes more time to read the map than treating the patients itself. Not particulary fond of doing that so I am gonna call it quits over the weekend.

*sigh* Most podiatrists are sole practitioners whereby they start up a business on their own from the beginning. It is more common in Perth as it seems. I am starting job hunting in November onwards, particularly paying attention to Queensland or Newcastle (New South Wales).

I am so tired this week..glad tomorrow is Thursday and I can't wait for weekend to come....Whee!!

On a happier note, my oldies are singing full of praises of me today*WIDE GRINS*. "After coming to the podiatry for 5 years, I think you are the best among the rest of podiatrists." -quoted from Mrs S. "
" Thanks darling, that feels good after the hard skin's taken off. Oh, I suppose you are gentle in person as well." -quoted from Mrs R.

Something at least brightens my day.....

Sleeping Bug hit on me

I went to Northam yesterday together with a fellow Aussie pod,P. Northam is approximately about over an hour's drive east of Perth. Basically we took 20 patients each in a private nursing home for podiatry service.By the time we got done, it was already 6pm. So tiring with lotsa bending over the foot rest, sitting down on the floor and also there are a couple of struggling moments of those elderly refused to let me cut their toe nails. This old Italian folk even went to the wrong room and what was worst was while I was trying to remove her big corn in her toe , she fidgets sooo much. I hate the idea of putting in such a high risk postion of injuring myself.
On the lighter note, this Mrs C was so sweet. She gave me a Freddo choc and said thank you. hahaha...That certainly comes in handy where i need sugar boosting at the end of day's work.

And then, P and I decided to go for dinner at Jimmy Deans. But it was so packed plus there are 4 groups of people waiting before us.
Besides Jimmy Deans, the town of Midland only had Thai and pancakes house. So we decided to have Thai green curry and thai fried rice.

I am so tired on the sunday..woke up at 12 and slept at 2 -yish again. I feel like i am the ultimate pig of the world. Ahh, perhaps I am .haha.
Talked to Donny, Dk and Vn at the same time...if you guys realise that i am NOT responding to your chat earlier coz i was climbing back to my slumberland. I love my pillow, my duck feathered blanket and also another smelly' pillow.
HURHUR

'Nightmare' for tomorrow :O(

Working @Carlise Senior centre--> Perth City to collect instruments --> Back to South Perth to collect instruments --> Lesile Watson's Nursing homes @ salter point --> Back to South Perth to drop off instrument --> Home --> Rest and attend Bar Course at Uni of Western Australia --> Keep in view meeting Chris tomorrow night in the city.

MONDAY IS FILLED WITH blues

Work is all good today. The problem lies with the car....
I wanted to get the battery fixed today at Anna's car workshop and the price quoted was reasonably cheaper than any other places. The toyota company sent the wrong batt to her place....Which means I gotta wait for a few more days before the actual batt arrives.
So duh* Anna felt so apologetic and claimed that this is what happened when customers try to get their car on time and it never happened. Spare parts companies always have a higher tendency of sending the wrong stuffs to the workshop. So inefficient. I bet those workers if they ever worked in Singapore will be condemned ages ago for poor service.

So with the new battery installed later, I would have to find out the exact radio pin for the car. Without them pin means I got no radio!!! *SOB* so smsed the previous owner and hopefully he can get back to me if not, that goes my 40 bucks for resetting the code at toyota workshop.

Too much running around this afternoon and zonk me out for a nap........

Oh the auntie who worked at the chinese grocery store was nice enough to share with me her pimple remedy. Worked for her son and she has highly recommended to some customers which produced positive results.

My Jap (nippon) friend smsed me and most likely we are gonna meet up this Friday.

After so much 'drama' today, I guess what happened to me is really nothing..When I was driving on my way to work, stopped red lights the rail to get past. On my left hand side, there was this young dude wearing one of the callipers to walk along the pathway towards the direction of train station. Not sure how can i exactly described that emotion of his whether is he in pain when he walks, experiencing discomfort, or trying to adapt to walk despite his limitation. Every little step he made seems to be a great effort.

What say me:
  • Always look at the problem with a bigger picture.
  • Nothing is to be feared with determination.
  • Everything happens for a reason and it would be 'worth the problem' if one treats it as part of learning experience.
  • I don't believe in life can be plain smooth sailing all the time.

I like this comic strip.....kindly sent by my friend, Ahamira from Brighton, UK Posted by Hello
Beautiful Sunday

What am I doing on a Sunday? Woken up by a phonecall from Dad and the time is already 10am. Got some laundry and bed linens for washing. Watched video hits in the morning and ate my breakfast. My housemate is already eating her lunch though...This shows how slack I am on a Sunday.

Right now, planning to do my power walk later and cleaned up my car. No doubt is quite reasonably cleaned but I just can't tolerate any speck of dust lying around ;p I got allergic rhinitis if you know what I mean.
Right now, chatting with VN and DK while mutlitasking onmy blog and sewing my new brown pants.
Can't wait for Spring to come in September ......ahhh..
Gonna bring Y to church later and most likely we'll have dinner after that.

The Reason- Hoobastank

That's the song I am currently listening to. Great tempo, lyrics, slow rock described beautifully on the scenerio that the lead cast is facing at that moment. God damn.... sometimes the vision of J keeps flashing on my mind. Perhaps I am just missing him by a fraction.

Email reply from the clinic manager of Kantaning. They are seriously underoffered me the pay and not taking into consideration of my previous experience and qualifications. Even though it was 3k+/month but that's not included tax and travelling fees. Generally, it's not worth the time and money to move around so much and morever, the pay I am getting is pretty much the same as I am working here in Perth.

Had a busy day working in 2 locations. Seeing soo many elderly folks really scare me. How would I be like 50 years down the road. *lol* Anyway, just a thought of it. Watched the gay show earlier on. (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy). Almost sobbing with tears whereby this bunch of gay dudes brought this Asian crazy clown looked to a sophisticated n well-groomed man. They even helped him to plan for his wedding dinner from venue location, set up,food, cultery sets, cards for the guests, renovate the love birds' nest, to pointers on his wedding speech.............the ending was...too touching. I can tell this couple are so much in love where on the other hands, you would feel they are so much into each other not just soulmates only.*wipes with kleenex*

Got my car insurance sorted out with tyres to be replaced this Thursday.

Killing softly with this song.....

Just happened this song came along on the radio now which always remind me of my best g.f , Eileen and Viven. This song certainly brings us good memories where we enjoyed our early 20s hanging out together regularly. I missed them back home..

Oh I sold my Ford Baby this morning! The price was good and no doubt having this car for 4 years, the depreciation value only went down by less than 2k. Tomorrow I'll ring the buyer for my Echo to be pick up this Saturday I hope. I can never thank enough of my dad who always get the best things for me.... that's the reason why I am willing to take an extra step towards for a better career so that my parents are able to live comfortably in the later part of their living years.
I've sent an email making more enquires about working in Kalgoorlie (600km away from Perth, 6 hours via rail, an hour via flight). Well, working for the government hospital can never be bad enough but the only down side, I got no one to turn to if I need help. No assistant nurse or another podiatrist fella. I am all alone. So i need to ensure the deal is good enough for me to take up such position.
Starting pay is 40k -50k plus plus I also have asked for relocation fee and accomodation subsidy.
Kalgoorlie is a big country town and most of the shops are avaliable. And they got my favourite TARGET store! Whahahaha.....

Not sure R is reading my blog but I hope she can get over with J. Can't believe J even whinge about paying 45cents for overseas SMS. What does that imply despite the fact that J is in Perth and R is in Singapore? R was so upset and I talked her through till 2 am in the morning.

On the lighter note, Dk , if you are reading this, stay happy and always remember there are always friends who care about you. Most importantly, you are not alone in this battle of saddness.

Eh VN, entertain me le! Whahahahaha, i need a teeth checkup. Mom said my teeth are getting yellow.Don't think Colgate works anymore!! :O<
