Athlete's Foot

Here I am not describing about the condition (or called it Hongkong feet) on the fungal infection of the foot but it's just the name of the store which sells sports footwear.

I just came back a few hours ago from attending a private party organised by Athlete's foot and solely invitation extended to podiatrists only. The best thing about attending such little party is that at the end of the talks, the podiatrists are entitled to buy any shoes from the rack at a great discount of 45% off the retail price. I bought a pair of New Balance for Mom as her pair of Reeboks has been trashed into the bin ages ago. Plus, got a free 3/4 sleeved t-shirt from the new brand of sports shoes "Ryka" that caters only for sports woman and and plently of discount vouchers for my clients.

At least, I am on my way to recovery from getting a bad sore throat. Seen a dr yesterday and quite surprisingly , Amoxillin works well on me. After taking 3 tabs I think I am fit enough to go for a karaoke session ;p I have been taking a lot of rest especially afternoon naps this week. Think my body is protesting against me being too stressed last week.

Gonna take my time to flip through the catelogues from the suppliers before I start making an order for the stuffs I need to bring along to prison.

White water rafting postponed to November and I'll be going to Northam again next Friday. Hopefully I'll get some good pictures to paste on my tourist webpage.

Still thinking should I go for the State conference or not.........cost $145 a day....

My throat, My THROAT!

Most likely I am suffering from the post nasal drip. Started off from having a blocked nose, progressed to irriation of my throat that felt as if the mucous is falling back instead of blowing it out. Got a fever in the middle of the night that dragged me off the bed to take panadols which I felt slightly better the next day. I just keep my fingers crossed that I don't have to see a Dr here. After seeing a few Drs here for my past consultations, I find that most Aust. Drs are not competent enough to treat small sickness in time. For instance, I was down with a cough for 2 weeks. The doc wanted me to have an x-ray done and conduct a spirometry test on me to eradicate the diagnosis of asthma.Think by the time I got all the tests done and results out, I'll probably end up coughing my lungs out. Geez, the health care in Aust can be quite expensive simply by having a few tests done. Tha's why it is so important for the people here to get adequate health insurance cover. Dental charges can cost a minimum of $100 bucks per visit.

Spent most of my weekends lying on the bed except went out to Market with a Jap friend on Saturday.

Jan , the SQ girl is coming to meet me in Perth next Sun! yay* at least something to look forward to over the weekend.

Sealed with a Kiss

Since my dearest Tooth friend is too busy blogging away, I may as well blog the latest entry of my latest happening. In fact, nothing's too happening and perhaps, I am just exaggerating a little. Hurhur!

Went to hip-e club again last night. It was quite a crowd by the time when my crazy g.f and myself got there. Wasn't really lucky at all when I was with her yesterday. Firstly, she didn't lock my car door ( this could be the 2nd or 3rd time) and I wish she can be more vigilant about it. Next, how can she dropped a pen and caused a marked stain on my pants!? That could only happen like one in a million...grr* Enough of such craps. Moving on along, she got to know this Scottish Dude and another 29 year old Irish man. I wouldn't think the Scotts man is good-looking but armed with a dangerously sweet smile. Irish man looked as though suffering from jet lag or getting high on the booze throughout the night.
It was great with the dudes buying all the beers and yet, I have to stick with my .05 alcohol limit for driving. Neither the crazy girl knows how to drive BUT her drive with beers has improved so much from no taking of beers to 3 glasses yesterday.
Oh, the Scotts gave me a kiss (on my cheeks la!) before we left and the same goes to Irish dude..think he was half- drunk coz he kissed on my hairline.Bleah*

Today is my last day working at Canning Bridge Senior Centre. My last patient was kinda upset because she don't see the reason why the boss has to push all the clients for the morning only. For a moment, she thought I was going away. Well, I commented that cirumstances forced me to leave and therefore, I ain't got any choice.

Looking forward to the start of my prison work in Oct and hence, here is the list of things to do by next week:
  • Shop for medical supplies ,
  • Hunting for a tool box that can accomodate my stuffs,
  • Ring H to see where I can get cheaper stuffs
  • Get a new street directory from RAC ( members pay only $18 instead of $25)

Hurhur!

What Do I see and feel on a Monday

My day started off working in a senior citizen centre and my hands were working non-stop from 9am all the way till 11yish snipping someone's toenails/scraping callous/eucleating corns for every 20 minutes. If I do get a 5 or 10 minutes break, I'll be busy scrubbing the instruments and topping up sterile water to the machine for autoclaving. And also trying to squeese a minute or two writing my patient's notes. Oh, another disabled Ah pek patient of mine (old man) tried to 'kiss' me in order to show his appreciation. Freaks me out a little definitely :<

Followed in the afternoon, I went over to another nursing home to work. Not everyone enjoys have their feet done. Some may yell and ask you to get lost. Others may even kick you onto your face. Some needs a little more coaxing in order to have them to sit still. Seriously, the longer I worked there, the capacity of my patience bulits up even greater. Some even asked me to cut their fingernails and I just do it without any hesitation. I can't stand long fingernails myself. It was then one of the carers started to ask me to look at her ingrown toenail. Heh, think I should start my own privatised business soon.

*New jobs alert: I'll be going to 3 prisons to work once a week based on rotation. Basically, I'll buy the basic supplies and charge them whatever I feel like for their respective treatments. At least, something to look forward to in October. That somehow makes me feel as though I am a businesswoman running 'mobile' clinics. At least, pay is heaps better than working anywhere else. In general, I would say it is not bad considering having working only 3-4 days a week and yet, being able to 'feed' myself.

Will be going for facial after my morning work tomorrow. Whee!

Thanks Susan! I have received the parcel from you today...of course, your name deserved a mention on my blog ;o)

Eye Balm : Clarins or Clinque?

I can't make up my mind whether which brand to use....So typical vainpot of moi ;p
Went to Chinese grocery shop along Vic Park. This auntie's son happened to be one of my podiatist's friend. Such a small world and she was so nice to give me her phone number so that I can pay her a visit.

Uncle L rang me that I need to redo my health checkup for the migration purpose. Geez, I felt as though I was being conned for my money again. So frustrating (at times) that the PR application seemed to be facing one hurdle after an another. I got a bad feeling that I may not go back to SG so soon until next year. That means I will have to spend Christmas, New year's and Chinese New Year here in Perth. *sob* Anyway, my parents are coming over to attend another convocation of mine in Feb 05. My plan is to return to SG before I turned 28. I've got long-term plans for my career back home and it's just a matter of having the guts to do it or not. For instance, setting up my own private practice, gaining recognition of the importance of footcare (especially patients with diabetes), reforming all nursing shoes ( trust me, they have sux-ed for years).
Then again, I hope to achieve a couple of objectives on my job prior returning home and that's why I refused to go back so early so that I can learn much skills/techniques from the more experienced pods here.
List of objectives:
  • Improvement on nail surgery technique
  • Curettage of warts
  • Making of Dynasplints to offload pressure from the foot ulcers.

Am thinking of going to Bursewood tomorrow for Telethon - a fund-raising function for kids/ppl with cancer. But I hate the idea of going with my crazy g.f...just in case I get ripped off again ;p

Happy Notes

This is just one of the stories told by my patient on Tuesday. She is one of the most positive women I've ever met. As the story goes, she was a head nurse trained in UK where she also met her first husband that turned out to be a psychotic. Thus, one day she couldn't cope or living with his behaviours where the marriage ended 3 years later. She had 3 kids with him but one of the kids died in an accident plus she was the driver at fault. At this point, it must be pretty hard living with guilt in her. Then she went on to become an orthopaedic surgical head nurse where she met her second husband. The thing about the 2nd husband is he was married to another lady at that time. It wasn't until 6 years later, they've met in a practice and that's the time he realised that he couldn't live without her. Eventually, he got divorced with the former wife and married my patient. Unfortunately, the marriage died a year later with the surgeon husband contracted thyroid cancer. She loved him to death and vowed he was the most geninue and nicest man she ever met. *sniff* -->getting a little emotional here
From the last 70s, she became a widow ever since and throughout the years, she kept herself busy with choirs, going to classical concerts, visiting grandkids and doing anything in the world that she can to occupy her mind.
It's quite funny how she commented that she doesn't fancy the treatment from the previous pod coz she's big-sized and being not gentle enough. She always felt that the pod is going to take off her big toe. She even wanted to come to the private practice where I am working when the actual pod comes back from holiday.

Next, my Jap friend smsed me and maybe we're gonna meet up on Friday. Visited my former patients and I am going (together with his wifey) to Northam for a vintage car exhibition. He will be driving his open military jeep which he built from scatch. James rang me up and offered me a job at a nursing home with goodie pay ( $60/hr).

  • Other happenings:

I won a free jug of beer at Hip-E club! Yippee!!! What a surprise that G also won the same stuff as me. Such a waste that I can't take the beer home and enjoy it. If only I hadn't drive.....grr* So both of us went up to collect our prizes and took a pic together. The crazy girlfriend whom I was with at the club kept teasing me and G that we are just meant to be ' inseperable'. Other than the fact that G and myself had the same b'date, I don't see anything going on between us. Firstly, I don't really like dating smoking dudes. I always have this allergic rhinitis which comes and goes. Sometimes, it can turn bad to the extent that I can hardly breathe. Additionally, the idea of kissing ciggie-d lips puts me off.*pukes*

Inner Voices

I wasn't very pleased that I gotta fetch people up and down to the clubs most of the time last week. It's the people whom I don't at all. I undestand R doesn't wanna disappoint her friends but if I don't say yes, that makes me sound like an evil person. Indeed, it's all because she is on tour and that's why I didn't make a din out of it. Remember it's doesn't happen only once. On the other hand, I hate to tell her that she is being a little naive in her relationship with the b.f. What right do I have to say it anyway. Since she has made the choice , she gotta be brave to face whatever circumstances that come along. Not just whining and upsetting herself because she can't reach her boyfriend in Australia on the phone.
VN is right, I am a big softie and easy being ripped off by others.

Clubbing was kinda boring sh*t on Saturday. First, have to pick up C (whom i just got to know) and R. The problem is C's nonverbal cues (eg, folding across her arms most of the time) just tell me she is not interested?. Geez, don't think I would actually meet her just because I thought Christine n her friends were coming to Metros as well - which in the end, they didn't come! Well, some people are just being indecisive and like the idea of 'flying aeroplane' ( giving empty promises).

Went out with F in the arvo for dim sum and being so nice of me again (and also with the thought of her coming from a poorer background), I paid for the meal. That was cool with me. But what I can't stand is that if she can't afford to pay the shirt for a friend's present, why insist buying it on the spot then? She tried to pay via the bank card which doesn't work at all. In the end, I just paid it on her behalf to save ourselves from embrassement. If she is sensible enough, she would have come back next time to buy the shirt then. I don't know what have I done in my previous life as if I am owing her favours all the time. Yes, I lent her my bag, shoes and gave her a cardigan unreluctantly. . I've already verberlized that I have certain amount of bills to pay on time and yet she still doesn't get the clue.

Why am I keep having such feeling of people ripping me off?

Euroka Retirement Village

That's where I went to render my foot services to the old folks living there. I have never been to North Beach suburb and yet, it was indeed a fantastic place with great coastlines. Took me about half and hour to get there with the traffic in the morning. I took a pic of the area after work so stay tune dudes!
Someone had actually fully booked the whole bloody long list of appointments without a lunch break in between. Gosh* I could have work from 8.30am to 2pm constantly non-stop. Thanks to Gwen (my patient) who was kind enough to make me a cheese tomato sandwich. She even brought me an apple as well! That was soo sweet of her. And the other patient even make me a cuppa tea with some biscults which she brought it down from home. George ( another of my patient) even offered to clean up the place after I am done. All these folks fufilled my day and being so kind to me even I didn't know them at all.

Went out last night to Oriels with Christine's friends with her b.f. I can't deny the fact that those people are really boring to the extreme. I get to chat up to Z and C most of the time while pretending to ignore the presence of the rest. I know I am a bad girl *lol*

Feel like taking a nap now..*again* It has been becoming more like a habit in the evening. Chatted with D (en) last night online and hope he feels much better today despite whatever shit his wife is doing to him. I feel sorry for him and if I were his daughter, I would detest mommy forever for hurting daddy. Because I do understand that her actions are just soo wrong and unacceptable. It's quite unbelievable how he can channel all his energy in treating patients.

Phobia of LOVE

My girlfriend, R was in town recently from Singapore. A few more days to go for R before she commenced her new job at a local mental health hospital as a nurse. Finally, we met on Tueday night to go to Hip-E club for a chill out. Free beer and roast burger before 9pm. It was all good until she won a bottle of Champagne and a cosmetic bag. Plus that bottle of alcohol must be consumed on that day itself. Somehow, I managed to see G and a few new pilot dudes. So I grabbed G and asked if his mates wanna share the drink with R and myself. Must be R's unlucky day....she met Ryan that night whereby Ryan used to be a bit 'crazy' on R. *lol* But still, Ryan has his cute side of it and very witty too.

Got to know another friend of G who is D. He works as a dental surgeon and has been friends with G for the past 17 years. I thought it would be nice to know another dentist besides my daily online buddy, VN in queensland. We exchanged numbers coz I thought of bringing R and D around perth. Anyway, we didn't go in the end. The funny thing is how D just touched behind my shoulders as we walked to the dance floor that night. I mean, I would rarely get close to anyone especially if I am meeting him/her for the first time. Call me a conservative brain. It probably meant nothing at all.
Saw G and the pilot gang again at Margeaux's. It was my first time there since the R's whole housemates are going too. More like an international gang with people from Germany, Australia, Singapore, Norway. Had a couple of drinks but what sux that night was waiting for R's friend freaking long. R was nice to buy me a drink that night anyway. And I met D again....it took me a while to get warm up and say Hi to him. Basically he was standing there and people watching. Basically that's how I managed to start a little conversation with him.

Actually, D was rather an easy going guy, career-minded, with 80% of nerd in him. What a shame he is leaving on this coming Friday. Perhaps, that's why he didn't bother to show any intentions of keeping in touch. Ultimately, it is gonna be an issue in singapore vs perth thing. I don't even know where my career is going to take me which places. Maybe he did show his keeness but well....what I can say. No doubt I did say that :" perhaps it would be the last time I'll be seeing you. Have a good trip and have fun on the rest of the days." His reply was like :" good bye?"-many times?
arrghh*
I don't know whether he was thinking at that time...it was like 2am.

The only thing is we did exchanged numbers and I got a card where he works at a private pracitice.

Nope, no boogie on Saturday night.

It's unlike one of those Saturdays, finally I get a chance to stay at home and enjoy a can of Foster's in front of internet. This week is no difference to last week as in I've worked 2 Saturdays as a nurse in the hospital. The most dreadful thing about working on Saturday is to wake up at 5 yish in the morning :<

I've worked with so many war veterans and elderly folks....I began to realise that people nowadays (as being in a relationship) are less tolerant, less understanding, and less passionate. During the years of World War 1&2, these old folks had been through so much for the sake of keeping their relationsips alive. No matter where one meet each other or where one's from, they somehow managed to get together. Distance wasn't considered a hindrance despite the fact that the partner may come from another country. Times has changed indeed. We are moving beyong into a quicker pace than before. Emailing is just not good enough as part of basic tools of communication. We need pictures smsing and even digital camera installed onto the phones!
We are ought to be lucky in this booming new technology era which truly has made communication more accessible. My question is: doesn't long distance relationships work at all?
So far, I've got only a friend involved in this. I find it quite hard to understand if one just blames it on the distance apart as the main reason for the breakup.
If that's the main reason, why be in the relationship in the first place?
From my point of view, being distant apart seems to conquer the power of love...... unfortunately.

Why Women Cry
(abstract from a friend of mine in Virtualtourist.com)

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?"
"Because I'm a woman, she told him."I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."
Later the little boy asked his father,"Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why womencry.
Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked,"God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said "When I made the woman she had to be special.I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside human falteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."You see my son," said God,

"the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combsher hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides".

HOME VISITS

I feel so dreadful to wake up early in the morning. Perth's weather has been quite lousy with lots of gusty winds and stormy rain. This is one of those days which one would preferred to stay indoor. Other than being dreadful is I gotta wake up early for home visits! Gosh* I hate it so much.... Hate the jams in the morning and travelling distance. It's lovely to treat the folks but I've got too many people to be seen within this week just puts me off.
Okay 3 more to go tomorrow after checking through a list of 10 home visits. Quite poor thing for the old folks. They are normally house bound and function independently at home. Most of them are in their 80s already plus, this Italian lady was so cute. She doesn't speak much English so I have to use short and simple words to explain what I am going to do..etc.. Then, she began to open up her cookie boxes one by one asking me to try her home- made biscults.
Followed by "you want drink? Coffee?".

So much about work, I am going to Harbour Town tomorrow with Y. Hopefully I don't get to spend so much. Need to set aside some bling bling for river rafting end of next month.

I need a break end of this year too......Ever since start of this year, I have been busy with my nursing degree and followed by work and now proceeding into working almost full time, wish I can take a 4 or 5 days break for a trip to Sydney.

Why appointments are always screwed up?

Not exactly sure what is going on but it seems the appoinments are *uck up with the patients. Either they turn up on the wrong day or my boss's lap top is screwed up.
Anyway, this is life isn't it?
On the other hand, I don't think I can handle 10 home visits this week. They are all over the places and it takes more time to read the map than treating the patients itself. Not particulary fond of doing that so I am gonna call it quits over the weekend.

*sigh* Most podiatrists are sole practitioners whereby they start up a business on their own from the beginning. It is more common in Perth as it seems. I am starting job hunting in November onwards, particularly paying attention to Queensland or Newcastle (New South Wales).

I am so tired this week..glad tomorrow is Thursday and I can't wait for weekend to come....Whee!!

On a happier note, my oldies are singing full of praises of me today*WIDE GRINS*. "After coming to the podiatry for 5 years, I think you are the best among the rest of podiatrists." -quoted from Mrs S. "
" Thanks darling, that feels good after the hard skin's taken off. Oh, I suppose you are gentle in person as well." -quoted from Mrs R.

Something at least brightens my day.....

Sleeping Bug hit on me

I went to Northam yesterday together with a fellow Aussie pod,P. Northam is approximately about over an hour's drive east of Perth. Basically we took 20 patients each in a private nursing home for podiatry service.By the time we got done, it was already 6pm. So tiring with lotsa bending over the foot rest, sitting down on the floor and also there are a couple of struggling moments of those elderly refused to let me cut their toe nails. This old Italian folk even went to the wrong room and what was worst was while I was trying to remove her big corn in her toe , she fidgets sooo much. I hate the idea of putting in such a high risk postion of injuring myself.
On the lighter note, this Mrs C was so sweet. She gave me a Freddo choc and said thank you. hahaha...That certainly comes in handy where i need sugar boosting at the end of day's work.

And then, P and I decided to go for dinner at Jimmy Deans. But it was so packed plus there are 4 groups of people waiting before us.
Besides Jimmy Deans, the town of Midland only had Thai and pancakes house. So we decided to have Thai green curry and thai fried rice.

I am so tired on the sunday..woke up at 12 and slept at 2 -yish again. I feel like i am the ultimate pig of the world. Ahh, perhaps I am .haha.
Talked to Donny, Dk and Vn at the same time...if you guys realise that i am NOT responding to your chat earlier coz i was climbing back to my slumberland. I love my pillow, my duck feathered blanket and also another smelly' pillow.
HURHUR

'Nightmare' for tomorrow :O(

Working @Carlise Senior centre--> Perth City to collect instruments --> Back to South Perth to collect instruments --> Lesile Watson's Nursing homes @ salter point --> Back to South Perth to drop off instrument --> Home --> Rest and attend Bar Course at Uni of Western Australia --> Keep in view meeting Chris tomorrow night in the city.

MONDAY IS FILLED WITH blues

Work is all good today. The problem lies with the car....
I wanted to get the battery fixed today at Anna's car workshop and the price quoted was reasonably cheaper than any other places. The toyota company sent the wrong batt to her place....Which means I gotta wait for a few more days before the actual batt arrives.
So duh* Anna felt so apologetic and claimed that this is what happened when customers try to get their car on time and it never happened. Spare parts companies always have a higher tendency of sending the wrong stuffs to the workshop. So inefficient. I bet those workers if they ever worked in Singapore will be condemned ages ago for poor service.

So with the new battery installed later, I would have to find out the exact radio pin for the car. Without them pin means I got no radio!!! *SOB* so smsed the previous owner and hopefully he can get back to me if not, that goes my 40 bucks for resetting the code at toyota workshop.

Too much running around this afternoon and zonk me out for a nap........

Oh the auntie who worked at the chinese grocery store was nice enough to share with me her pimple remedy. Worked for her son and she has highly recommended to some customers which produced positive results.

My Jap (nippon) friend smsed me and most likely we are gonna meet up this Friday.

After so much 'drama' today, I guess what happened to me is really nothing..When I was driving on my way to work, stopped red lights the rail to get past. On my left hand side, there was this young dude wearing one of the callipers to walk along the pathway towards the direction of train station. Not sure how can i exactly described that emotion of his whether is he in pain when he walks, experiencing discomfort, or trying to adapt to walk despite his limitation. Every little step he made seems to be a great effort.

What say me:
  • Always look at the problem with a bigger picture.
  • Nothing is to be feared with determination.
  • Everything happens for a reason and it would be 'worth the problem' if one treats it as part of learning experience.
  • I don't believe in life can be plain smooth sailing all the time.

I like this comic strip.....kindly sent by my friend, Ahamira from Brighton, UK Posted by Hello
Beautiful Sunday

What am I doing on a Sunday? Woken up by a phonecall from Dad and the time is already 10am. Got some laundry and bed linens for washing. Watched video hits in the morning and ate my breakfast. My housemate is already eating her lunch though...This shows how slack I am on a Sunday.

Right now, planning to do my power walk later and cleaned up my car. No doubt is quite reasonably cleaned but I just can't tolerate any speck of dust lying around ;p I got allergic rhinitis if you know what I mean.
Right now, chatting with VN and DK while mutlitasking onmy blog and sewing my new brown pants.
Can't wait for Spring to come in September ......ahhh..
Gonna bring Y to church later and most likely we'll have dinner after that.

The Reason- Hoobastank

That's the song I am currently listening to. Great tempo, lyrics, slow rock described beautifully on the scenerio that the lead cast is facing at that moment. God damn.... sometimes the vision of J keeps flashing on my mind. Perhaps I am just missing him by a fraction.

Email reply from the clinic manager of Kantaning. They are seriously underoffered me the pay and not taking into consideration of my previous experience and qualifications. Even though it was 3k+/month but that's not included tax and travelling fees. Generally, it's not worth the time and money to move around so much and morever, the pay I am getting is pretty much the same as I am working here in Perth.

Had a busy day working in 2 locations. Seeing soo many elderly folks really scare me. How would I be like 50 years down the road. *lol* Anyway, just a thought of it. Watched the gay show earlier on. (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy). Almost sobbing with tears whereby this bunch of gay dudes brought this Asian crazy clown looked to a sophisticated n well-groomed man. They even helped him to plan for his wedding dinner from venue location, set up,food, cultery sets, cards for the guests, renovate the love birds' nest, to pointers on his wedding speech.............the ending was...too touching. I can tell this couple are so much in love where on the other hands, you would feel they are so much into each other not just soulmates only.*wipes with kleenex*

Got my car insurance sorted out with tyres to be replaced this Thursday.

That's my Echo Baby :O) *Click on pic for clearer view* Posted by Hello

Killing softly with this song.....

Just happened this song came along on the radio now which always remind me of my best g.f , Eileen and Viven. This song certainly brings us good memories where we enjoyed our early 20s hanging out together regularly. I missed them back home..

Oh I sold my Ford Baby this morning! The price was good and no doubt having this car for 4 years, the depreciation value only went down by less than 2k. Tomorrow I'll ring the buyer for my Echo to be pick up this Saturday I hope. I can never thank enough of my dad who always get the best things for me.... that's the reason why I am willing to take an extra step towards for a better career so that my parents are able to live comfortably in the later part of their living years.
I've sent an email making more enquires about working in Kalgoorlie (600km away from Perth, 6 hours via rail, an hour via flight). Well, working for the government hospital can never be bad enough but the only down side, I got no one to turn to if I need help. No assistant nurse or another podiatrist fella. I am all alone. So i need to ensure the deal is good enough for me to take up such position.
Starting pay is 40k -50k plus plus I also have asked for relocation fee and accomodation subsidy.
Kalgoorlie is a big country town and most of the shops are avaliable. And they got my favourite TARGET store! Whahahaha.....

Not sure R is reading my blog but I hope she can get over with J. Can't believe J even whinge about paying 45cents for overseas SMS. What does that imply despite the fact that J is in Perth and R is in Singapore? R was so upset and I talked her through till 2 am in the morning.

On the lighter note, Dk , if you are reading this, stay happy and always remember there are always friends who care about you. Most importantly, you are not alone in this battle of saddness.

Eh VN, entertain me le! Whahahahaha, i need a teeth checkup. Mom said my teeth are getting yellow.Don't think Colgate works anymore!! :O<

The story of my mom and the pumpkin in a local Aussie supermarket.....the temptation was there though.... (to bring that huge veg back). Posted by Hello
Old Cats Fight

Old cats actually referred to the oldies here I see at a senior citizen's centre where they come every Wednesday to get their feet treated. The problem is with the appointments last week's clinic, someone actually doubled booked 2 patients at the same time! Not sure which *** messed up the appointments dates, the oldies almost fought with one another for the first priority to be seen. The other problem is most oldies engaged in playing Bingo which starts at 1pm. And of course, if I am running late on the clinic, those folks would start banging on the door to hurry me up. I hate to treat patients in a hush hush manner....that's not my style.... It takes a lot of patience +++ to treat elderly people. The last thing I don't wish to happen is when they start complaining to my boss. Bah!

Dad feels that I am wasting my time while waiting for PR to happen. Anyhow, I have reassured him that while working (almost every day) , I would also attend course/seminars or state conference in relation to my work. Well, I guess this is also my chance to do a bit of mini travel in WA as well. The plan is to attend WA  Podiatry state conference is Oct which is gonna be held in a hotel in Como.

Haven't had much time to catch up with friends like Stefanie, Anna,Zhen and talking to people online....maybe my parents just left and right now, I am organizing my tax return stuff so that I need not worry about the dateline later. Where is my time for exercising!? Hopefully the backside doesn't get as big as I expected ;p
Tomorrow I am going out with my housemate for the first time for some shopping spree. Well, not spending much as I would like as my future expenses are likely to come sooner or later:
1) car transfer fees
2) car registration in Oct
3) car insurance
4) Rent +bills
5) Petrol
6) grocery
7) Podiatrist registration in December
8) Accountant fees
9) WA /state conferences

I have also set aside my main objectives in my work field:
1) Practice nail surgery
2) Understand more on paediatric conditions
Geez, I read this file about this kid with Torticullis (which means wryneck), and Plagiocephaus (premature closing of the lamboidal/coronal sutures of the skull).....
Was a bit blurr reading the history of this kid..anyway, each patient is only allowed 20mins of treatment at the community health service. I just gotta do my best then..

3) treat more warts...they can be soo stubborn and tricky to treat!

4) Biomechanics

So much more now..gonna upload a pic of mom carrying this huge pumpkin as promised.

Back to Blog&Slog

I am beginning to like the idea of HTML-ing on the latest blog features, rather than the dull old plain text. Call me a dummy for computer.

My parents just left for Singapore yesterday. Mom even complained that she hasn't had enough of fun in Perth  and Dad just simply enjoy eating the food here especially the roast. I also realise that my parents kinda a big fan of pumpkins. Check out my mom with a huge pumpkin pic in my next update. Maybe they should become 'ang mohs' (foreigners) so that they get to celebrate Halloween's and decorate the pumpkin masks at the same time. That's just the rubbish part of me. Since Dad was only here in Perth for 3 days, we travelled all over the places extensively. I treated my parents on a luncheon cruise on Dad's birthday. Before Dad's arrival, mom and myself went on a day trip to Pinnacles, Lancelin and Caversham Wildlife Park.
With Dad's stay, all of us check in into this 3.5 star hotel which was quite a good deal for 3 persons for $100 bucks a night. Too bad, I didn't get a chance to use the suana.
Indeed, for the past one week, I was really exhausted but happy..... Additionally, I still have to work almost everyday though.

I am getting more calls to work in the rural areas of Perth (eg, Albany, Kalgoorlie). Erm, that's like a few hours aways (at least 6hours) from Perth so nah!

Oh Donny is currently in Brissy now and that gives me another chance to visit Brisbane again ;p However, my priority is still going to Sydney this year. Short term plan is river rafting trip next month!
Whee!!

Man can cook. What about the women?

I read this piece of article from a local English newspaper online indicating or encouraging new breeds of bachelors or fathers of young families to learn to cook. Actually, if man who can cook certainly impresses me a lot for as long as he doesn't clean up heaps of mess after that.hahaha. With the new century of the world we are living in, we keep talking about fast, new, high technologies ,serve with highly efficient services and in fact, do these change oneself to more being impatient human beings? How many of us can actually take time out to learn and bake a cake? Sad to say, Singaporeans need to be reminded to take time out and sit down enjoying family meals which in turn to enhance family relationships.
Forget about saying men who doesn't know how to cook, I don't think women would know how to get down to kitchen from my observations. From my perspective, I think it is a vital skill that a lady should master plus there is also a good reason to keep your husband's tummy well-fed rather than he staying out for whatever reasons. Hope the reader would understand of what I am trying to say here.

Gotta meet J.T tomorrow for a pigout session..better sleep early for now...

To be continued.....

Freezing cold mornings

Each morning is getting harder and harder to get off the bed. I didn't had a good morning sleep through with constant calls and messages beeping. Firstly, it was a call from the nursing agency asked if I wanted to work in Armadale (that takes about 40mins drive) from my place) and so I rejected it. Martin, from Holland, is suddenly leaving for adelaide today and I'll probably will not see him for a long time unless my Europe tour is happening in year 2006. Dad rang too and talked to me about his upcoming trip to Perth. Mom is coming to town next Friday! Whoppiee, and I just can't decide which ones to go!Hmmmmm......
Otherwise, I just spend my time online and sleeping and went to church with Yulia followed by mussels dinner at Cocas.

Joel, who is currently a medical doctor in singapore, is in town with his family. He's a great friend whom I know a couple of years ago and finally, we get a chance to meet tomorrow. As usual, he's always into casinos aka gamble king on the rock.Picking him up at the hotel lobby tomorrow afternoon for lunchie and show him around in Perth later.

Current update

Got another locum job with a nursing home starting every Monday. For the next coming week will be full on with podiatry jobs and working 2 nursing shifts as well.Need to work hard while I am still young.Hehe, my next travel destination is Sydney and long term travel plan is to Europe in 2006.

I gotta do my tax return which can be quite a headache. I just hate filling those numbers and whatever terms on the forms are so not self-explanatory. I need to bug one of my accountant g.f soon on that ;p But once the tax return is done, I'll be waiting eagerly for the money to roll in. Teehee!!

Otherwise, work is all good last week. Did the volunteer foot service at St Patrick community support centre.Sister Elma was very thankful and gave me a bag of full of lemons. Had duck rice in the city with Raj and gosh, I really miss eating beancurds and soy duck meat. Was shopping earlier in the city too and my favourite cardigan was sold out! %*#*

Change of plan

Okie dok, must make full use of my youth and being single factor right now before the scarecrow lines start to develop around my eyes and lips ;p

Plan is to work in one year in somewhere in Aussie, then save to go around Europe travelling for a few months and then go back to Aussie and work for another year, before I decide to call Singapore my home.*hurhur*
I shall be about 28 years old if the plan goes on smoothly.

Post Party Retreat

Went to Metro club yesterday with a few people from the university hostel. It wasn't that fantastic after all despite constant radio advertisement announcing about the end of semester party for students celebration at the club. Music sucks and hardly any cuties at all (ah huh, I have to admit that). And this young looking middle east dude tried to hold my hands while I was dancing with my g.f. The next thing what happened was I just flick off my arms and gave me an audible note of "EXCUSE ME" I could have kick him in his groins but I was so well-dressed and so, i didn't caused any drama. Tee hee. Oh Raj and myself got Free CDs from Metro.BY the time when the Dj started playing Jacko's songs, my heart sank to the maximum and I called it quits and decided to go home.
Woke up so late today around 12 noon. Didn't do much except having a slacking afternoon and online most of the time.

Today's weather is superb and followed by showers over the next few days. Otherwise, I am chatting with VN @Mt Isa. We talked almost everyday...it's amazing that we haven't run out of any topics. Meanwhile I need to do more research on Sydney as Mom might be coming over next month and we shall do a little tour.YAY*

In regards about my job, I think I would still choose to work between Queensland or Sydney. The jobs are there but it's really up to me whether I wanna go for it or not.As i said earlier, the decision will be made next year.

On the lighter note, it's a plan for river rafting next month! Along the stretch of Murray river, 80kms south of perth :O)
More later.

Short note to Elizabeth: Hey girl, I know U'll be reading my blog...so hang in there and it's time to partay next Tue!

OLD FEMALE FOLKS

Don't know keep getting old female folks telling me what to do at the clinic. When I asked them what exactly the problem is (asking closed- ended questions), they can't even answer that directly. Maybe they preferred the boss and afterall, their feet have been taken care of by the same person for the past few years. Not so good for a change for those who doesn't like the idea. Just thinking going to a preferred hairdresser, as not everyone is pleased to see someone different I guess. BLAH*

Whatever.

I am on the road of recovery after seeing Dr 3 times within less than a month!Whee! NO more cough and means I can party to my heart tomorrow.

On the lighter note, I was thinking of working another year in Sydney or Queensland and followed by another year in Europe.
I really need a full time job man....but this PR is taking way too much time.

Shopping Mania

I have been hanging out with Raj almost everyday. She's leaving next month and I am gonna missed her so much. We enjoyed shopping so much and coffee and seems never get tired with one another.
Raj is so sweet to buy me a Lavender Candle. We are truly the gossip queens of perth (in general).

Spoke to Fred from France on MSN>He invited me over to France for holiday with free food and free accomodation.HAHA.I love that idea but when I got the time and money.i'll definitely make a trip to Europe. And also I wish i can visit Marco in Italy, Rea in Budapest and friends over in London.

Ken apparently send me a carton of FOSTERS via online shipment.I love surprises! and I am very very grateful to him for brighten my day.Cheers mate!

No news of J (irish dude) and I have tried my best to Sms him after exam and yet I didn't hear anything from him. I am not gonna do anything more than that then.I remembered telling that I am not expecting anything from him. If this whole 'thing" ended sadly, let so be it.

Toscana

I just received a postcard from Rea, my darling g.f who lives in Budapest and currently she's having a wonderful holiday with her dreamlover in Sardiniaxx?? Anyway, she was so sweet and we almost talked everyday on MSN without failed.

Work is alright and I had 2 patients in the morning. Spend a little extra time to talk to my last patient and poor him, gotta undergo a surgery to remove the lumps on his lungs. *sigh* I do hope he would get over the surgery soon. Can't stand seeing him breathless all the time.

Slept in the afternoon coz still feeling rather sick :< However i still went out with R to the city and had a lovely coffee session at Morrisons. What a waste R is gonna go back to SG for good. she's such a dear friend who cares to listen and partay partay.

Pa rang today.....and it;s Father's day this sunday..He wants me to write a letter to him and let him know what I feel about my pa. Or should I say, how much I appreicate him as my pa..
See, I am always injected full of traditional family values..:O)

On the go!

Alrighty, i'm done with my second BSc and at the moment, I would very much like to give a break on my study. Perhaps a Masters degree in another two years time.Otherwise, i am happy to work a couple of days a week while enjoying the best time of my life. Then again, I feel so shi* and I am falling sick again!? I just had a course of antibiotics which has made me feel better. However, within a week later, the condition seems to be back to square one.Seeing a Dr again tomorrow at the uni.

Oh, I worked in Armadale community health last Tue. It was excellent and the staffs are pretty helpful. One of my patients thought i was only 21? Wheeeee...... ;p

J didn't send any msg or email me at all...not sure what has happened to him for the past week.Whatever it is, I am just taking that he has flown away for good.I know I deserve someone better than him. In fact, I need someone who loves me unconditionally and not afraid to face any obstacles in a relationship. R's b.f hates the idea of long distance relationship and R is going back home next month after her degree while her b.f had to stay on to finish his study. I mean, what's wrong with long distance relationship? What is it that people fear most in that? Anyway, relationship is gonna take a back seat for now.
I am very impressed with my American meterologist friend who is having a super long distance (he travels around too much for work) relationship for 2 years and with the 11 months not seeing the g.f at all....

Movie

Had those complaints from the oldies. One minute they can be so nice and the next min they turn into a terror manic. Maybe hormones is partly responisible for such erratic behaviours and so does aging.I don't want to grow old!! *haha*

Went out with J yesterday for a movie. Picked him up and we watched The day after tomorrow together. And of course, he didn't show any signs hitting on me.I just couldn't help it but giving a kiss on his cheek. And then we started holding hands while watching the film.Headed down to Mackers for a burger and sent him home afterwards. And I just wanted to kiss him more and more...sure enough, he's leaving in three weeks time. I didn't cried when he broke the news to me. I know this would happen sooner or later, and it's just a matter of time.J didn't want to get close to me coz he was afraid i'll be upset later. So thoughtful of him but.....guess I am mentally prepared enough..before he left for good.

Did nothing much today. Woke up, got dressed and met up with Anna down at Fremantle. Prior that I went to Carousel for shopping craz at the Buzz by getting 3 tops for $40. Very satisfied with my deal for the day. Anna and myself went over to Pirates Backpackers at Freo to meet up with Kevin, our Canadian friend. All of us had drinks at the local cafe and headed down to Anna's place in Coogee watching Bhangra's music video *lol*

Tell me where are the coconut/palms trees? Oh, we also managed to catch Kev's Full Moon Party video in Thailand. That looks really cool and wish I'll get a chance to party this wild too!
Played pool at Anna's place and damn, how can we girls losing to kev. He's sux at pool enough.....*eyes roll up*

Anyway, wanna enjoy my Sat night fever before I get my butt down to study on Monday.*sigh* exam ..again..

Sick

Been having this cough plus sore throat since Monday and yes, a Dr's appointment has been made tomorrow. Lotsa work going around for me *yay* but the coming pay is SO slow. Don't know why it seems the $ comes later than what the contract has stated.

Oh! One of my patients fainted today while I was doing her toenail post surgery dressing. After much reassurances, she just revealed she's just felt too stressed up and hasn't been eating the whole day. Poor mom! In fact, we are about the same age and she's already a mom of 3 kiddos! Bleah*

Witnessed a small accident along Leach highway today.Strange enough, this Honda Integra just bang onto this motorbiker simply by just assuming he will move after the traffic has cleared while waiting at the GIVE WAY sign. I was behind the Honda and I was like "OMG, don't bang!" and of course, the motorbiker got up and just stared at the well-dressed lady in the car. And also, this lady who is about in her 50s ( driving a honda intergra?) came out of the door without even checking for the vehicles moving next to the car. DUH*.

By the way, not sure which idoit rang me at 6yish in the morning to enquire about my car.WTF **#%*)%......

Deep sorrows

J and myself went shopping last Saturday but unfortunately, the shops we went to didn't carry the international designed brands that he likes.Still, he bought a nice pair of shoes from Colorado and a jacket from Myers. And then, drove back to my place as I need to get change for a party that evening before sending him home. We kissed again and even though there wasn't any sighs of holding hands at the mall. I'm beginning to be in doubt of what I am to him actually. Friends don't kiss each other passionately and on the other hand, I don't expect he asked me to be his g.f at all. That is absolutely out of the question of course. Am I being "used" here or accomodating his or my emptiness without a partner? Right now, I wish to have the strength to get over him.I think this is the best choice rather than suffering from tremendous amount of heartbreakings later on.

I feel so weak and vulnerable when it comes to matters related to heart.
Got back from Church and I started to weep in my room.....

On the lighter note, it was a wild happening saturday night. Partied from fremantle to north bridge. Firstly, it was Anna's b'day at Benny's bar and drove back home and Shougi came over and pick me to Metro. It was a fantastic night with the uni students living at the hostel.Uhm, think i didn;t even pay a single cent for any drinks.Hmm...but it was good fun after all. Oh those, toesteppers--> hate them at the clubs.EEKS

Saturday, May 29, 2004

Thursday night was a little exceptional. I met up with J in Northbridge.Didn't realise he was sitting in the cafe and yet I was messaging him outside the cafe to ask exactly where he was. I felt a little embrassed though..when he first looked into my eyes. From there, I asked if he wanted to go to Universal bar for a drink. Indeed, I made the right choice and the band was playing Barry white's songs..."can't get enough of your love baby..."
J bought me the first drink and in return, I bought him one after that. Initially, he refused my offer but I just reassured him. We had a fair bit of chat of his family background and so on.At least, he is working now as a house painter which gives him fair amount of money to spend. He had this funny expression on his face which I made him do it many times and of course, I had a good laugh out of it. ;p
He stole a kiss on my lips in the bar and well, I took it with a pinch of salt actually. Not until when we walked out of the bar where he started to hold my hands.I dropped him off at this place after that.Gee , he seems to be living in an victorian style house and eventually, I went in and took a look at the place. Met his housemate, M who is another Irish girl he lives with. He showed me her room and his room and uhm....... we kissed even more and he just simply refused to let me leave.By the time I wanted to get back home was 2am.Anyway, we just slept (nothing dramatic happens )till the next morning that i sent him off to train station to work. Not forgetting that he gave me another nice long kiss and we're going shopping tomorrow!yay*
I keep telling myself this: gotta be more sensible before making a decision. Just a rather brief statement to remind myself.More tmorrow...

Tonight's dinner menu:
rice with stir-fry veg+ mince meat in oyster sauce

Work is alright I supposed but I was a little upset or feeling rather disappointed. Some folks at the senior citizens complained about moi not 'caring' enough or whatever shit. Anyway, my boss didn't tell me exactly the story. Boss said he is also not every sure about what exactly is happening there but hey, the folks doesn't pay as much as private consultation charges. The usual consult time for each patient is about 20 mins and that include doing some adminstrative work like collecting the fees, writing out notes, and making the next appointment date. I haven't detect anything unusual from those old folks and my bet is they probably 'back-stabbed' me with their rumblings to someone's else. Seriously, at all the practices where I'm working at is dealing with all the veterans and elderly people only. And nothing else more than that. Yeah who knows, they(bosses) might be exploiting me instead. I feel so stagnant at this point and i got the urge to explore all other different areas of podiatry please ...rather than having nails, callus, corns. I am not complaining being bored but at least, they got to let me have a fair bit of mixed varieties.
With all these shi*t that is happening, one of the bosses probably thinks I might not competent enough to handle the patients at private setting.*sigh* Ultimately, before I left the clinic, boss said don't take anything too hard where he just wants to reflect whatever he has heard 'indirectly' from the patients. Indeed, truth hurts.

If only people learn to appreciate a bit more in life, the world will be a much better place to live in. Unfortunately, in the real world, the story ain't exactly like this.

Varicosities

I slept too late last night chatting with Vimes and ended up feeling really lethargic the whole of today. Woke up at 7 yish in the morning to go to Uni and then followed by a haircut n colour appointment down at Northbridge. Usually I don't talk much to the hairstylist and let him to do whatever he wants with my hair. I rather enjoy browsing through numerous of fashion mags there.*shrugs* I'm just tired I guess and he even gave me like a mini massage on my shoulders?? For the first time that perks me up a little *wink*
After that, drove down to dunno the-name-of-street to this Viet Chinese cafe called Pha Vin (I think) for lunch. Wanted to renew my nursing staff card and the agency moved to Wellington st instead of St Georges Tce! *sigh gotta make another trip again.Went to POST office for a while and did a bit of food shopping.
Oh, i gave a name card to my hairstylist coz' he complained of foot pain from standing too long hours ;p
Had a quick chat with the Aunty Jessica working at Kongs (chinese food grocery store). She's a nice lady and certainly know which are the days I'll be at the clinic working.Moreoever, the clinic is just a few doors down the street from the chinese store.

I emailed the Irish dude and probably we'll be catching up over the weekend. We shall see then....

Daniel called me from Singapore! Poor him suffering from some incompetent valves and he almost had stripping of the veins done! Nevertheless, he choses to have laser therapy and glad he's feeling much better and lesser pain. We chatted for half an hour and I reckon I do need some compression stockings too with my medial saphenous veins slighty bulging out on my left leg.

Sunday, May 23, 2004

Woke up this morning and made myself some yummy egg and bacon muffin with a cuppa espresso. Feeling somewhat tired from the late night on Friday.Yeah probably getting old...someone told me I'm starting to behave like an 'old' woman. Actually, shouldn't be the word 'matured' which is more appropriate?

I was intending to stay at home for the whole of Sunday ..I should be printing notes off the uni's website but I'm just *ucking lazy.Opps* (excuse my French). Anna rang me and we decided to head down to Harbour town and basically, squandering my money on some cheap but nice tops from Table 8 and Esprit.
That goes the whole of Sunday arvo.EEKS* Not very productive I must say.

Irish dude emailed me if I was keen to go out with a drink next week.Haven't reply him but I'll think about it.......;p

One more exam and assignment to go!!!! I can't wait to reach till the end of the road on studying.

This is so whacky! *Click me* Posted by Hello

I love wondering around with my digi cam on hands.......... it is always a nice thing to share the view of sunset with family, friends or your loved one. Posted by Hello
12.10pm

I have never slept till so late as compared to the past those months. My usual day always begin early in the morning until evening around 4pm. At this time, (especially during winter)I'll never fail to hibernate under the blanket.Yeah I know, I can be a real Ms Piggy. *onik*

There are so many things which I need to work it out eventually:
Firstly, I need to start work a lot more to pay off the migration fees.Next, going to Nursing agency next week to sort out my new staff card and I'll be ready to return to my nurse job over the weekends. Occasionally I'll be working at Artisan orthotic lab making foot insoles. It is quite a bit of messy job where one would get plasters all over at the end of the day.Otherwise, i'll concentrate on my podiatry job on weekdays.
Well, the above plan is for the coming June /July holidays. Public liability insurance +car registration are the main bills to pay in June.
If only i can work full time and I can't because of the eligibilty of my visa status allows me to only work 20 hours/week and unlimited hours during school holidays only.

Sometimes, I feel my body is 'breaking apart' soon....and yet I'm just hanging there...

Right now, the main priority is to study and sit for my exam coming in June. Till then, that marks the completion of another BSc degree. ;)

Oh got a postcard from Bobby from Korea!heh, land of yummy kimchee?

Scary Thoughts

Ok, the Canadian dude, S, turns out to be a *hitless head. He's a real player and this is confirmed by my banana friend.I was astonished to hear that he slept with banana's g.f and treats her like shit. OMG, I could have been 'trapped'in some ways and not knowing anything at all. Blessing in disguise I must say. I guess I have been hurt enough emotionally by dudes and HIM must be watching after me.

I just want to say 'Thank you' to HIM.

Thoughts on my friend, Mr Valium

GN sent me a SMS late last night. He claimed that he has this feeling that i don't want to chat with him anymore.Come to think about it, we never have any common interests to talk anyway.
It is always evolving about the party and clubbing.... We hardly meet for a catch up and neither he talks much over the phone.Sometimes, I can only understand him through my observations via his actions. He is certainly a man of not many words. I never tell him this before but I do sense a deep melancholic of emotion that is locked at the bottom of his heart. Each time when he talks about Ireland always reminds me of the lonliness when I was in Perth for the 1st 2 years.Nevertheless, I felt this is so wrong/ungrateful of him just to send a SMS assuming things which is not true. When did I ever disappoint him when he needs help in Perth in whatever ways. When did I not offer my invitation for him to come my place for dinner so that you can make yourself feel more at home. When you screwed up your flight, your friends and myself have encouraged you to move on.

Is that really difficult to come up and clarify this instead of telling me off via SMS?

Rocephine ;(
Hi, where do you come from?

I'm so tired waking up early in the morning like 6 yish to have a shower before getting on the road to the clinic. In fact, my body is still in the snooze mode and thank goodness the first patient didn't turn up (due to diarrhoa? poor man) and I managed to grab a cuppa Earl Grey.

----okay my eyes are closing now......time check 5pm..let me take a nap first...zzzz

Back...
I had a great nightout with Shougi and Raj (my nursing pals) at the Hip-E club. Poor mates were 'attacked' by the gays. And they just had to pretend to act like a couple. And the funny thing is shougi always takes care of us really well and both girls can't stop pretending that shougi is 'mine'. And of course, I did bought drink for Shou too. Even though he has heaps of money in his pocket, one shouldn't greed on others. Bought him a Becks and glad he likes it.Budweiser is still the better choice for me though. After a couple of beers and a shot of Tequlia, I put up a brave front and say 'hi' to this dude at the bar. This is usually not my cup of tea but what the heck. He was gentlemanly enough to get me a Lemon Ruski (yeahhhh, russian vodhka) while I bought him a Canadian Club in return. After much chatting, we decided to get down to the dance floor.Erm, this is part where it gets a little saucy...uhm...anyway, we didn't kiss or anything like this and he got my number. At this point of time, my study is still the main priority and emotional matters should take a back seat. I would only decide to step into a relationship when I feel 100% confidence in giving my committment and trusting him to feel that way too.
That's the thing....I trust people too much..too easily and I'm always the one end up getting hurt.

Time

Nothing's much happening today except I went for a full body massage which I think I need it for quite some time. The neck and upper back ache is killing me. Sent a few postcards to my lovely VirtualTourist friends. And my boss hasn't pay me yet! What the??

Wish I got more time to read other stuffs like non-med related books. I wish I can squeese in more time to visit my patient friends. Wish I can have more time to bake some delicious blueberry muffins for my friends here.

In fact, my plan for next semester is to take up Golf Clinic and right now, Zhen and myself took our first Jazz dance class today! It was not that expensive and the practice is held in a church not far from our place.

Morrison : Jazzy and Blues Cafe

Yesterday I was out almost the whole day! Firstly, drove down to Alexander Heights to see Hung about my first start at his clinic next Friday. Yippee! How exciting!

Then received a message from Raj and so both of us decided to go carousel for some shopping. Didn't get anything much except a fabulous looking top for 10 bucks.
Headed down to the river for a run..and this keeps getting better. I need to run to clear my mind and unecessary emotions so that I can say focus what is important for me right now. I do understand that there are some people who come in and out of my life and only the geninue ones will leave their footprints behind. Friends are so important in life and sometimes, we only can concentrate on those which we think they are important. Yes, some friends are also worth to even send an email or saying Hi and no doubt we may not be one of the closest friends.

Keep those friends out whom doesn't respect you and even admit your presence. Because I don't think they are worth the time and your precious efforts.

Later the night, Zhen picked me up to go for a Star Sun concert- a famous singaporean pastor turned singer came to Perth. I bought her CDs and indeed, the lyrics do reflect on my current feelings.
After the concert, Zhen and myself went down to Northbridge and had Chinese for dinner plus check out this fantastic lovely cafe.
MOrrison "Blues and Jazzy cafe" ,next to Elephant pub.
I love the music , ambience, nice staffs and probably i should go there again.
Oh dear, I'm beginning to fall in love with that place...

City to Shop

Woke up late in the morning and I felt I'm almost freezed to death. One may think that I could have gotten used to the weather by now but nope. I can never fight against the cold. Made some pancakes for breakfast before heading down to uni to hand in my assignments. Met Therese (who is a nursing laboratory technician) at Nursing building and Beth (over at podiatry building) for lunch. All of us had a good catch up conversations. Soon, I left and took public transport to the aboriginal health centre to meet Sam -my senior in podiatry to return him his assignment and again, we had a few mins of talk coz' i didn't want to take up too much of his time since he's having lunch half way through.

Took a train down to City and gee, I felt that it has been a long time that I step into the region. My best bargain of the day is a Sportsgirl turtleneck top for only $5 bucks.Whee! And other wise, I've made a list of things to buy which didn't happen in the end.Saw a couple of books that I wanna buy!EEKS* Maybe going to Carousel will be a better option.
But first, I need to drive down to the practice at Alexander Heights.

Don't feel like doing anything on a Friday night....*sign* maybe I should be reading through all those insurance policies in regards to my practice.

Otherwise, I'll be going to have teh tarik session with my g.f later. So bored shitless on a Friday night. And meeting up with Zhen tomorrow night. Gosh* we spoke so much crap on the phone.
Meanwhile, Rea from Budapest is leaving from Warsaw. She just had her exams and poor thing she was sick like a puppy.

Paws day on sunday! Wish I can participate in that event! Where can i rent a dog uh??
Everything happens for a reason

Have been running up and about today. Sorted my pay invoice with the boss and I can't wait for the blings blings into my account.Went back home after that and finally, my assignments are reaching till the end of the road. 2 more to go for this semester before I call it quits for this degree programme.

Rang Hung yesterday and hope he can give me more jobs over the coming holiday.I am considering to continue my nursing job too. The other reason why I want to work so hard is because my travel bug is biting on me. My next destination is Sydney and indeed, I can't wait to sit on one of those planes again! With who? God knows.

Went out with Zhen later this evening to a Christian Summit concert and that was excellent.Met Chrissy and her b.f after that at a Bubble teahouse in Northbridge. Weather has been getting more and more chilly and I've swopped to my duck feathered blanket now.Ahhh* It is so hard to get out of the bed every morning which i prefer to get snuggled under the blanket though ;p

*ponder* Sometimes, I wonder what is exactly going through a man's brain. Every now and then, I got to know some new guys who treated me nicely and yet the following day, they will just "disappeared" without any reason. For instance, J was one of the sweetest guy I've ever met.He is probably the first guy to ask my permission to kiss me and never did I hear from him again after that. Maybe he has found someone whom he likes or he's good in his fling-ing. The point I'm trying to get across is that my first intention of getting to know a guy is to be his friend first. However, along the way of getting- to -know process always divert to something else. This happens countless of times. Or perhaps, is there something wrong in myself? keep attracting these sorts of men who can drive me emotionally disturbed.
Will such guys please leave me alone?

For a moment I thought he would be a great pal to watch a Sarah Brightman concert, or to attend a party for fundraising for cancer kids, or go to a museum visit together or even have a good chat over a beer session.

I'm sure these things happened for a reason...and I've yet to find out.

I only understand Him is the greatest and will love me unconditionally.

PAY

My boss asked me to speak to his wife in-charge of my pay invoice personally. In fact, tax invoice number 6 has not been paid into my account almost for a month and yet she claimed she did. I wonder did she take into that account seriously or not. I've printed out my bank statement and ready to prove to her that she's wrong. And also, I've not been paid as well for other job.
duh* Clinic is starting too slowly for me.On the other hand, the other boss seems to keep telling me patients come back because i've not taken a corn off totally or callous off or whatever. Bah* Guess this is what will happen for a new graduate like me being an inexperienced green horn in foot industry.

I need more jobs! More money to go travelling and I reckon my next destination would be sydney. However, I've already forsee more bills is coming up - professional indemnity and car registration. arrghh*

Hurry up weekends!

The thought of J is still flashing on and off my mind. Perhaps, it has been a long time that someone who is so gentle with me and yet, just another sad ending story.

Doing my second assignment now.....Gosh* I wish I can stop typing for a sec.Doing palliative care assignments are never fun.I can't wait for weekends to come. Watching a concert with Zhen and Chrissy on Saturday. And not sure what Anna is up to over the weekends but I guess there will be a plan to meet up the dudes from Canada.Feeling so tired....was chatting with my dentist g.f in Mt Isa as usual. And Martin from Israel, he is one great awesome friend that I ever had. Always ready to lend one of his listening ears.In fact, he was asking me how to advice his only daughter about boy-girl relationship and in relation to intimacy matters. Well, I'm sure dad would be panicking when his little girl starts to grow up ..heh.

Otherwise, still having tough luck with cars..Haven't found anything I like yet but I'm taking my own time.

Reassurances

I plucked up the courage to call J and he sounded uninterested or tired. Of course it was disappointing. However, I cannot assume anything from here, like what KH has said. I've showed my sincerity and the next step is his. Moving on moi!

I had a great time @Metro yesterday with a huge bunch of people from Vickery house-university hostel. Was out with Shougi, Shan , Raj and myself having dinner at Kim chee house. The crowd slowly picked up at around 12yish. Oh yeah, it was hot dancing with some guys out there *lol* anyway, I had a great time and Shougi was nice to buy me most of the drinks for that night.Almost suffered from hangover this morning.

It was mom's b'day yesterday and I'm gald she has received my present.heehee. and also dad asked me to advertise my car from now onwards! Woohoo!!
Gotta type my assignment now, plus having menses blue.

Bursting my heart out

This is how I describe the moment I'm feeling right now. Had a bad day probably: forgot to bring a towel when I went for a swim.Don't know why I ain't got a good feeling today.Feel utterly bad.
Dad didn't get back to me about the car. Firstly, I showed him a mirage and he rejected it because there are a couple of accidents before that. The price was reasonable though. Next, showed him an Echo. This time he claimed he doesn't like the colour. It is a white car and then he commented about the pricing. The car costs about 8k+.I don't like him to give me any false hopes. He sounded serious to have my car changed since March and finally, he said he'll have it changed in June. It is really hard to believe his words. And he added on saying he needs to discuss with mom about it blah blah.
I know I should be contented with what I have. What makes me so vexed is when someone gives me a green light to do something that doesn't seem to happen at all.
In fact, I felt that I'm wasting my time and effort.
Why do I have to listen to him ALL the time - from choosing boyfriends to cars and life.
And even car colours need to be approved by him. I told him before, if you think you can't do anything, then don't say anything to me.

On the lighter note, can't help being bored shitless at home.Went to watch starsky and hutch. Not too bad with lotsa couples around while I got the whole row by myself.
This is not pathetic. I got my own life to lead and I know I'll get over it.
R called up last minute to cancel our teh tarik session coz she watching movie with her partner..*sign* no teh tarik tonight then :O(
HOPE

i always "hope" the best for any of my friends -in regardless I've known you for a long or short period of time. I think I 'over-cared' too much at times? Is this normal in the first place? I know I'm currently feeling a little guilty because i saw my g.f's dude is hanging around with a couple of girls and this also verifies of what I've seen with another of his pal. From here, I just 'hope' again the best will come out of it.

Today is my first time offering for free footcare services down at St Pat's community services. Woke up feeling with full of enthusiatics and even though the idea of not getting paid doesn't seem to worry me. In fact, I was working flat out seeing as many people as I can. Sister Alma is nice and guides me along if I do need any help.So does Stella too. Booked an appointment to see a Chiropractor for my sore back. Can't wait for that to happen.

Otherwise, things are going really slow in the clinic.Came back from work and slept through for an hour. Cooked tuna pasta for dinner before heading to uni to print out my assignments. 2 more assignments next week. I'm still hanging there...by next month, I'll be done with my 2nd degree.Whoppie!

Assumptions

I've learnt not to judge people in regardless what happened. That goes to J. He probably has his own reasons why he didn't call and I just hope he's doing fine.
Making unnecessary assumptions only makes one feel more upset and irritating with all the negative outcomes. Let time tells the truth.

Ok, 4 more assignments to go till the end of the month and that sums up the end of semester, which means, also my nursing degree. With just only one exam to sit in June and I hate that research exam to the max. It is too throat cutting to even study.*sign*

Went to Hip-E club with Chrissy and she got me an English pom to chat with me that night. She was just considerate and doesn't want me to feel left out. Moreover her b.f is there so....you can imagine if you were in my shoes. A kiwi called J (same name as Irish) came and talked to me.He was SooooOOoo shy!? gosh* I talked even louder than him. PLus, he was so gay! That might not be the truth though unless I've asked him :P Awesome nightout indeed.

My boss was asking me if I am going to find an Aussie dude here and get married.Wish i can know the answer *lol*. And i told him that I probably need some recommendations from him and he wanted to intro this 40 yr old muscian (apparently he claimed HE IS A NICE DUDE) to me. No way! erm, that is a bit "far" to catch up uh.
Think everyone is starting worrying for my future....and that makes me shaking a little for now.

Anyway, I'm glad work and school have been keeping me busy. Taking my mind off certain things. And tomorrow I'll be going to St Pat's church to give some free services to the poor and I'm actually looking forward to that!No doubt some friends of mine think I'm crazy treating Aborginals' feet.I mean, what's wrong with that?
